Review: I went to Liberty Tax on Jan [redacted] 2015. A friend told me they were giving $50 to people. When I went they had me fill out a form and sign it. I asked the girl if I had to file my taxes there and she said NO. Now I'm trying to do my taxes and Liberty has a hold on it to where I have to amend my taxes. I don't know what they sent because I didn't have my w2's and they never asked any questions.. etc, married, kids income. So I figured it was all legit. So I called and spoke to a [redacted], He explained they were training new tax prepares and he remembered that day because alot of people from Far Rockaway came in, He said he will amend my taxes for free, but What did they send to IRS if I had no w2s and they didn't ask me any questions? This was a scam I belive and I want my taxes unblocked.Desired Settlement: Want my taxes unblocked

Review: I was walking by liberty tax,when they ask me to come inside,they said I Will get fifty dollars right on the spot if I let them do a tax return on me,so I let them do itgot the fifty dollars and left.come to find out they did a state and federal on me, ok I kept calling them asking them when will I getting my refund of 426.00 they kept saying next week or so, ok I call back and he said that the 426.00 from the federal is their fee for doing my taxes I said what how can that behow could you profit off of me like that,I did not know that you charge such amountDesired Settlement: I want my tax check of 426.00 return back to me asap,stop robbing the poor

The customer came in to our office during a time of year when we run a promotion that allows you to receive $50 Cash on the spot for doing your taxes with us. He received that compensation and his taxes were filed. We charge our service fee based on the forms that are used to file the return. If the customer's refund amount was higher, he would have gotten more money back, however, that was not the case based on his income at the time of filing.

Review: I took a tuition free tax course with Liberty Tax Services on Oct.**-Dec. **, 2013. I was required only to pay for books, which cost me $150.00. I completed the class, passed the final exam(was notified I passed via phone conversation with class instructor, [redacted]) passed an on line competency test and was told I would be hired. After some time when I didn't hear from Liberty Tax Services, I made inquiries at several local Liberty Offices and I was given the run around. Review: We Paid Liberty Tax Services over $200.00 to file our taxes back in April of this year.Liberty Tax Services never filed our taxes and refuse to return any of our phone calls.We are now getting nasty letters from the IRS stating that we never filed a return and That we owe the federal government more than a thousand dollars. We were supposed toReceive a refund of more than a thousand dollars. My numerous attempts to contact them and their corporate headquarters have gone unanswered.I have a list of dates, times that I have attempted to contact them. On the few occasionsThat I actually spoke with someone, was promised a return call within 24 hours.I never got a call. Review: My 70 year old mother had her taxes prepared at Liberty Tax Services, Located at [redacted] in Norwalk, CT. They finally called her today, 4/8/14 after having her paperwork for over a week and charged her $506.00. Seems a bit outrageous to me since nothing changed since last year, and most likely they just modified/updated what was already in their system. When I called to complain about how much they charged her, their excuse was well, we charged her $400.00 last year. This just doesnt seem right. I feel as though she was taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: For Revdex.com information but would be nice if they took $100.00 off.

Review: I have used this tax service with the same tax preparer for both 2012 and 2013. Early 2014 I received a notice from the IRS explaining that I owed them money for 2012. I called the IRS and was explained that my taxes were not filed correctly as one of my W2s had not been filed. I then called Liberty Tax and spoke with the owner and my tax preparer [redacted] and he proceeded to tell me to come in with the letter and he would take care of it. I did so and a few months went by and I received a second letter from the IRS. I called the IRS back and they explained that they never received any response from anyone except that previous phone call from me. I then went back to [redacted] with the second letter he had me resign paperwork and told me he would mail them out instead of faxing them this time around. On 11/13/14 I tried calling [redacted] again but to no available I sent him a text. I included a picture of the $817.40 bill that is accruing interest with a $120 added fee to make a payment arrangment with the IRS. I asked for copies of all my taxes prepared from his offices for both years 2012 and 2013. I also asked for a refund for the year 2012 for the tax year the mistake was filed in and including the interest and fees added by the IRS. I asked for this based on the Liberty Tax guarantee and policy which I also included for him in the text. He replied with yes that he agreed. I waited 30 days and no response from [redacted] or his office. I have gone to both his offices have called and left messages also sent text messages again. No response. I have called his corporate office on 12/23/14 and 12/30/14 which they have tried to get a hold of [redacted] and his office and no available. They have given me a reference number for [redacted]. I called his offices again today and left a message again as well.

I would like a refund for the amount I was charged to file my taxes for 2012 with all interest and fees added by the IRS based on returns are backed by the Liberty Tax promise friendly, accurate, and with a money-back guarantee.

Review: I filed my taxes with Liberty Tax Service in February. The lady missed one of my W-2's and did not include it in the return. I did not realize it until I went back in March to pick up my paperwork. I noticed a W-2 missing. Since I could not prove that she or I missed it I had to file an ammended return. Which, they charged me $88 for! They gave me the paperwork to mail to the IRS, which was on March 27th. The IRS returned it in May stating that they needed more information and that there's a particular form thry needed to be include. I went back to Liberty Tax Service several times, but no one is ever there. The sign states that they are open on Wednesdays and other days are by appointments only. I took time off of work to make sure I would catch someone there, but no one ever showed up! I've called MANY times and left several messages. I even left a note with the store next door. I tried to make an appointment online but the link doesn't work! At this point, I just want my money back! They will never get my business ever again! I don't even know what to do about this tax issue...
