Unfortunately, we cannot refund the $asked for because we had to pay our cleanup contractor to clear the apartment from items left by the resident

Review: For two months I have been having an infestation of drain flies in my unit. I have contacted the leasing office on several occasions to resolve the matter. Pest control was only sent to my unit once a week when I called to complain. Management is well aware of my problem but has done nothing to ensure I am aware of what is being done to solve this disgusting problem. Over the past week I was informed that contractors were finally looking into the building pipes to see the root of the problem. These flies are everywhere! Mainly in my bedroom. I've come home to over 50 flies around my walls, not to mention in my BEDROOM. I am disgusted with the problem, due to the fact these flies breed from filth in the drains. I also have done my research and these flies may cause problems for someone with asthma as myself! I cannot even cook or eat a decent meal without flies attacking me. This is ridiculous! Long story short I have requested an apartment transfer on several occasions only to be told by a leasing agent (since the manager is ALWAYS unavailable) that I would have to pay $500 for an early transfer or would have to wait 3 months until my lease is up to transfer for free. After calling again I was told that the problem will definitely be fixed by tomorrow. Without anyone even entering my unit. Oh and now they have lowered my transfer fee to $250 if I'm still interested. I refuse to have to pay to be transferred for a problem that is harmful to my health and taking management 2 months to "try" and solve. I have fly strips full of flies, pictures and ziplock bags with dead flies. Not to mention the black smudge marks on my walls from trying to kill these nasty creatures. It brings me to tears to think I should be expected to live with drain flies and comforted with "pest control will be out again on friday"! I HATE INSECTS, BUGS and all of the above. Sad to say I referred my friends to move here.Desired Settlement: I WANT TO BE TRANSFERRED WITH NO CHARGE, AT THE SAME RENTAL RATE. I AM DISGUSTED.

Review: When applying for this apartment I was required to pay application and security deposit at the same time. My apartment was available on the 12th. My scheduled move in date was July 20th when I arrived no one took me to see the apartment. We received the keys to the apartment and the apartment was a mess tools everywhere, moled on the tiles, refrigator was dirty with stains, and debris, and everything in the kitchen was dirty. I spoke with the leasing agent and she told me we have until 5pm to have your apartment ready and there are no refunds. I spoke with management and she didn't even acknowledge the apartment wasn't ready but said I should have come back later. I never signed a lease and requested my money back because of the lack of professionalism, the apartment being disgusting and the lack of concern or accountability.Desired Settlement: I would like my security and administrative fees back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Also I would like to add that [redacted]'s response was false however [redacted] the CM paragraph was true. I did not inform [redacted] the reasons why I am cancelling was a financial reason this apartment was bigger and had more amenties than the one I was currently in. It was strictly because the apartment was not clean and this gave me the impression that the company does not care about their residence or even have the decency to notify about the apartment was not ready.
