Review: We too have paid large amounts of money to receive a mortgage modification and have received nothing for a year plus in return. The company employees keep changing their names and numbers and avoid communication. We need all other complainers with the same results to contact the Federal Trade Commission of California 877-382-4357 and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau 855-411-2372 This company has ripped off enough people and needs to be stop and pay restitution to all of us. If we all work together we should be able to file a class a law suit against them.I couldn't believe it when I saw how many of the same complaints. Something needs to be done Help!!Desired Settlement: Refund the money we all have paid and received no service.

Review: Legal Aid promised to work with my mortgage loan with my bank to lower my interest rate, and reduction or eliminate my 2nd. mortgage. In doing so they would provide a HARP Program or Loan Modification.

To start this services they requested $3,700 hundred dollars, in which I paid in good faith, and they guaranteed to have results. I sent in all documents they requested. The process started on 7/14/2014. In the begining they communicated with me weekly, either by phone or e-mail. Starting in November they have not returned any of my e-mails and the phone number has been disconnected.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund returned. They have not provided any of the services mention aboved. I have e-mail asking for a refund with no ansew.

Review: After Legal Aid Services qualified me for the Loan Modification Program option back on December 2012 and charged me the amount of $3,500 in closing cost at front to move forward with my loan modification process and assured me that the loan process will no more than three months. I did send to them a cashier check for the amount of $3,500 to secure the process as Legal Aid Services requested. However after a year, Legal Aid Services have not complying with the three month time frame establish from the begging to help me and of course not complying at all with the Loan Modification as they offered to me back on December 2012.Desired Settlement: Because of the situation mentioned above and the unfulfilled promise from Legal Aid Services to me; I am requesting this services company the entire refund on the amount of $3,500 charged for the loan modification program service that was promised to me back on December 2012

Review: I hired this company to restructure/refinance my home loan. I was promised to be contacted every 15 days and that the completion of this service would occur within 90-120 days of payment and info received (which was at the end of july 2014). I payed them almost 4000 dollars and when I have tried to find a status on my loan, I can only get a voice recorder that is full, and as I have tried multiple times to email... not once have I received a response. I borrowed money from family to get this done.Desired Settlement: finish the process and discuss what is going on with me. If it's not complete soon, I'd appreciate the refund and I'll have to short sale the home.

Review: tryig to get help with keeping my home. I paid them with check and I was frauded never received any services and my check was cashed because I have check no. and prove they cashed my check.the check was 4,400.00 paid to them. I need help because I am in foreclosure and I am medically disable.Desired Settlement: I want my whole amount because they did nouthing for me but take my money and took advantage of me. my home is in foreclosure at the present. Review: My wife and I started a loan modification process with this company in March of 2014 and was told the process should only take 3 - 4 months. Between March and May, I paid them $6,200.00 to perform this service and submitted the required paperwork. Since that time I was told to re-submit certain paperwork, which I did, and did not hear anything for months. Overall, I submitted the same paperwork three (3) times and have not heard back form them despite my phone calls and emails. I last heard from this company in October 2014. I have emailed and called countless number of times with no response.Desired Settlement: Since the company did not do what was promised, I would like for them to refund my $6,200.00.

Review: I hired this company to do my loan modification. they gave advises like not to pay my mortgage and stuff. they requested feq papers to be sent to them claiming that they need

those papers so they can go ahead with the loan midification process. every month they will calla nd email me regarding papers that they needed for the process to run only for me to learn later that they never submit any papers requested nor they ever open any loan modification request from my lender. they waited when I was already in deep [redacted] and when the bank offered me a modification they said that it was their work. I have talked to my lender and they said that there was no third party that was doing the loan modification for me. They had asked me to do the loan modification myself so that maybe itll go lower because as stated before this company did not do anything but rather only ask payment from me. I also learned that legally,they are not suppose to ask money upfront for this kind of process but this company ask me to pay about $4000.00 for nothing. I wish to be refunded for that money since they didnt do any work.Desired Settlement: refunded... my credit is ruined because of this people.they are a scam and only wanted money but dont do the job they are suppose todo

Review: I have been going back and forth for more than a year with this company ,they were supposed to be negotiating with my mortgage company for the hamp program and now it s been a couple of weeks I can not get any contact with them either threw e mail or phone and of course they charged us [redacted] to do our negotiating . I hope you can do something for us. thank you .Desired Settlement: breach of contract means a refund!!!!!!!!!

