I apologize for the delayed response, after reading this complain I needed to get to the bottom of this on my end to properly responseIt took me a few days to find our who Mr [redacted] was working with and find out why we weren't able to accommodate himFirst and foremost, the prices we have online are valid and anyone who "locks in" is guaranteed to receive that priceUnfortunately there are a few stipulations that are clearly listed underneath on our disclaimer that state "Pricing includes all rebates and incentives availableMay require financing through Ford Motor Credit and as such are subject to lender approvalSpecial Finance rates offered from FMCC for buyers with approved credit are in lieu of applicable customer cash rebates." That statement is made on every one of our listings because we advertise the lowest possible price, however if a customer chooses to go with the factory special APR the customer cash rebates must be added back in to the priceFrom what I'm told, this was confusing to Mr [redacted] and he was upsetNot only did he want our lowest possible advertised price, he wanted further discounts and special financingNow it's no secret we want to sell him a car more than he wants to buy one, but putting our best price online up front leaves no room for negotiationI do sincerely apologize that he and his family did not have a favorable experience with my staffIf there is any other information you wish me to provide please let me know and I will do so in a timely mannerThank you for your time, have a great day Michael V [redacted] General Manager Leckner Ford

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not accept the offer of this businessIts a scam to get customers in and to have them in confusion until they get to the dealership to find out that this was all way different then the way its advertisedI was told in the response that the customer gets the locked in price when they get here, where as I did not even after I repeatedly told them that I locked in the price online and that is why I drove all the way thereThe way its all advertised is a way to fish people in and leave them hanging until they get thereThey know they do this because even before they showed me the cars they wanted to talk pricesNo one talks about prices on cars even until they are driven and decide on the one they wantThe gentlemen that was helping me even told me people sometimes have dropped jaws just when they see the prices of the cars but thats usually never the price they get Regards, [redacted]

January 20, 2016To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in response to the complaint filed by Mr [redacted] , case number [redacted] In early December Mr [redacted] contacted our dealership with intent to purchase a new vehicleWe had the vehicle he wanted in stock, a [redacted] (Vin # [redacted] ) and agreed to come in person to purchase itAt this time we gave him a value on his trade, an estimate on what the taxes and fees would be for the state of New Jersey where he lives, and payment optionsThe numbers were agreeable to both parties and we assisted Mr [redacted] with financing the vehicleAt this time we rolled in $1,in to the amount finance by [redacted] to cover his taxes and feesOnce the paperwork was given to our tag and title department they sent the information to [redacted] , a 3rd party company that we use to get various tax and fees required for our out of state customers They responded with a quote of $2,to complete this transaction (See [redacted] )We noticed they had a charge of $for registration fee, which did not apply to Mr [redacted] since he was transferring his tags from his trade in, it should only have been around $or less That left a remaining balance $that was owed to the Middlesex County Motor Vehicle CommissionOur Sales Manager Phil B [redacted] called Mr [redacted] and explained that the initial estimate provided was not enough to cover the total fees owed and Mr [redacted] agreed to pay the differenceWe then collected that amount via credit card payment and sent the money to New Jersey DMV (See [redacted] ).A few days later Mr [redacted] was called in to the DMV to complete the process and they told him we did not send enough moneyThey said he still owed an additional $that we did not send inRightfully so, Mr [redacted] contacted our accounting department very frustratedHe proceeded to swear and curse at our Office Manager, [redacted] She requested that he stop screaming at her so she could figure things out and he refusedShe then told him if he continued to yell vulgar obscenities at her that she would hang up the phoneHe continued and she hung up on himAt this point the entire situation was brought to my attention and I reached out to Mr [redacted] personallyI apologized for the frustration and offered to refund him the $that we were unaware ofThis was not sufficient for Mr [redacted] and he began to scream and swear at meHe informed me that if I didn’t refund him $1,that he would “ruin my career” by contacting the Revdex.com and Attorney General’s officeI made a final attempt to make things right and offered to reimburse him half of the $that we didn’t collect the first timeIn a very disrespectful manor he declined and hung up on meThat was the last contact I had with Mr [redacted] I attempted to call him back the next day thinking he may have cooled off and we could come to an agreement but he did not return my callIn closing, I do not feel we are liable to pay Mr [redacted] the money that was rightfully owed to the State of New Jersey simply because he is frustrated with the processIt clearly states in section on the reverse side of the purchase order that he signed in person, “the Purchaser assumes and agrees to pay any and all such taxes, and any and all other taxes except income taxes, imposed on or incidental to the transaction covered by this order, regardless of who may have the primary tax liability.” In addition, Mr [redacted] did not pay the money he is requesting in full to usOut of the $1,that he is requesting, he only provided $and the remaining amount was financed by [redacted] FinancialIf you need any additional information I cn be reached anytime, days a week at the numbers belowThank you for your time[redacted]

