Mrs. [redacted] says she thinks she has more dryrot in the back. I have her walk me around to show me. All the way around the back side, Mrs [redacted] point to an 4"x 12" Outrigger. And sure enough the other one is rotted also. I get the...

estimate back from Mrs. [redacted] and add this work to the bottom as repair letter "C".I then add up all three task and have Mrs. [redacted] initial the change. I showed her the Contract Provisions on the backside of her copy. I tell Mrs. [redacted] that we could start the next day. She was happy about that. She agrees with the Estimate price and everything I explained to her. She signs the contract and gives me 10% deposit. Now I never did get on this roof because the repairs Mrs. [redacted] was asking for were all visible from the ground. And if I don't have to walk on tile than I don't. Tile is very brittle and I didn't want to cause more damage during these rainy days.My crew shows up the next day (4/7/16) to remove the gutters and prepare the edge for the new gutters. Also to bondo the three beams. Mrs. [redacted] meet my foreman thru the garage giggling and laughing. She laughed alot throughout the entire job. Mrs. [redacted] went inside and the work began. I had my crew remove the tarp to check for the leak. Come to find out, there's no overhang or gutter on this dripedge above the leak in the wall. Water may have been running in the top of the wall. We ended up adding 12" of gutter and a downpipe when the other gutters went up at NO extra cost. While working on the back slope by the chimney, my foreman smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the house. He thought that was odd but now he understood why Mrs. [redacted] was laughing and giggling so much throughout the job. To each his own. We're there to work. So he kept working. While working he noticed some cracked tile. About 50 cracked tiles. He called me to make the report of his find. I told him that she never mentioned anything about cracked tile or any other leaks. I told him to let her know about this and I'd be calling her with the "ADD-ON" cost.I called Mrs. [redacted] to notify her of the additional cost. She wasn't happy about the ADD-ON and wanted it repaired for free. I told her I couldn't repair that much for free and gave her my best price at cost. She agreed and we then started the search for matching tile.On 04/11/16 we returned to replace the cracked tile and the gutters were installed the same day Mrs. [redacted] signed the ADD-ON form when we arrived. Once my crew was done, Mrs. [redacted] walked around with my foreman and looked at the work completed. He explained that we'd be back the following Monday 04/14/16 to reinstall the first row of tile which we move for the gutter installation. We returned on Monday and reinstalled the tile. Mrs. [redacted] walked around with my foreman and looked at the entire job (gutters, dryrot, etc..) and was very pleased. She gave my foreman a cashier's check and they left.I get a call from Mrs. [redacted] a week later and she says she thinks she has a leak in another area. I tell her that i'll put her on the schedule to go check it out the next day. I call her the next day before I go over there. She answers and tells me that she's out walking and don't know when she'll be back. She explains where the possible leak is at and tells me to just go over there and look. I took a little extra time to get there hoping Mrs. [redacted] would be back and could show me where she thought she had this new leak at. She never did show up. I later notified her by phone that without removing the tile I wouldn't be able to tell what the problem was and I'd have to charge her for it. She now tells me that maybe there wasn't a leak after all. That she'll wait and keep an eye on it. I did look around at the front of the house and garage when I stopped by her house. Everything still looked good. I didn't notice any dents in the gutters anywhere. I noticed we missed priming one 3" x 6" raftertail but figured she'd have her painter touch it up when they repainted at the other raftertails..Five week latter I get a text message saying we left a dent in the gutter above the driveway. Right in the front of the house. Me and him had some small talk. He was asking about the downpipes. If he should stucco to them or could I come back and recut them. I then told him that Mrs. [redacted] was accusing us of leaving the gutter dented and if he knew anything about it. At this point Mrs. [redacted] came out and seen that me and the contractor were talking and she walked away. Back into the house. The contractor didn't want to talk about the gutter. He got real silent and acting preoccupied. I then knocked on the door inside the garage and after a long period of time Mrs. [redacted] finally came out. She asked about the downpipes also. I explained I might be able to recut the existing downpipes, since they were new, depending on how far the stucco came out. I told her she should've told me she was going to stucco and I could've installed the downpipes after but ow i'd have to charge her for this work. She wasn't happy about that. She walked over to the other contractor and tried to whisper "This isn't the guy to talk to about the downpipes".Then I told her after looking at the dent in the gutter which is in a highly traveled and visible area, that we didn't leave the job with the gutter dented. Our ladder was never in the gutter either. If she wanted, I'd try to push the dent out but it surely wouldn't make the dent disappear. Gutters don't always come back to form and I didn't want her thinking I could perform a miracle. I told her the only way to get rid of the dent is to replace it and I'd only charge our minimum charge for gutters which is $350.00. She wasn't happy about that either. I recommended that she call me back when the dowmpipes were ready to go back on the wall and I could combine the two repairs and give her a better price. She replied, "No. No thank you. We have a disagreement. I will get someone else". I replied "OK", but if she changes her mind please give me a call". "No we have a disagreement" and she walked in the house. We load up the step ladder and left. While driving on the freeway for a few miles I realized something above the gutter had caught my eye. I turn back around and pull back up to the house. Sure enough there's a dead branch right above the dent in the gutter. Looks like someone twisted the branch to brake it off because it was hanging down close to the new gutters. I'll send photos in another email. Now I don't know if someone dented the gutter when braking the branch or if it was bumped by the new contractor working at Mrs. [redacted]s house. But this dent was not there when we completed the work for Mrs. [redacted] five weeks prior or when I went back a week later or when she walked around the job with my Foreman. We were at this job site three different days. And for seven worker and/or Mrs. [redacted] not to notice this dent for five weeks is really unbelievable to me.With all this being said. I'm willing to resolve this situation. If Mrs. [redacted] is willing to withdraw her complaint to Revdex.com and to CSLB then we will be willing to replace the Front 23" of white 5" gutter at NO COST. I thank you for your time and respect your decision. Please contact me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] Sincerely,[redacted]

