We're happy to hear that you had a great experience with our product and installation. Thank you very much for your feedback.

LeafFilter gutter protection system was installed on my house and garage on June 17, 2019. On June 24th, I called the Customer Service number () to report several contract related issues with the installation as described below.

The standard contract for installation of LeafFilter gutter protection system specifies that leaks in existing gutters will be sealed before installation of gutter protection. In addition, contract for this job included addition of downspout extension that matches the color of existing gutters to connect gutter on second floor to gutter on first floor. The downspout extension was not installed and there is still a leak in the gutter over the back entryway.

Futher, LeafFilter gutter protection was installed on the gutters on the garage. However, the wood to which the gutters are attached is rotted and should have been replaced prior to LeafFilter installation. Since replacement of the wood was NOT included in the original contract, I am willing to negotiate with the company to pay to have this additional work performed since without this work, the gutters cannot remain aligned for proper drainage.

After over 15 calls to the LeafFilter Customer Service and talking with Manager Lou C and Technician Kevin (), I was told by Kevin that they were prepared to complete the contracted work but that the non-contract work would cost about $1,000 to $1,200 additional. I verbally accepted this estimate sometime in the mid to late November timeframe and asked that the work be done. My final phone call in an attempt to resolve these issues was on February 3, 2020.

This job is completed per the contract. Customer has rotted fascia which was not apart of our contract, she will need to have this fixed.

I had Leaf Filter installed on my property February 21, 2019. Since the day of the installation I had issues with the installation team (bent air intake vents, ladders placed directly against shingles with no roof stand off). After the system was installed I noticed that there was a significant amount of water dripping/pouring between the gutter and the fascia board, missing the gutter. I also noticed that when it snowed, the entire leaf filter system would become one long sheet of ice, creating ice dams. Either melted snow would then drip over the entire gutter, or the water would then back up onto the roof. Leaf Filter sent out a "tech" to "make adjustments". After the "adjustments" were made I noticed I had the same problem. Again Leaf Filter sent a tech out along with a sales manager and an installation manger (Louie and Rene). Again, more adjustments were made.
Now that I am fully moved into the property, on December 17, 2019 I noticed that there was still a significant amount of water dripping between the fascia board and gutter. I now have an issue with the ground settling/ dropping in that specific area.
I also noticed that the edge of the shingles are raised on portions of the house exposing the plywood and shingle underlayment. I also have shingles holding water like a pool because the lip of the Leaf Filter product is pushing the shingles up. (pictures and videos to support this).

On 01-21-2 and make necessary adjustments. I signed a release and I was credited back the entire purchase amount.

We (my wife and I) had Leaf Filter install gutter guards at our home on 10/14/19. The sales rep that came to our home assured us that all of the workers were professional employees, not contractors. He also assured us that they would use buckets to put the leaves in as they cleaned out the gutters in preparation for the install of the gutter covers. When I arrived home the afternoon of the install, I was horrified to see how they left our property, and the damage that they had caused. They knocked down a stone wall on either side of our driveway. damaged 3 large azalea bushes near the top of the driveway, and left bunches of leaves all around the house. I spent an initial three+ hours cleaning up the mess. Over the next 4-5 weeks, I made approximately 39 phone calls, many of which went unanswered by Leaf Filter managers, sent 7 emails/texts with pictures of the damage, and went to local nurseries/contractors obtaining estimates for the damage that was done. Leaf Filter managers were not at all respectful of me as a customer, one even stating "I'll decide what is significant damage." We are extremely unhappy with their services, and their lack of customer service/caring.

We are reviewing the response at corporate and will reach out to the customer.

I purchased the Leaf Filter Gutter Protection in Dec of 2013, 6 years ago. I purchased through this company because of the Lifetime Guarantee. I am a single Mother of 5 children with limited income and I wanted my purchase to protect my home and be a product I could trust. Unfortunately, Leaf Filter has not held to it's promise or had reasonable customer service. The gutters are not clogged from the inside but the material used to make the screen has clogged and thus rendered the gutters inoperable. I have called Chris C directly and spoken with the Customer Service and Warranty departments. The sad response I get back is that it's been too long since I had them installed for them to be willing to take any action to remedy my gutters. Six years into a "Lifetime Warranty" and I'm on my own. That's awful service and absolutely NO lifetime warranty, especially when I first contacted them about the issue approximately 3 years ago. They did send out a technician to assess the issue. He informed me the company has changed product because of the issue I was having, but again, mine was too old to be covered. So, before you spend thousands of dollars with this company because they have good ratings and a supposed lifetime warranty, I suggest you seek service elsewhere. This past Fall, I had the gutters pressure washed to remove all the built up mold, which supposedly can't grow on the filter and this remedied a lot of the water run off but whilst doing this I became aware of many loose screws and lifted areas at the joints along my 80' straight line gutters. So, I"m sure my next issue, apart from having to re-spray will be unclogging my uncloggable gutters. I will soon be left with the option to remove the filter protection and probably have much more functional gutters. When I contacted Leaf Filter earlier this year, they refused to return any communication and ignored my statement that I would file a Revdex.com claim if continuing to ignore me. Absent customer service and integrity.

