Landing Movers Reviews (%countItem)

HORRID!!!! I would give zero stars if I could. First, the quote was for $1600. I had read the reviews about the increase in cost at pickup due to extra items, so I was EXTREMELY detailed about our inventory. There was NOTHING picked up for shipping that was not on our inventory. The *** that picked up our stuff called at 12n (a day late! was supposed to be picked up on 09/15, they did not come until 09/16). He said they were finishing a job and would be to us in a few hours. He called at 4pm and said they would be by us at 5:20. I called him at 6pm when they still were not there and he said that it was late so they stopped to eat and it was Sunday and would now be to us at 6:30p. He did not call to say they were going to stop. We were waiting to get our dinner for them to arrive too, so by 7p we still had not eaten our dinner, but they had!
After they loaded half our stuff and took our payment of $770, he stated that the cost quoted was not valid and it would cost $2700!!! Almost DOUBLE of our quote!! When I stated that we then didn't want the service, he said that was fine, but he wouldn't give back our money!!!! He said we had to pay for the service received (ie their hour drive from Orlando to Daytona!). After MUCH yelling and arguing, he miraculously called someone and came down to $2000 (still $460 higher than our quote), even though he told me there was no one else but him that I could speak with!

We had a delivery "window" from 10/01-10/14. It is now 10/22 and we still DO NOT have our shipment!!! I have called twice. Once last week and I was told our items had been loaded for delivery two days before I called and it would be here by the weekend. Nothing! No call. No email. Nothing!

I called again this morning and was told that they are trying to reach the driver and would get back to me by END OF DAY!!! It is going to take them ALL DAY to make a phone call to the driver! The man who answered the phone got an attitude with me saying he was going beyond his job duties to help me and that was all he could do! When I asked who I could speak to, I was told she is not in until 3pm!

This is the most horrible service I have ever experienced! Not only were they late for pickup and charged us extra even though we had no extra items (and they even missed loading an item in our shipment that we had transport ourselves!!!), but it is now 8 days past our delivery window and they don't even know where our shipment is! This is horrid!

Moved me from my house in TN to their storage facility in GA on 7/8 (were supposed to be there on 7/7). Charged me almost $1,000 more dollars after truck was loaded than was estimated and threatened to unpack the truck if payment was not received. Money was paid in good faith that an adjustment could be madewith the company at a later date. I never received a phone call from management that evening that an overage was needed and why and according to the signed service agreement, the movers are not allowed to ask for additional monies at time of service unless a revised estimate had been reviewed, agreed upon, and signed by me. Since that time, unable to speak to anyone at company until last night when they called at almost 8 asking where they could deliver my belongings because they had to get my things out of their facility due to closing their long distance services'? Alex, the manager, who spoke to last night was extremely rude and unprofessional. I kept asking point blank questions of why and his answer was always, "When can we deliver your things'" I asked him last night why my estimate is now almost double of what the original was (I never received a revised estimate with explanation of overage). I asked for one to be sent to me last night before I ever agreed to anything over the phone. He also threatened to auction my belongings off if my balance was not paid in full. I do have the one and only signed estimate along with the mover's actual inventory list (which is actually less items than what was originally estimated). My complaints are focused on breach of contract, billing, customer service, as well as being threatened by the company.
Product_Or_Service: Packing and long distance moving/storage

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I feel as if I need help resolving the dispute of the remaining bill. I do not agree with their current practice of attempting to over charge their customers and their unethical way of doing so. I am also afraid that at time of delivery, care may not be taken to my items and will have no additional way of receiving my payment for broken items as was also part of the signed service agreement.

Please refund my $ 380 advance payment because your truck never arrived and we cancelled the move 48 hours before due date.
Order # ***

You promised that truck will be there to pick up stuff on 02 July, 2018. When you delayed till Friday (06 July, 2018) we cancelled the order.

Now we want the full money (380 $) to be refunded back because we cancelled 48 hours before due date.

You delay and distract me on the phone. Keep me holding. Give me runarounds but I am not going away until I receive my full advance back!

Thank you.

Desired Outcome

Refund full advance- 380 usd.