The skylight that was installed is the exact same skylight that Mrs. [redacted] had Bernardio roofing remove. I took a picture of the existing skylight when I was first asked to replace it. I sent the picture to Erik at Lane aire, my skylight distributor to confirm he could supply me with the exact same...

skylight. He confirmed and I gave Mrs. [redacted] an estimate to replace the skylight and do other repairs to her roof. The skylight was shipped out to Mrs. [redacted]’s home in a completely covered crate. We cut the crate open and inspected the skylight. After installing the skylight we had Mrs. [redacted] look at it. She confirmed everything looked good. The only issue she had was she wanted us to sand the wood walls where the water has stained the sides below the skylight. I told her we don’t do that type of work. When we left the house, Mrs. [redacted] was happy and expressed no other concerns. About six month later after a wet and windy weather I heard from Mrs. [redacted], during the most busiest time of the season. Mrs. [redacted] told me the skylight was scratched and had moisture between the dual pane. I told her I was about three weeks out before I could come out. When I did go out there, I couldn’t see any scratches and I told Mrs. [redacted]. But I did see a little area of condensation about the size of a silver Dollar on the shaded side of the dome. I told her that I’d check into it and get back to her. I contacted my skylight distributor and told him about the moisture between the panes. It took some time before he got back to me. Erik, the distributor sent me a brochure which states you may see condensation thru lighter colors lenses. But the moisture will drain thru the designed weep holes. The skylight doesn’t leak into the house at all.   This skylight is exactly is exactly the same as we removed. Thank you Respectfully [redacted] Bernardino

Mr. Bernardino and Bernardino Roof take each and every complaint very serious. At this time in an effort to settle this matter Mr. Bernardino said if Mrs. [redacted]  wants to install a new glass upgraded sky light that he will install it for free and Pay $500 of the cost of the Skylight. If she is willing to accept that I will find out the price of a glass skylight.  Thank you, Respectfully [redacted]
