Review: I purchased my vehicle on 8/*/13 from this business and my fees were included in my contract for registration, inspection ,and title. I was issued a temporary registration sticker with an expiration date of 9/**/13, which I was told that the permanent sticker would be in the mail by then. On 9/**/13 at 3 pm I received a call from Long Island City that I need to come in and reinspect my car as DMV is requiring this before they issue my registration. My concern is......why didn't they contact me before the due date? I am sure they were notified before the [redacted] which is 6 weeks after purchase. Being out of town, I had to cut my trip short so I do not accumulate tickets. I am still unable to get any answers why I was not notified before a day before the expiration date.Desired Settlement: I need Long Island City to pay for any traffic tickets (if any) that I acquire between now and Wednesady (9/**/13). This is the earliest date I can do the inspection so DMV can issue the registration. As of this complaint, I did not receive any tickets. I had to cut my trip short in order to go in to the dealer for this inspection.

Review: I came in to this dealership with a promotion for a $59/month Elantra lease. No one seemed to know where the promotion came from, even though it's prominently displayed on the dealership's home page. After maybe an hour and a half, it was determined that this either expired, I wasn't eligible for it, or the car it applied to was no longer in stock. I was then told the best that could be done was $159/month on a cheaper car, the Accent. I also needed to put down $2500 + [redacted] fees, which the ad hadn't specified in the fine print either. The ad specifically said "Due at signing: Taxes, 1st payment, bank fee, & [redacted]." I mentioned this multiple times and showed the ad directly to the salesperson, and was brushed off each time.

After consideration, I decided to move forward anyways and signed a buy order for the lease. Then I was sent into the finance manager's office to complete the agreement, and was told a completely different number (it was like $234/month) with some kind of lease insurance. At this point I felt like I was being played, and wanted to walk out, but I was directly told that the document I already signed had obligated me by law to sign the lease. This also may have been a lie. The insurance wasn't necessary but highly recommended. They lowered it down to $216 a month. I asked if this could be cancelled if it proved to be outside my budget, as these numbers were all vastly different than I had anticipated. I was told it could be taken off later if necessary. It was at this point 11:00pm, I hadn't eaten, and honestly I would've done anything to get out of the place (and I wanted the car) so I agreed.

Now it's a week later, I've just called in to cancel the tire insurance and I've been told that it's non cancellable. When I challenged this and told the finance manager that he'd told me last week it could be removed, I was told that he simply never said that. There's a not-so-fine line between sales tactics and directly lying to your customers, and I believe this dealership has engaged (and potentially is engaging) in the latter.Desired Settlement: Frankly, I want to bring this car back and never deal with this place again. The lease is only 7 days old and the odometer has barely moved on the car. Barring that, I'd like for them to honor their own word and let me cancel the tire doctor insurance on the car, as it turns out I will have a much more difficult time affording it than I thought. I'm going to need to consider legal action otherwise.

They should also remove invalid promotions from their webpages, they are the exact definition of a bait-and-switch.

Review: I purchased a 2013 Used Sonata Hybrid. I was told that 10 or so exterior scratches would be fixed and no longer visible. They were not fixed and are all still visible. I was told I'd get a paint pen with the manufacturer's matching paint that did not happen. I was told I'd get a 2nd key for the vehicle. That did not happen either, even though I asked for it several times.

I was sold an extended warranty at the dealership. I was not told that it would be a third party contract and that the would be a $100 deductible per incident.Desired Settlement: As to the exterior scratches, I would want to take the car to a body shop to have them fixed at Hyundai's expense..

I'd like a 2nd key

I'd like a paint pen with the matching factory paint.

