Laser Clinique Reviews (33)

Review: I purchased a laser package from their groupon add for 229.00 $ for 6 laser hair removal treatments. When I went they talked me into buying 2 more treatments and a lifetime membership of laser hair removal. Additionally to what I originally spent, I spent roughly another 400.00 $ for this company. I only received 3 treatments and I was Scheduled to have more treatments in September, I received an email saying they are under construction and as of now all appointments are canceled until further notice. I then received another email saying they are still in business and everyone will get their treatments once the renovations are done. They also said that customers can get services at their location in [redacted]. I sent them numerous emails about treatments and never got a response. I also tried called but all of their phone numbers are out of order, including their "supposedly other location". And I drove past the [redacted] business and it is now another business, not laser Clinique. I just want to get my treatment done and if not I believe I was scammed and deserve my money back. Thankfully I paid with my bank card so I have everything on record.Desired Settlement: I would like to finish my treatment still but if they are out of business I want all my money back, definitely for everything I paid extra for and for the treatments I did not receive yet.

Review: I visited Laser Clinique as a new customer seeking laser hair removal. I was persuaded buy [redacted] to buy additional lifetime guarantees which they have failed to honor. I was told that the company was now under new management and would not be honoring any guarantees made by the previous owner. They are the same company, with the same name, in the same building, with the same workers and phone numbers! How is that even legal?

Once the original treatment took over a year to complete (should have been down in 6 months) I have not been able to get them to honor the additional guarantee I purchased for continued lifetime treatment.Desired Settlement: I desire a full refund of the "Lifetime Guarantees" I purchased. In total, I spent an additional $354

Receipt # 1136 - $33

Receipt# 1156 - $321

At this time, I have not been contacted by Laser Clinique regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased sessions of laser hair removal with a lifetime guarantee for $600 in April 2013. I have been trying to schedule an appointment for the service and have not been able to get through to the company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $600.

Review: I am filing a complaint against Laser Clinique of [redacted] because they took my money for services I haven't received and the buinsess numbers are ringing out. In March 2013, I prepaid Laser Clinique for laser services on my body to get rid of unwanted hair. They told me in March it was a one time special. I paid over $500 for all the services I wanted to get done. I received a call from management saying that they are moving the office to [redacted] from [redacted]. I was upset because I didn't get an earlier notice. I had made a few appointments before I received their call informing me of the relocation. I was a bit suspicious because they would call me to reschedule my appointments until I got this call. During the call I made another appoinment for September [redacted] and I have been calling the business numbers since then and I can't get in touch with anyone who works at Laser Clinique. I have been calling everyday to get in touch with someone and I can't get in contact with anyone. I would like to get my money back because they clearly lied to me and took my money for services I haven't received.Desired Settlement: I would like to get in touch with Laser Clinique to either get my money back or to contintue to get the services I'm owed.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Laser Clinique regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I sent the company an email at [redacted] on October *, 2013 and have not received any response.

Sincerely,

Review: On June **, 2013 I received an email offer from Laser Clinique for 8 sessions of Laser Hair Removal for $999.00. I was told the deal would end by Saturday, June [redacted] and I had to bring cash in order to get the deal. I went that Saturday, paid in cash and received a receipt and a list of the areas I would be receiving the hair removal services for. I made my first appointment for August *, 2013. When I showed up they told me the laser was broken and my appointment was cancelled so I rescheduled for August **, 2013. A few days before my appointment I received a call that the laser was broken again and my appointment was cancelled again. The next day I got an email saying they would be moving to a new location and would not open until September [redacted]. THEN on September *, 2013 they sent another email saying that all appointments are cancelled until September [redacted]. Finally they sent an email on September **, 2013 saying that construction is not complete and will be "advising all patients as soon as the new facility is ready for business".

At the end of September, after not hearing from them, I sent them an email stating the services they were supposed to provide me and that I would like my money back. I have not heard back from them since, and I when I call the number given in the relocation email, it says it is no longer in service. I have tried called every few weeks since, and now I don't know what else to do. They still have never answered my email. I feel like I was scammed out of a lot of money. They said they were relocating to Copiague and I have no idea what is going on.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the money I paid since I never received any of the full body laser removal treatments.

Review: I purchased a Full Brazilian and Underarms Laser Hair Removal- unlimited Package with Life time warranty to remove any regrowth.

They charged me around $1900 that I still owe to GE Care Credit as I make monthly payments.

After my first session, they changed the machine-the Elma- (that they used initially to advertise for and lure to sign a contract) with another old machine that was extremely painful and completely ineffictive to remove the hair as they claimed. They kept cancelling my appointments and reschedulling them weeks longer than the intended 6-8 weeks for effective treatment thus disrupting the hair growth cycles and subsequently had an adverese effect and didnt remove the hair permenenatly. And now all of a sudden and without informing me as their current client with ongoing treatmenst they closed their location and disappeared, without me being able to finish my treatments. And after 15 months of useless sessions, all the hair has grown back as if nothing has been done.

I found out that they closed when I went to my appointment on **SEP2013 and found another lady who has been waiting for half an hour and told me it seems they scammed us and ran away.

I called their office several times and left one message and no one has answered my calls or got back to me.

They failed to honor effective treatmenst by using different machine than the one they showed me when I signed the contract and used it only for the first session. They failed to honor the guarantee of additional treatments in case or re-growthDesired Settlement: I purchased a medical service and was mislead by providing a different instrument. I wasn't able to finish my treatements effectively as they went out of bussines and disappeared. Now I have to pay another provider for the same service that I was charged and I still owe but didn't receive the service that was purchased. I would like a full refund please.