Company representative did not resolve issues with packaing company conerning move of provate home to New York.
Contract with Nationwide Moving was sublet to All State Movers. Contract called for packing and delivery at a fixed cost. All State Movers increased cost by 1) charging fee not included in contract, 2) All State Movers were given an eroneous contract , 3. Packer fraud the receipt for the downpayment. 4) Contractor would not release final contract until a forced tip was collected. I did not sign the final compilation form as it conatin errors from the original contract I signed. Representative of Nationwide stated in email, they would move all my furniture at the contract price. Fibal price was 1400 dollars more

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a reduction fo chrages as follows. Contract call for packing of hospital bed, I was chartged 150 dollars Deposit was 1092 dollars, contractor wrote 1017, 75 dollar shortage. I was charged an additional cubic ft of 831.25 Representative stated on email. that the move woyld be done for a fixed amount, their bid was binding.

I hired nationwide moving to move me from Missouri to Florida. I was locked in a guaranteed rate of $3000 and the day of the move I was told by an obviously contracted man that he wouldn't move me for less than $7100. After much arguing and phone calls the representative "Romeo-Josh" assured me that my home would be moved and we settled on an addition $1250 (due to I apparently had gone over my 100 box limit. Somehow this company figured out that I would only be using a total square footage of 652 csqft for a living space of 1100 sft. Needless to say all my furniture was not loaded in the Penske truck that was sent. And I was told by the "driver" that he could come back in a day or so with another truck and take the rest of my items for another $1200. Now I am tasked with trying to figure out another way to get my remaining furniture to my new home 1300 miles away. I have sent "Romeo-Josh" a text about the situation and I have yet to get a reply or acknowledgement. I feel that I was scammed and forced to pay additional for an incomplete service.

The company was very unprofessional, and dishonest. We were told our household would be packed and moved by the same individuals, from Jacksonville Florida to San Jose California. This was not true the two men who came were in an unmarked truck, the ad shows a truck with the colors of an American flag on it. The father and son arrived and began to pack our items, included in the original estimate were 2 sets of china but they tried to charge more for packing materials which I refused to pay because they were already included. Also packed were 2 wardrobe boxes 1 of which was never delivered. Our property was picked up on 7/15/17, we were told it would be delivered by 7/30. The property wasn't delivered until until 8/23/17, the chinaware, crystal and an ceramic angel set were all in pieces. We found out later our property sat in a wharehouse for 2-3 weeks waiting for them to fill a truck. Upon arrival our 83 year mother was bullied into signing the invoice saying she had received everything even though she kept saying her clothing was missing. A month later my mother suffered a stroke! Stress and a broken heart contributed to her illness. This company is horrible and should never be allowed to damage another customer as they did us

Replacement Of course I would love to have our items returned but I realize that's impossible. Please fine, or flag this business in some way so they aren't able to swindle anyone else. They need to be put out of business !!!

My girlfriend is moving to south Florida and was in need of a moving company. We chose nationwide moving company because of the price. After being told that our availability aligned with theirs, they called back the next day and said that they had to move us up in schedule and that they would be here in 24 hours... 4 days before our desired move-out date, and way ahead of schedule (in a bad way. We were not packed, and stayed up all night trying to pack the entire house in one day). The morning of the move, after being told they would be here at 4:00 by the manager, he said that he would have the driver call us and give us more details. Two hours later, at noon, still no phone call. Called the manager back again, and he told us that they were running late and wouldn't be here until 6:00, but he would have the driver call us within 30 minutes. Another hour later, still no phone call. So we called the manager again, and no answer. Keep in mind, every time we talked on the phone, not one time did they ever mention the name of their company'nor did they refer to us by name, or even care what it was. Now that everything in the house was packed, and necessities were boxed up, we were getting anxious. A different moving company contacted us after an unexpected cancellation on their end, and told us they had an opening, and could take care of us. MUCH more professional, and gave us peace of mind. So we took it. Called NMC and planned on leaving a cancelation voicemail, yet the manager,*** answered. We politely told him that we were not happy with the services due to how unprofessional they were, and that we decided to go with another company. Within the next 15 minutes, we got about 4 phone calls from 2 different numbers (I can only imagine it was the driver and his boss). They first told us that they could push the date back (funny, because they couldn't do that earlier), then they called us 'disgusting human beings', cussed us out, and hung up on us.