I had a visit from a sales rep and decided to go through with both gutters and the leaffilter system. The sales rep explained how awesome and superior their product was and gave a decent price so we contracted for it to be done a few days later. I explained that the deck was weak and to please let them know to stay off. Also, my daughter works night shift and would be sleeping. When the service men came, they wore no identifying shirts, etc. as pictured on all their literature. That was ok. They rang the bell several times then started to work. What I was most annoyed by was that they left a huge mess in my yard. I have an entire (grocery size) bag of debris in my yard including nails. I have dogs and thankfully they did not step on them. They also were obviously on the deck because there was a step missing and a huge hole. I also noticed during the walk around that the longest downspout had only 1 bracket holding it on and was flimsy. I contacted the sales rep and she asked that I contact the customer service dept the same day. The customer service rep told me he would pass the information on to service manager and he would reach out to come look at the job. This was a month ago and I have yet to hear from anyone or see anyone come look at the work. I also had to clean up the mess myself. Far from the "excellent scores on *** and ***" that the sales rep, Liz reported to me. Very disappointed! I wish I had not put my credit card on file to charge immediately at the completion of the job because I should have not paid until the job was done to my satisfaction/done right.

I still believe that the service was not as stated and some of the poorest customer service follow up I've ever had; however, it is obvious they are not willing to do more. Negative reviews will be left and hopefully, this will draw attention to the problem and their services will suffer until appropriate updates to their sales and service are made.

Regards

I have recently used this company. Install in August. Gutters still leaking where my concern was. Customer service sucks. My sale rep Mike made promises and turn out lies. Every time they were to come and repair my gutters never showed up. Broke glass lawn ornaments and never cleaned them up. My dogs got cut on the glasses. I really don’t know if the job is done because I can’t climb on the roof. They got my money in full so I believe they don’t care to fix it. Left a message for a manager to contact me never heard from them. I told them I want my money back in full and they can get the junk gutters off my house. Never use this company.

LeafFilter North of Pennsylvania Response • Nov 15, 2019

Hi Diane - It's our goal to ensure every customer is completely satisfied. We will have someone follow up with your experience.

I had my leaf filters installed less than a year ago. About 8 months later, after a heavy rainstorm, one of our gutters fell OFF THE HOUSE. I called leaf filter and they sent out a tech who came and looked at my gutter. He said there was rotten wood and that's why it fell off. The wood looked fine to me so I had a licensed contractor come out who confirmed the wood was fine and noted several issues with the LF install (snipped gutter straps, sagging gutters).
The gutter fell down a second time a couple weeks later so I called LF again and they sent out a new tech who agreed there was no rotten wood and that the install was sub par. He spoke with his manager who agreed to send out a crew to completely redo the job.
About a week later (after several calls on my part), they sent out THE SAME installer. He and his helper were gone in less than 2 hours and repaired only 10% of the job (and caused damage to my roof and fascia while doing the job).
I called LF several times about this and they never returned my call. I finally (accidentally) contacted head quarters where I was told the regional manager would be informed of my issues and contact me. I have sent multiple emails and have yet to have anyone return my emails or contact me about a resolution.
In short, they did a poor job on initial install, an even poorer repair job that caused damage to my house, and have abysmal customer service.

Leaf Filter gave us a lifetime limited warranty that with this gutter protection system will it will not allow the interior of our gutter to clog and be free of debris and this hasn't occurred as we are experiencing clogs and debris also they were installed incorrectly as when it rains the water splashes all over the front door entrance instead of through the gutters.

Also I had several roof contractors confirm that these gutters were installed under the shingles instead of the correct way.

We believe resolution has been executed in full.

Had appointment scheduled for installation of leaffilter today. Prepaid $1,000 for the work. When the appointment was made I was told that I would receive a call the morning of the appointment telling me what time the installer would arrive. After not hearing from anyone by 11am I called the king of Prussia office and was told that someone would be calling me within the hour. After another 90 minutes of waiting I called back and was told by the same woman that I was an “afternoon job” and would be getting a call within an hour. After 90 more minutes I called again and asked what was going on and was told that the job numbers were mixed up and my phone number was recorded incorrectly and that someone would call me within 10-15 minutes. After 45 minutes I called a 4th time and asked for the manager and was told he would be calling me. Finally Rene the manager called me. His attitude was poor at best. He said he “doesn’t need an ear beating and wants a bottom line”. Said he’d “do me a favor and get it done Saturday”. Totally unprofessional and disgraceful.