Ms [redacted] , Leckner Ford did not provide us with an extended License plate when we notified them in a timely manner that the Temp Tags were expiring(days before they expired) per MrW [redacted] 's promise/agreement to send them if we had not received our State vehicle license plate They [redacted] tried to exthort money from us by saying that the only way they would send extended temp tags is if we took out a loan, paid via check or give them our credit card number for their mistake in figuringWe specifically asked them if there would any problem with the taxes before we signed the papers and and MrDon W [redacted] and Joe H [redacted] said no Leckner Ford has now put it on us to get license plates on our own when we have no idea how or what to do This is a very awkward and unfortunate situation that needs resolutionWe would like the following: 01) Have Leckner Ford fulfill their promise to send us an extended Temporary License plate because we contacted them in plenty of time for them to extend them (contrary to what they said) 02) Pay at least half of the $for the mistake that they made 03) Have Don W [redacted] apologize for all the confusion and problems he caused 04) We need them to help us get License plates for our vehicle (we do not know how this is done because other dealerships do this for us) In all my years of purchasing vehicles, I have never had a dealership do this I have bought vehicle in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia and never before been don this way We need help resolving thisThank you, [redacted]

Called business spoke with John RHe stat that the tags were issued through [redacted] and signed for on March 10thThe lease grounded weeks prior to the tags going outThey set up the loan with the loan company after that Ms [redacted] is responsible to contact Ford Motor Company Loan department for any adjustments or payments that need to be made

Mrs***, Mr*** is correct, we are capable of selling vehicles to customers out of state, as well as complete the tag and title process as a courtesyWe did give him an estimated cost associated with registering his vehicle in West Virginia of $1,which is subject to
change based on the fees associated with his county and/or stateIt clearly states in the paperwork he signed that the fees collected are an estimate and are subject to change at his expenseAfter the purchase we sent the documentation to WV DMV and they informed us that the total to register where he lives is $1,We reached out immediately to Mr*** to let him know of the additional fees required by his stateHe refused to pay them, which unfortunately holds up our tag and title department from completing his registrationOnce his temporary tags expired he called us wanting a new set, our Finance Manager Don W*** informed him that we would not be able to issue him a 2nd set until he payed in full his tax and fees, again he refusedThe taxes and fees associated with his state have nothing to do with our company, the price of the vehicle, or our documentation feeIf he would like, we can title the vehicle as required by law and refund him the money we collected for registration and he can complete this process on his own at his local DMVUltimately, we had a good experience dealing with Mr*** and wish to maintain a good business relationship with himIf there is any other information I can provide, or if he would prefer me to send the refund as referenced above, I will be happy to do soI can be reached day or night at any of the numbers belowThank you for your time, have a great day. I am honestly shocked to come back to work after being on vacation and see thisI personally helped Ms*** the day before I left by trying to go above and beyond and having a driver deliver her vehicle to apologize for the dead inspection sticker, which was obviously a mistake on our part
She couldn’t reach me to discuss her frustration with the fuel and EZ pass the next day because I was out on vacationI received the messages today when I came inWith that being said, I have no problem reimbursing for the tolls used to deliver her vehicle, as well as paying for a partial or even a full tank of gas if this results in a satisfactory outcomePlease keep in mind that the distance between our dealership and where we delivered the vehicle free of charge was less than ** miles, just barely over gallon of gasThe tank was obviously low/empty when brought to usPlease send me a receipt for the toll used and I will send that along with a gift card for fuelAs for the rewards program, it is not a refundable packageThank you for your time, if you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask-Mike V***

I only have ONE key and was promised and paid for a remote keyless entry and have not received to this day 10-16-

I personally spoke to Mrs. [redacted] yesterday. This is a very simple situation to resolve and I informed her we could get it done at her convenience. During the initial purchase a 2nd key was promised since the vehicle only came with one. That promise was put on a "We Owe" statement and given to...

the customer. Unfortunately she misplaced that paper and wasn't aware all she needed to do from that point was schedule a service appointment to have the key programmed. I believe after our conversation yesterday she is aware of the process and is planning on coming by Saturday to have her key programmed. If you need anything else please give me a call. Thanks!