Will never recommend this company to anyone

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I don't want anymore phone calls from this business. My girlfriend is actually scared that they will show up today anyway, and be threatening like they were over the phone, now that they know our address.

Called this company because I had a last minute move. They reeled me on with a very cheap price and all seemed well until it came time to talk to their movers. Martin told me these guys worked for their company and they weren't a 3rd party company. That did not seem to be the case when I talked to the movers... they never once mentioned the name of their company on the phone, they asked me if I could be packed in 1 day instead of the 4 days that I asked for and they said they could do. So I rushed and packed my entire house in one day. I tried to call 3-4 times and I always heard a "the driver will call you in 30 minutes"... never called me. They also changed their arrival time on me 3 times. Then I tried to call both the manager and Martin and neither would answer. I was very sketched out after reading some reviews and they already seemed a little unprofessional anyway, but the price was too good to not try. So I decided to go with a different company after my gut was screaming something was wrong. When I called to tell them I was going with a different company since no one wanted to call me back and let me know what was going on, the manager proceeded to call me 3 times and text me telling me how disgusting I am. When I stopped answering his calls, he called me from a different number to continue telling me how disgusting I am. So basically they decided to harass me and prove how unprofessional they are and make me thankful I decided to go with a different company and not let them into my home! A cheaper price is not worth it people. You get what you pay for.

On April 29th, Nationwide Moving arrived at my parents house in *** A contract prior to their arrival was written by Alison a representative of Nationwide Moving, signed electronically with a quote of 1379.73. After loading my belongings (which were already dissembled and wrapped from a previous move), the driver closed the truck and told my father price increased to 2900 therefore asking for 50% to be paid right away. After writing a check, my father called me and I called the driver and told him I have the right to cancel services as it was within 72 hours, as stated in my contract. The driver refused to return my property after numerous phone calls. I spoke with *** from nationwide and ***, who played good cop bad cop with me; threatening to sue my retired military father for cancelling his check and keeping my property in Norcross GA. May 4th *** and myself agreed upon 2K for the total, I just wanted this company out of my life and to leave my parents alone. Nationwide demanded 50% paid via wire transfer or they would not deliver. In good faith, I went ahead and transferred the money. In an email from ***, it states my property would arrive 5-15 days. It is now May 30th, no one will return my calls and I literally have not been able to move into my apartment because I am uncertain of what I need to buy. I am going to go ahead and assume my property is being held by this company and I will have to just rebuild what I already had. My memories are gone and things I had worked for and paid for have vanished. I am hoping this complaint is read by many and does not fall on deaf ears. This has been the most stressful move I have ever experienced. This "company" is full of thieves, liars, and deceitful humans who have no backbone or integrity.

Delivery I would expect 5500$ for delay in move of my property along with 1000.00 i have deposited. I am living at other peoples homes and have already paid 3400 up front for my new place which lays vacant. I have asked my brother to come out to help me with the move and i have wasted his time and money. 6500$ total is what i would expect for any sort of resolution with this company.

Customer Response • Jun 08, 2018

Nationwide has not delivered. They will not provide me with any sort of ETA there are no notes of where my property is. best they can do is "allow you to go to our storage and you can pick it up". They have 1000$ cash from me and my personal belongings. I will be opening up complaint again.

Two boxes were missing from my move. Later was told boxes were found and would be delivered but after 5 weeks no boxes and no response to calls/emails
Moving estimate accepted on March 19 for Job #*** for move from Marietta, GA to Ashburn, VA

Shipment picked up on March 20 - handwritten job number of ***

Delivery was scheduled for March 23 but actual delivery was March 31

Two boxes were missing from delivery. I was told they were probably left at warehouse.

On April 4 I was told the missing boxes had been located and would be delivered to VA address.

Boxes still had not been delivered on April 27 so I called the number shown on the bill of lading (***) to inquire about status. Nobody answered so left message. Call was not returned.

On May 2 I called again to inquire about the status. Again the call was not answered nor was it returned.

On May 4 I sent an email to the address shown on bill of lading. Again there was no response.