Still have not heard from business at all. Have been waiting to talk to regional manager for over 2 months regarding the verbal abuse I took over the phone

LeafFilter North of Pennsylvania Response • Nov 19, 2019

We will have our Regional Manager reach out immediately to address the customers concerns.

I signed a contract to have 2 top story gutters and downspouts completely cleaned, sealed, and reinforced and have leaf filter gutter protection installed. In addition, the LeafFilter was to replace the rear 2nd story gutter. According to the contract, cleanup was included. An installer from a company (not LeafFilter) showed up at my door with no courtesy call to inform me of installation time. As I proceeded to explain that I had no warning that he was coming and needed a few minutes to get my dogs inside, he informed me that he did not speak English. I stepped outside to see how he expected to handle the install, and he spoke into a translation app on his phone in an attempt to communicate. He also called his boss to talk with me by phone, so, once I thought it could be a workable interaction (although frustrating), I allowed him to proceed with the installation. As the installer disconnected the old gutter from the downspout, water splashed all over him, and after he got down from the ladder (upon completion of the gutter removal), he indicated it was blocked. I was curious why he began to install the new gutter without investigating the source of the blockage in the downspout, but due to the language barrier, decided to wait to see what the process was for cleaning the downspout. When he finished installing the new gutter, I called him down from the ladder to tell him it wasn’t aligned correctly. Of course, he had no clue what I was saying, so offered the translation app. After several attempts to explain that the alignment of the gutter was uneven, he once again called his office and the person on the other end of the phone said he was sent a photo and that it was installed correctly. I said I wasn’t happy with how it looked aesthetically, but was told again that it was installed correctly. I also asked what equipment was going to be used to clean my downspouts and front gutter and was told that they remove large debris by hand and drop a screw down the downspout. If you hear it falling, then no cleaning is done. So, the $$$ that is charged for what the salesperson describes as gutter and downspout repair, complete cleaning and sealing, and installation of a gutter guard, consists of hand removal of large debris and dropping a screw down the downspout. No cleaning, no repair, no sealing is done. And the cleanup included in the contract consisted of the removal of the old gutter from my property. All the dirt and roofing grit and roofing nails that were in the old gutter remained all over my deck and patio furniture and yard. I am waiting for LeafFilter to return my call to tell me how they plan to rectify the terrible experience I had!!! Consumer beware. Please proceed with caution.

The Leaf Filters they sell really do not work. Over time debris builds up on the filter and water just pours over the roof and the gutter and onto the ground. there is water infiltration into the house. There is no point in buying them because you are back to doing routine gutter maintenance two or three times a year. The belated ex-post facto service inspections are too late and useless.

We have cancelled the pending authorization.

We were charged for new gutters cleaning and new downspouts $4547. We received the new gutters and only one new downspout the smallest one out of 6. We have been calling for months only to be told we would only be refunded $200. Refused to gives the prices for each individual item or even the cost of labor. $200 is more the fair was how it was put across when we spoke to a manager.

Leaf Filter inspected my home and installed their product on my gutters. Since installation I have had rain water flow over their product and onto my front porch near the front door in 2 areas. There is also a similar problem on the side of the house.
Leaf Filter has come to the house multiple times (a dozen or more) in response to my complaints through their customer service department. Each time the technician tries something new such as as add a splash shield, remove a splash shield, caulk, remove debris, etc. Each time the work is unsuccessful and the water continues to pour over their product and not into the gutters where it is supposed to go. During the winter I have a dangerous ice problem on the porch directly in front of the main entrance door.
I have spoken with customer service and asked for a manager several times, but no manager ever comes. I have written to their corporate customer service department and received a reply once expressing their apologies and how important each customer's satisfaction is to them. However, the problem persists essentially the same as it did upon installation after so many ineffective visits.
I believe the Leaf Filter product is not compatable with my home/roof design and that their sales person and/or installers should have known that before taking my money and providing no successful repair for almost 1 year now.

Leaf Filter made lots of promises in their sales pitch. Each Leaf Filter piece is 5 ft long. I was told there would be 5 to 6 brackets per piece. In reality they say every 18 inches however when installing they only put 3 per piece, which is every 20 inches. They pieced together scraps of Leaf Filter at the end of my gutter instead of using a full piece. They told me they used a special ladder that won't lean on the gutter but they showed up and had a ladder leaning directly on my gutters. They also said that they realign all the gutters but the tech didn't even have a level. They didn't do any realigning. The tech pulled out some my spikes on my gutters out an left without filling in the holes. Now I can get bees building nests in my gutters. When I asked the local manager to take the gutter guards off and fix my gutters he said he can't do that and they would fix them to my satisfaction. This is when the tech left with holes in my gutter and didn't bring new guards to fix where they were pieced together. Now he won't let me talk to a regional manager. He said the can't connect me to a person higher up. This company is all lies and inferior workmanship.