Review: I bought a Groupon with this vendor for 6 laser sessions. Additionally, when I went to my appointment I bought 2 more treatments for 6 sessions each. I went to two appointments, and as I tried to schedule another, there was an excuse that the laser was broken and they would call me to reschedule. Now the phone number is disconnected.

They claim to be moving locations but have not got in contact with customer.

Review: In September I visited laser clinique in Hicksville to start laser hair removal. I purchased a package for about $350. They only accepted cash or check. I wrote them a check and I checked my bank account and it was cashed. I was supposed to start my treatment on September **, 2013. I received no phone call, email or any sort of contact regarding my appointment. The office was closed. No one was there and I have not heard anything since. My friend also goes here and she received a few general emails stating they are moving to Copaigue and are delayed due to construction. She received the first email on September **, 2013. Her appointment from August was cancelled and they said they would reschedule all appointments. We have not heard anything since. When I visited laser clinique in Hicksville in September I was not told they would be moving. They wrote me a hand written reciept and later cashed my check.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I'm sure they took it and ran and are not reopening in Copaigue. Why wasn't I told they are moving when I paid them. I live in Garden City and I would not go to Copaigue. I want a refund. I also read an article saying they are illegally operating.[redacted]Please help me. Regards,[redacted]###-###-####

Review: I purchased a Groupon for 6 sessions for $229, then was talked into buying it for 3 other areas, for an additional $557 but only went for a few sessions. My appointments were constantly rescheduled due to a "broken laser", and were not consistent, even though during my initial consultation, the importance of coming every 8 weeks was stressed. The final straw was my appointment in August, which I arrived half an hour early for. The building was locked, so I sat in my car and waited an hour. I called the # several times only to get a message saying it was disconnected, and then finally a staff member came to the door (did not allow me in) and said that the building was closed for renovation. I expressed my disappointment that I never received a call, and instead of apologizing, the employee was extremely rude and dismissive. I filed a complaint on their website and have tried to call that number numerous times in the past 3 months but never got a response. I feel like I was cheated out of my money, and want a refund.Desired Settlement: Permanent shut-down of this business, it seems to be a scam based on what I've read. Also would like a refund.

Review: Please HELP!!!!! I got 3 areas 6 treatments of laser hair removal in Laser Clinique that I paid for but didnt use cause clinique have moved! Besides that they didnt let me know where they will move first they didn't reply on a voicemail.or online. Second- the phone is no longer in service!!! I'm desperate! I spend money and don't know how I can get it back... I had one small area and 2 large ones... First one I got online thru groupons the rest I payed cash. It's a lot of money for me that was just stolen!Desired Settlement: A Phone Call

Review: When I first started going here early 2012 I was their biggest fan. I recommended them to everyone. I bragged about how great and pain free the laser was. I even asked what it was called and they told me the alma.

After my first session of hair removal on my legs, I decided to purchase a Brazilian package. I had one more appointment where I received my second session on my legs and my first for the Brazilian. I was still bragging about this pace. Then I received the phone call a few days before my next session informing me that the alma broke. They said I could go in and have them use an older more painful laser or wait two weeks for the alma to get fixed. I opted to wait.

The weeks passed and I had to call them every two weeks for 7 months until I finally demanded a refund and they made me schedule a "refund consultation." I showed up ready to argue my case, but the gentleman I spoke with actually talked me out of it. He said that they were getting a new alma delivered in a week and that I would have unlimited sessions for life because of how much I spent there already. I was content until he told me that they were booked for the next 3 months! Nonetheless I agreed and made the appointment.

I showed up three months later and the place completely changed. I was nervous and I asked the receptionist if they got the alma back and she said she didn't know because she was new. Before I laid on the table I asked the technician if it was the alma and she didn't seem to be sure. I explained to her that the only reason I didn't get a refund is because I was promised the alma would be back. She then said "yes alma." As she was about to start I noticed the machine looked different. So I asked again and she said "yes" again. Then she zapped me and I knew for sure this was not the alma. I got upset and told her. It was at this moment that I realized there was a huge language barrier. She had no idea what I was saying.

I asked for [redacted]. They informed me that there wasn't one there and that they would have someone call me later. No one called me later. I waited two days before I called them back and they took another message, I waited another two days and called back and finally got the person in charge on the phone. I explained to her my experience and she was not helpful at all. She became nasty and said that they never give refunds. She informed me that they were under new ownership and whatever the other owners offered me doesn't matter anymore. I couldn't believe it.

I figured I wait a little while to see if they would eventually get a better laser, but instead I received an email that they closed and were relocating. That was months ago. I received 3 out of 12 sessions. And my compromise of unlimited touch up sessions instead of a refund has not been honored. This agreement was put in my chart and the gentleman even had me read it to reassure me oddly enough.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money that I spent at this establishment. I spent $458.00.

Sincerely,

Review: This place used to be in [redacted] and I purchased laser treatment on legs and under arms. They did 2 treatments and ran away with the money. I received an email on August advising that their facility is moving to [redacted]. I send many emails to locate them. Their number changed, no one is answering the email. Please help.ThanksDesired Settlement: [redacted] is too far and I would like get the refund.

Review: I originally purchased a groupon for laser services. After most services were complete, I paid for additional services for another body part for laser treatments and then another incline an additional $139 for life time treatments for one area. I showed up for a schedule appointment and was told the machine was broken. That was several months ago. In the Interim I was told they were moving to Copiague which I was not happy about as that is not convenient for me. They were supposed to contact me to reschedule an appt at the new location. I did received an email saying they will get in touch with me to reschedule and haven't heard back since. Is been several months now! This is very frustrating as I have paid for services never performed as well as additional $ for lifetime touch up treatments.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for all money paid for services never performed as well as the money I paid for lifetime touch up services. Total is approximately $500. Payments were made by cash, check and credit cards