While the missing boxes are my primary concern, it should be noted that the move itself was unprofessional. 6 boxes fell on ground when the truck door opened and another 4 boxes were dropped down a flight of stairs off a dolly. Other damage has since been identified

Desired Outcome

I simply want my boxes returned or delivered. My next step will be to file a police report for stolen property since Nationwide has it in their possession.

I contracted with *** Van Lines for a move from FL to MD. They quoted a price and gave me a 2 day window for pickup. I found out 2 days before the move the name of the company who was picking up. It was Nationwide Moving, DOT #***. I was told to expect them on Monday, 10/9/17. Waited until afternoon that day and phoned broker who didn't know any more than I did. Said unable to reach driver. I had Nationwide number and called. Person who does routing told me driver on the way, but wouldn't arrive until the 10th. He was extremely rude. He gave me drivers' number. Driver said would arrive the next morning. At noon on the 10th, called driver who said he was on the way and would be there at 1 and was bringing 3 men. Many calls later, they arrived at 4, but only 2 of them. Said others delayed. Driver was rude and abrupt. He repeated several times that more men were on the way, but they never came. When truck was loaded, he said the charge would be an additional $3,299. I asked him to weigh the truck, he refused saying not how they do it. Tried calling *** at 8 p.m., no answer. Driver told me if I contested the charges, they would add charges to my total for services he was providing with no cost. I had no choice but to accept. No one has been willing to talk to me about any of this. I am an elderly lady and feel I was taken advantage of. Original estimate was $2975. Final cost $6274. I found out from *** that it was my choice to weigh the shipment.

Refund I believe this company owes me several thousand dollars and a huge apology.

Although, I was originally quoted a delivery time. My furniture didn't actually arrive until a full three weeks later. When calling the 800 number and attempting to speak to your representative you a constantly told they will call you back - they don't. When my furniture finally arrived an item (a Playstation 3) wasn't with the boxes. After repeatedly calling (Spoke with ***, let message for ***) to get this cleared up I was never contacted again to see if this issue can be resolved.

This is to inform you that this company Nationwide moving, was engaged to move our household items from Ga to NJ. We were supposed to get our things on the 20th of November. We have still not received our things not when it is going to arrive. They do not answer the phone or give us a delivery date. Our things have been with them for one month and we have no response from this company. We have been living in an empty house waiting for our things to arrive. The reviews on yelp regarding nationwide moving is really bad. They have put people just like myself through living help. The move cost $6300. They sell their business by saying that they are licensed with GDOT. I have filed a complaint with them about issuing license to businesses such as these, who treat people and their personal property with disregard and disrespect. I would like to know a date when our things would be arriving as it is long past the two day window that they gave us.just once my husband spoke to the manager and the excuse was that they cannot find driveres to drive our stuff from Atlanta to NJ. This is after charging us $6300. How unprofessional is that? They are a moving company. After this call they have avoided all
calls from us.Thank you for your help.

Desired Outcome

Delivery I would like the this company to call us with a delivery date and time for this week. We need our household items delivered before this weekend. They have been avoiding our calls, giving us no options for speaking to a live person.

HIT AND RUN:Companys Moving Truck hits my parked car and drives off.

On July 22, 2017 (My birthday) my car was parked at my address and around 3:30 to 4:00 am a boxed truck turned around in the entrance to my apartments and back on to the street and hit my car. They then fleed thinking knowone had seen them. There were two people out at the time walking there dog and seen the whole thing they got there plate number they even got into there car and chased the truck around the corner. She filed police report she got pics of the info off the truck. I later returned home to find out all this. I called the Moving company next day. They gave them info and spoke to Storm in dispatch. He was very sorry and said the owner frank would be getting back to me but he was out of town. And he would help me and they were sorry. Well acouple days goes by. I call back and get Storm whom puts me on hold. I hold and hold for hours. I hang up call back serval times and put of hold this goes on for about a week. never have gotten to speak to frank dont think there is a frank. Storm is no longer with the company.(got fired)He was very sorry and he knew that and admitted to me that it was there fault verified that there truck was involved but never would give me info on driver or let me speak to anyone just put me on hold. So its a Enterprise Leased Truck so I call them get Phillip at the local Truck Lease Branch in Ga. He is very concerned and upset also because the moving company has felled to do anything at all. So he checks into things meanwhile Renters Insurance (***) whom I call they give me a claim#1113 etc. and send a adjuster out to look at my Cadillac he sends report to her so all info she needs from me she had except police report. I get that to her. She and I go back and forth because I just want my car fixed because Nationwide Moving compnay hit my car and fleed the seen. There were witnesses to the whole thing and just because the Moving Company is not taking care of there responibilty and willnt responde or even do anything and Enterprise Renters Insurance is telling me if they dont know who was driving the truck( the name of the driver) and since the Moving Company has felled to get the driver info to Renters Insurance or talk to the adjuster the driver then Im at a loss. There are witnesses to it all and I am at a total loss my car still not fixed and still waiting on Enerprise to tell me what if anything they are going to do. I will report the ending soon I hope.