When it snows the Leaf Filter system creates ice dams. When the snow and ice start melting the water does not go into the gutter but drips onto the pavement in front of doorways. Yes they did some work on the gutters but I will NOT know if it fixes the problem until the next snowfall !!

On 10/30/18 LeafFilter trespassed on my property while I was not at home and began installing gutter guards that I did not want (I had previously cancelled an order for their product). In the process of their work their equipment failed which resulted in serious damage to my home that included a gutter being ripped off the house, siding ripped off and cut in several locations, roof shingles torn and window screens torn. The company promised to have the damage repaired within 24 hours. I have been contacting them regularly to get the damage fixed. They keep promising to fix the damage and they keep making appointments to come out, but they never show up. I have wasted numerous days waiting at home, but they don't come out. The damage to my house is exposing my house to more damage from water not captured by the gutter that was ripped off and from the siding ripped off (exposing the house sheathing). LeafFilter has been my worst nightmare. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

LeafFilter has not contacted me to discuss possible solutions since 11/27/18. My repairs have not been completed. The window screen that was damaged by LeafFilter, and removed to be repaired, has not been returned. LeafFilter has passed their responsibility/liability to the subcontractor they hired. The subcontractor was sent to my home when they should not have been (LeafFilter did not have permission to be on my property). The equipment the subcontractor was using, which broke and caused the damage, belonged to LeafFilter not the subcontractor. I believe the responsibility to repair my home rests with LeafFilter not the subcontractor. The subcontractor was working under the supervision of a LeafFilter trainer. The subcontractor was not even qualified to be doing the work. I’m not confident the subcontractor is qualified to make the repairs. I expect LeafFilter to take responsibility for the damage to my home and make the repairs as soon as possible. I would like to hire my own qualified contractor to complete the repairs and have LeafFilter pay for all repairs directly to the contractor of my choice.

We had our gutters installed in September, the contractor installed one downspout crooked and another in the wrong location. After contacting Leaf filter they sent out a technician that fixed the crooked downspout, but could not put the other in the location it was supposed to be in. After numerous calls to Lead filter this week someone dropped off a 14 foot gutter on the side of my home and left. They didn’t ring the bell, call or anything just dropped it off and left. Its now November 5th 2 months of having the downspout at the wrong location and nothing has been done besides someone dropping off a 14 foot gutter on the side of my home. I have tried handling this without writing a review, but there is no reason We should be still dealing with this 2 months later. If im paying almost 4 grand for gutters I expect them to be done perfectly and the right way the first time around. Stay far away from this company unless you want subpar gutters and dealing with horrible customer service for months without and solution to you issues.

Amanda,

Thank you for reaching out. I apologize for this inconvenience and I assure you we are working on getting this taken care of. A manager should be in touch with you to further discuss! Thank you so much for your patience!

My gutters were not aligned properly and were full of dirt and mud. LeafFilter agreed to clean out, seal, repair, re-align the gutters, install hidden brackets for support, then install the LeafFilter system. At the time of the contract I requested downspout extensions from the upper level of the house to the middle level of the house and to have new brackets installed on all the downspouts.

Day1. Installer was scheduled for Oct 5, 2018 - I was not present. He installed the leaf filter protection system. I went to check his work. The gutters were not sealed, they continued to leak. The gutters were not re-aligned as several had standing water. The brackets were not installed on the downspouts. The downspout extensions were not installed from the upper level to the middle level. I went on the roof and found a section of shingles ripped off. I called the installer and was told "I’m sorry, I’ll come tomorrow and do it OK. I did not have with me, Tomorrow I will come and deliver. OK" referring to missing installs. I contacted the sales rep and Leaffilter, via phone and online contact form. I was informed by the sales rep that that a new crew would come out and fix the issues.

Day 2. Oct 6, 2018 - I was home. Brackets were installed on 2 downspouts, not all. The shingles were repaired. I was told that he seal all the corners. I grab a hose and tested the gutter above the back garage, Water poured from the corner. He took the leaf filter covers off and said there is standing water. He then cleaned the gutter and re-aligned that one. He sealed the corner. A downspout ext was installed from the middle level to the garage, wrong location. it rained overnight and all the corners leaked. I filed another complaint. Never received a response.

Day 3, Oct 9, 2018: The same guy came back unscheduled. I was not informed he was coming. He went on the roof and put more silicone in the gutters. Asked about extensions and standing water. was told he can't fix it. I tried to get more details but he left.