Review: Company collected money ($[redacted]) from me upfront for a Loan Modification to reduce my interest rate on my current mortgage, which I later found out is illegal to do so. Also the company asked me to open a different checking account and deposit a maximum of $[redacted] per month in that account so they could show the mortgage company our income was worse that it truly was. We told them that we could only withdraw a maximum amount out of our current Credit Union bank of $[redacted]/month. They instructed us to withdraw the max from our current bank and deposit it and withdraw it until it equaled the $[redacted] in the new account. The money did not need to stay in there it just needed to show the deposit and withdraws from that account. We told them that doing something was highly suspect and we could not do that. Since then I have contacted them numerous times with no response. [redacted] is the Attorney at Law connected with the company [redacted]. I have contacted him several times with no action. Each time he is concerned with my situation and promises to take care of it but it is never done. I have requested my money returned and he agreed. On 10/17 I was contacted by [redacted] and again had no information or knowledge of my complaints or concerns or request for my money returned. [redacted] who was acting per [redacted] direction and who I spoke with [redacted] had no knowledge of anyone that worked at that company with that name. I requested with her to return my money in full. She then tried to trick me in saying I only wanted half of my money back. I informed her I wanted the full amount. She said there was a form she would send out and it would be mailed on 10/20 that I need to fill out and it would be a minimum of 120 days before the money could be returned. We are now 2 months behind on our mort. and 2 months behind with our property taxes as they collected up front 2 mo of mort. payments because of Legal Aid ServiceDesired Settlement: My money returned in full as there was no service provided

Review: I have contracted with Legal Aid Services to help assist in my HARP loan. I have been with them since October and have been paying in a substantial amount of money have recieved no contact fromt he Servicing bank that I requrested to settle my debt. They are no longer answering the phones and will not send me the paperwork requested. I would like a full refund of all money paid to them and [redacted] Consulting.Desired Settlement: Full reimbursement of all money paid to them.

Review: Cannot give a good telephone number to contact this company. I live in Arizona an unable to call them, the recording said that they do not accept call outside the area meaning California. I ask them in the being if they are able to take my case since I live in Arizona and they said Yes!. They also do not keep me inform about my case at all. They don't answer emails either.Desired Settlement: I need to be informed of my case and I need a telephone number to be able to reach them. If they do not complete the contact than I want a full refund of $3780.00

Review: Was given a sale pitch to help to attain a mortgage loan modification on my home for a service fee of $3500.00 back in December 2012 and was told it would take two months to complete. This firm was given authorization to represent me as a third party for submitting required documents requested by my mortgage bank. This process has taken over year now up until last week when I was told by the bank the modification request was denied. The denial we believe was partly due to the late submittal of requested documents given by me to Legal Aid Services to be submitted to the Bank in a timely manner was not done properly as I was told at the start of this process would be done. I would call Legal Aid to complain about their service and it would take 2 to 3 days to speak to someone or to get a call back. Therefore, my complaint is I feel that I did not get the service I was told I was paying for as advertised by Legal Aid Services to represent me for a mortgage loan modification.Desired Settlement: A partial refund of the money I paid for their service which I believe I did not receive from them to represent me.

Review: We paid over $6,000 into this organization as we were struggling with overly high mortgage payments due to a bad loan.

We were told they would work with our mortgage company to refinance. We have 2 mortgages - a first and second - a fact that Legal Aid Services was aware of from day one -provable by documentation. On the first mortgage - it took Legal Aid Services many months and we had to constantly hound them and we were never given a direct email, direct contact or direct line for anyone despite many requests.

As for the second mortgage, we were unaware that absolutely nothing was ever done about our 2nd mortgage until we received a collection letter from a collection agency for the full amount of the loan threatening to foreclose on our home.

Since then, we have struggled for A FULL YEAR to get Legal Aid Services to hold up their end of what we paid for and get the mortgage company to work something out with us on our 2nd loan. As a result, our credit is completely shot as are our hopes for moving to a new home. They have changed their phone number multiple times. We've never received anything from them in writing - despite many requests. You can never get anyone by phone and when you email documents as per their request - you have to resend many times and kill yourself trying to confirm receipt.

We have made our complaints known both verbally and in writing over the last 2 years to [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted].Desired Settlement: Either get our loan modified - should have combined both loans into one arrangement from inception or

refund our money in full.