Desired Outcome

Just want to fix my car.

Nationwide Movers have not delivered our things and wanted us to wire them a $700 storage fee that we were told was due upon delivery.
US DOT:*** Nationwide picked up all of our household belongings the last week of June 2017 in NJ and paid them around $1000+. We were moving to Florida and our home wasn't finished being built yet. When we arrived, we realized the home would take much longer to finish. We talked to ***, who told us no worries and that we could have them store our items and pay when we have them delivered. We called and spoke with *** in late September. He told me all was fine and to call when we were ready for delivery in October. I called all day today because no one would pick up my call on the weekend, which I thought was strange since they did prior. I finally insisted after no return calls and *** telling me I needed to speak to a manager that I was concerned. The person or manager became irate with me when I insisted I needed a bill before I wired them $700. He told me, "Fine, then. We will just deliver your things tomorrow. He was so angst driven that I asked to speak with another manager. I spoke with ***, who was very nice, but wouldn't take a credit card and had me call my bank to wire the money. My bank told me don't do it until you know they still have your things. I called and said let's just deliver everything tomorrow and I'll pay for the storage and our $1100 + balance. He said he'd call me back when he got to the office, which he has not done. I am afraid our belongings are gone, which I expressed to *** and the angry person who hollared at me. *** insisted they aren't, but I am not getting any follow up to the delivery of them. Can someone please help us get our things back?

Desired Outcome

Delivery of all of our things with full payment upon delivery.

Damaged Merchandise upon delivery, overcharged for packing and delivery by $600 above amount on contract
We contacted Nationwide moving on 9/29/17 for an estimate to pick up furniture from a private seller in Miami FL. We received and approved an estimate (***) of $801 from ***, our sales representative, for pick up and delivery of the furniture from Miami FL to Pendergrass GA. The furniture was picked up on October 3, 2017. We made a number of phone calls to Nationwide to determine an approximate delivery date, which kept changing. Our sales representative indicated that we would receive a phone call at least 24 hour in advance of our furniture delivery. On Thursday 12 October, we received a phone call around 3:30 PM from a Nationwide representative indicating that our furniture would be delivered around 7PM that same day. He also stated that our final bill would be $1500 cash or no delivery. We could not provide cash on that short notice, since banks would close before we could get there. This was the first time we were made aware the charge would be $1500, so we were blindsided by this. They said the additional charges were for extra packaging and handling. There was only one large mirror and a hutch with glass shelves and doors that would have required extra packaging. We sent pictures of items in advance. After much discussion with the movers an agreement was made for $1400 in cash, and shipment would be delivered the next day. Our original agreement (as stated on the estimate) was to pay 50% by credit card upon pickup, and the balance in cash upon delivery ($401). We had submitted previously the necessary paper work for Nationwide to do this. Our representative sent an email confirming this on 10/3/17. However, that didn't occur. Upon delivery of furniture under Job No: ***, two items (dining room chairs) had the legs broken off. These were the last items removed from the truck. The delivery guys acknowledged the damage at that time, and said we should contact the office and submit a claim. They did not present us with a bill of laden when asked to show items delivered and no paperwork for us to sign. They just said to contact the Norcross office, and submit photos to show the damage. They said a repairman would come out to our location and fix the damaged items. They left quickly after damage was discovered, and did not provide any signed documentation of the damages. A claim was submitted to Nationwide Moving on 10/14/17 with photos of the two damaged chairs. Subsequent calls to the Norcross office resulted in busy signals. The sales representative finally answered my call. He said he couldn't solve our problem but he indicated that they had received the claim with pictures. He indicated that I needed to contact the customer service manager. The manager's phone was busy so I left messages for the manager to return my calls, which he hasn't done so far. We are concerned after reviewing the records for this company, and by the way the delivery personnel responded to us, and by the manager not returning our calls. Also, we believe they demanded cash, even though they had agreed to process our credit card, so we would have no recourse if there were problems, which there are.

