Happy until we realized customer support is unreachable
We were happy with LightStream's rate (1.99% for year), the ease of the online application, same-day approval, and online signing process; however, when we received a lower offer from a credit union and attempted to take advantage of LightStream's offer to beat a competing offer by .1%, we discovered LightStream is very difficult to contact
We have sent a message via their website and called their customer service numberWe have received no response to our written communication and the customer service line had a hold time of minutes and then went to voicemailFrustrating experience

We looked into the events that occurred and our system shows that you spoke with a loan support representative on 12/16/15 at 1:09 PM and again later that same day at 1:45 PM. The representative noted your feedback and your application was sent to our credit team for review. The credit analyst assigned to your application reviewed it immediately and sent you an email request for verification documentation at 1:48 PM. The verification request was sent from the email box
used by our credit team, creditservice(3)lightstream.com.
Unfortunately, the loan support representative would not have been able to tell you that additional information was needed as this was a decision made by the credit analyst. After not receiving the verification documentation, we marked your application as incomplete after 22 days.
Regarding the reflection on your credit score, the application does appear negatively on your credit report, but does appear as an inquiry.
We pride ourselves in providing a great customer experience and are sorry that your experience was nota positive one.
