The company (Travel Resorts of America) told me on April 18 that if I filled out the Mutual Release form, my husband I would be released from our contract and refunded our original amount due in FULL with a check. We have not received this promised check. I also called the company that handles our payments and they are unaware of any account cancellation. I am extremely frustrated with TRA and their customer service.

I am rejecting this response because:
The contract  you are referring to, we never got a copy of at the time of purchase. You had to mail me a copy AT MY REQUEST and  I have no idea what may have been added or taken from the contract since we did not get one at the time of purchase. Considering how we have been taken advantage of so far, it would not surprise me if the contract was altered. Your employee did not give me the original contract at the time of purchase. She also told me several things that apparently were not true. My wife and I both ask several questions to make sure that we were going to get what she told us and we were reassured several times that all we had to do was call her and she would take care of it. EVEN if it wasn't written in the contract. So I think that makes this contract null and void. Why should I be held responsible for your employees negligence.  I would like my membership cancelled because we are clearly NEVER going to get what she told us. How were we supposed to know that what she was saying was not true!! Furthermore we were unable to cancel in the allotted time because we were avoided and completely disregarded after the many attempts we made to not only contact the Company but your employee as well!! I have no idea how you can cancel something when you can't even get a hold of someone. This is Ridiculous!! I'm also maddened by the fact that whoever is answering these emails probably has no idea what even went on in that specific office. We tried  over and over to contact Member Services as well and they just kept telling us that they would relay that message to Corporate and they NEVER called us back either. We tried that half a dozen times and they kept telling us the same thing over and over with NO ONE ever getting back to us!!! How can you possibly say that we didn't do it in the allotted time when we did everything on our part and NOT ONE person acknowledged our request??????Regards,

We have carefully reviewed our member’s response and all of the contracts in their file. It is our position that we have a valid contract and that we made a fair offer to resolve this issue. We will change our offer to reimburse our member $1000 and resolve this issue.

We are going to be reaching back out to the consumer to help facilitate this resolution. We are confident that this will be resolved to their satisfaction.

provided them with requirements as to how to have this matter resolved to their
satisfaction. The spouse of the consumer
who submitted this complaint stated that the action item required to resolve
this matter was one they were willing and able to takeWe are awaiting
documentation that will be submitted to us by the consumer so that we may
process their requestWe do not expect any issues in resolving this matter and
are only waiting on this one item to move forwardWe will reach out again to
the consumer once this item is receivedThank you

Please find attached copy of the file for our members the [redacted]. The payment amounts for the membership they purchased are clearly detailed. The [redacted] also signed up for [redacted] credit card. WE have no way of knowing the purchase, balance and resulting monthly payments due on this credit card. The...

[redacted] membership is renewable each year if the [redacted] maintain their Coast to Coast membership. We provide all documentation prior to a new member enrolling and send all copies home with them as well.