Desired Outcome

We contacted a number of furniture repair establishments in the local area to get an estimate of the cost to repair the two chairs. The range of cost was from $150 to $165 per chair. We do not want to wait weeks to get the chairs repaired, since we only have 2 chairs available to use. Either Nationwide can send someone out to repair them to our satisfaction, and in a timely manner, or allow us to get them repaired with the understanding that they will reimburse us for the costs. We have already paid this company $600 more than what was agreed upon in our contract, and don't think we should have to pay another $300 or more to get the items they damaged repaired.

Nationwide Moving Inc,
US DOT: 694160 MC: 321779
This company is the worse moving company ever. They told us of an estimate of $2700, when our belongings were half way in the truck the in charge Russian, says it's going to be $6500. Why didn't they explain how they do business? We told them the size of the house, dates and storage of time. Everything went horrible.
We got the estimate through Martin (guessing one of the employee scammers), we complained of what had happened the day of the movers at our house. How the Russian, don't know his name, went from $2700 to $6500. He said he would talk to his manager, we waiting for an answer for almost two weeks then called again, (of course, we contacted them via email and phone several times in between). On this day Martin finally answered, tells me he is going to transfer my call to his manager. Frank (dictionary concept for reduced intellectual content), all he does is say to pay or get my things thrown out of the storage, knowing I'm in another state.
RUN, RUN...they don't explain their business correctly and get you scammed through your belongings.

The company delivered my household goods and there was damage to my television, lawnmower, and two dining room table chairs. I sent pictures of the television and lawnmower which were purchased new in summer 2016 showing that they do not work. I have provided the company with receipts showing proof of purchase for the television and lawnmower as I decided to not include the costs of the damaged chairs.

The company stated that it would pay me for the replacement costs but has failed to send me the settlement money after months of stating it would. I believe that this is a pattern and that the company is trying to avoid paying me. I have tried to handle this professionally and have sent emails and made phone calls inquiring about the money that is owed me. Each time someone says that they will send the money and they take my address information but no check has arrived.

I RECENTLY BOOKED A MOVED FROM PALM COAST FLORIDA TO ELMONT NEW YORK. I CAN HONEST SAY THAT I HAD NO PROBLEMS.... RONNIE WAS THE BEST

This moving company tried to charge me over double the amount that we agreed upon, after truck was loaded then gave me another invoice and tried to charge me for packing that was covered in my invoice, then charges for items that were included that were agreed upon prior to the move, after my furniture was loaded then gave me this outrageous bill, originally was for $1099.00, then he gave me a bill for $2588, I spoke to *** at this company beforehand and she said there would be NO hidden charged and the exact items we confirmed that were being moved with 22 boxes, I didn't have 22 boxes, I had 15! We boxed and tapped all boxes ourselves with our own boxes! I think they are taking advantage of women and this is a scam operation. *** said it would be $1100.00. Then he tried to charge me for gas, and this is included as well. My invoice Fully quilted padding and wrapping of all furniture included in the price. Your furniture is held hostage on the truck and loaded and then they give you this inflated bill. I went over all the charges prior with *** and she said not to worry this is the final price, we don't do business like the other movers and don't have hidden charges. I spoke to 5 other companies and she assured me they don't do business like these other companies. The driver started to make excuses, well this is a long drive, bigger sofa, it's not, etc. *** said they were sending a smaller van since it was a smaller move. Their business practices are very dishonorable and unethical.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment 1.I would like this resolved by them honoring the original invoice of $1099.00 2.If they do not honor this, I want a refund and for them to return my items