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not accept the offer of this business. Its a scam to get customers in and to have them in confusion until they get to the dealership to find out that this was all way different then the way its advertised. I was told in the response that the customer gets the locked in price when they get here, where as I did not even after I repeatedly told them that I locked in the price online and that is why I drove all the way there. The way its all advertised is a way to fish people in and leave them hanging until they get there. They know they do this because even before they showed me the cars they wanted to talk prices. No one talks about prices on cars even until they are driven and decide on the one they want. The gentlemen that was helping me even told me people sometimes have dropped jaws just when they see the prices of the cars but thats usually never the price they get.

Called business spoke with John R. He stat that the tags were issued through [redacted] and signed for on March 10th. The lease grounded 2 weeks prior to the tags going out. They set up the loan with the loan company after that Ms. [redacted] is responsible to contact Ford Motor Company Loan department for...

any adjustments or payments that need to be made.

Ms. [redacted], Leckner Ford did not provide us with an extended License plate when we notified them in a timely manner that the Temp Tags were expiring(5 days before they expired) per Mr. W[redacted]'s promise/agreement to send them if we had not received our State vehicle license plate.  They [redacted] tried to exthort money from us by saying that the only way they would send extended temp tags is if we took out a loan, paid via check or give them our credit card number for their mistake in figuring. We specifically asked them if there would any problem with the taxes before we signed the papers and and Mr. Don W[redacted] and Joe H[redacted] said no.   Leckner Ford has now put it on us to get license plates on our own when we have no idea how or what to do.  This is a very awkward and unfortunate situation that needs resolution. We would like the following:01) Have Leckner Ford fulfill their promise to send us an extended Temporary License plate because we contacted them in plenty of time for them to extend them (contrary to what they said)02) Pay at least half of the $455.75 for the mistake that they made 03) Have Don W[redacted] apologize for all the confusion and problems he caused04) We need them to help us get License plates for our vehicle  (we do not know how this is done because other dealerships do this for us)In all my years of purchasing vehicles, I have never had a dealership do this.  I have bought vehicle in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia and never before been don this way.  We need help resolving this.Thank you,[redacted]

Regards,
[redacted]1. This complaint would not have been filed had at any time I had been told that you were not in the office.  Each and every time I called, Beverly told me that you would return my call.  I waited 48 hours from the time of my first call to file the complaint.2. We NEVER allow our cars to go below 1/4 tank of gas.3. This was THEFT to use our EZpass. The amount spent was negligible -under $*.  But NO ONE FROM YOUR COMPANY HAD OUR PERMISSION TO USE OUR PASS.4. I will write a statement stating that we will not use the balance of the program but will not accept anything less than refund of the monies paid.5. AGAIN - if at any time, you returned a phone call without being threatened, this complaint would not have been filed.

I apologize for the delayed response, after reading this complain I needed to get to the bottom of this on my end to properly response. It took me a few days to find our who Mr. [redacted] was working with and find out why we weren't able to accommodate him. First and foremost, the prices we have online...

are valid and anyone who "locks in" is guaranteed to receive that price. Unfortunately there are a few stipulations that are clearly listed underneath on our disclaimer that state "Pricing includes all rebates and incentives available. May require financing through Ford Motor Credit and as such are subject to lender approval. Special Finance rates offered from FMCC for buyers with approved credit are in lieu of applicable customer cash rebates." That statement is made on every one of our listings because we advertise the lowest possible price, however if a customer chooses to go with the factory special APR the customer cash rebates must be added back in to the price. From what I'm told, this was confusing to Mr. [redacted] and he was upset. Not only did he want our lowest possible advertised price, he wanted further discounts and special financing. Now it's no secret we want to sell him a car more than he wants to buy one, but putting our best price online up front leaves no room for negotiation. I do sincerely apologize that he and his family did not have a favorable experience with my staff. If there is any other information you wish me to provide please let me know and I will do so in a timely manner. Thank you for your time, have a great day. Michael V[redacted]General ManagerLeckner Ford