I'd like either a full refund of the extended warranty amount I paid or an extended warranty through Hyundai usable at any Hyundai service center of 48,000/5 years with no deductible

Still unresolved are1) Did LIC Hyundai cancel and issue refund for extended warranty, as per my request? Please provide documentation2) Carlos was supposed to confirm that I still have remainder of original manufacturer's warranty3) [redacted] was supposed to have a duplicate key made for me4) [redacted] was supposed to give me a black paint pen (same color as my 2013 Sonata)

Review: On July **, 2013 we purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The car had bodywork done that was not disclosed to us. We were told that the car had no accidents. The Sirius radio was never connected until a month after when we had to call to connect it ourselves. The car was said to have been cleaned and detailed but it was very dirty inside and we were told we would have to pay extra to clean the inside and buff out some scratches around the car. In addition, we were overcharged for the vehicle after we negotiated a price of $13,000. We were sold the car for $13,595. They said that the $595 was a dealer fee; however, this dealer fee is not stated anywhere on the contract and was never mentioned to us. After we contacted the dealer about these issues they kept giving us a run around and never responded to us since. This extra $595 then resulted in extra sales tax and interest charges. Our experience was rushed and did not leave us happy afterwards.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the total amount we were overcharged and at least compensated for the other issues.

Review: ON 12/** I ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE A BILLING ISSUE AT LIC HYUNDAI. I RECEIVED A CHARGE FOR 1,342 FOR WEAR AND TEAR AND EARLY LEASE TERMINATION. I RETURNED MY 2013 ELANTRA FOR A 2015 HUYANDAI SONATA SPORT 2.Ot. ON 09/** I WENT TO INQUIRE ABOUT FINANCING THE 2013 VEHICLE BUT I ENDED UP LEASING THE 2015 HYUNDAI. I WAS INFORMED BY THE SALESMEN THAT HE AND THE MANAGER LOOKED AT THE WEAR AND TEAR AND DETERMINED IT WAS OK. HE STATED ALLOF THE CHARGES WILL BE COVERED INCLUDING WEAR AND TEAR. ON 12/** I RECEIVED THE BILL. I EMAILED AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BUT NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I GOT THE RUN AROUND FOR A FEW DAYS. ON 12/** I SPOKE TO A MANAGER WHO GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND, HE HAD ME WAIT 2 HOURS TO THAN TELL ME THE "DECISION MAKER" IS ON HIS WAY. I RETURNED THE SAME DAY IN THE EVENING, THE "DECISION MAKER" IS STILL NOT THERE. THE MANAGER THAN STATED HE IS NEW AND HE COULDN'T FIND MY "FOLDER" TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS AGREED UPON. OVERALL, THE SALESMAN MISLEAD ME TO LEASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. THEY STATED I NEVER RETURNED THE SECOND KEY WHICH I DID. THIS DEALERSHIP CONDUCTS BUSINESS THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE FOR THE BALANCE TO BE CLEARED.

Review: I purchased a new vehicle from Hyundai Of Long Island City which is located at [redacted] and [redacted], On the [redacted] of April 2015 I worked with Jay R[redacted] and the finance manager was Brandon M[redacted]. I have had my new 2016 Hyundai Elantra about 2 months now. I have finally gotten an opportunity to review my contract, upon careful review I noticed I was sold extra coverage for my vehicle in which I do not need (Hyundai Protect Warranty) for the amount of $2500 and (Hyundai Protect PPM) for the amount of $1200.00 .

I have reached out to Hyundai several times leaving messages for the finance department to no avail or resolution. I even spoke to a woman by the name of Christy who said I should fax over letter requesting the cancellation in writing. I followed her request and sent these letters on the [redacted] of June 2015. I have yet to receive any response from this dealership. I called about 2 days later on the [redacted] of June to verify they had received the information only to be told by Christy she does not deal with cancellations, I was then transferred to a voicemail for a Finance manager who I left a message for which was never returned.

It is now July *, 2015 I called to give the company another opportunity to address this issue and see if it can be resolved They kept me on hold for over 20 minutes to try and locate a manager, now I understand as an automotive company they will be busy, But I believe this was used as a tactic to get me to hang up.Desired Settlement: I would like to have these warranties canceled and this amount of approx. $3700 refunded to me. I look forward to hearing from you and getting this resolved. Thank you for your time and consideration.
