Lincoln Institute of Financial Education Reviews (23)

[redacted] and [redacted] has received several hours of personalized, one-to-one mentoring from Candace P[redacted] in addition to the group classes they were enrolled in.  This individualized instruction included numerous texts, emails and deal evaluation directly with Candace.  The real...

estate course is designed to provide education in how to find and evaluate deals and combine that with real money to invest in deals found by the students.  LIFE recently contracted with a third party company to provide the education and deal funding support for this program.  [redacted] and [redacted] have requested (and were given the opportunity) of working with a new instructor from this new team.  Candace realized that the deals found by the [redacted] did not meet the company's criteria for funding so she spent [redacted]e helping them understand how to find buyers and financing on these deals in the local market.  However, given the nature of quick real estate financing, the deals must still meet certain criteria which the [redacted] were never able to find.  The company believes the clients received full value for the education they paid for via the valiant and [redacted]e-consuming efforts of Candace and the company still has opportunities for financing deals for the [redacted] if they can find ones that work according to the stated criteria.

Greetings,We originally denied Mr. [redacted]'s refund because he cancelled on the 4th business day after he received the merchandise.  Our cancellation/refund policy is all clients have 3 business days after the receipt of the merchandise to cancel and receive a full refund guaranteed.  After...

this 3-day right of rescission passes we do what we can for our clients to get them the value from our programs that so many of our other clients have received.  We did some further digging into Mr. [redacted]'s case and found out that the compliance officer told Mr. [redacted] he would have until August 17th, 2016 to cancel simply out of human error; however, because Mr. [redacted] was told he could cancel up until the 17th of August (instead of the 16th, which would have been his actual last day to cancel) we are willing to grant Mr. [redacted] a full refund, even though his contract clearly states that he has 3-business days to cancel. We are currently in the process of contacting Mr. [redacted] to have him sign a refund agreement stating that he will rescind his negative comment about our company in exchange for a full refund.  We care about each and every one of our clients and we want them to achieve the success they deserve.   Our programs offer that achievable success and we have worked very hard to obtain such value in everything we offer.  Unfortunately, we have learned that some people are out to "play the system" by getting all of the information they can and then canceling at the last minute to get all of their money back.  For this reason, we stick to our 3-day cancellation policy unless the client's circumstances deem negotiable.  We do offer a satisfaction warranty for every client that guarantees they will be satisfied with their education at the end of their program (as long as they follow the necessary requirements) or we will give them a full refund.  Again, Mr. [redacted]'s situation was a unique one in that we didn't realize he was told he could cancel on the 4th business day instead of the regular 3rd business day.  We are happy to refund Mr. [redacted] upon his signature of our refund agreement.  Please let me know if you need any further information.

The company does offer funding through third parties.  Originally, the company entered into an arrangement with a funding source willing to partner with clients on wholesaling properties. This funding source would provide a proof of funds to help secure the deal and would work with the client...

in assuring a profitable sale.  This source would only partners on deals which met a few, specific criteria.  The company believed this relationship was a unique value proposition in the market and began making sales.  We quickly found a need for funding for deals outside of this narrow band of acceptable criteria.   Unfortunately, within a few weeks after launch, this funding partner was admitted to a hospital with a serious and potentially fatal condition which put a kink in the planned funding solution. So the company was faced with a need to replace an existing funding source (which provided proof of funds - a key differentiator) and also which could fund a broad range of deal types and price points.  The company has now secured two funding sources.  One is a traditional hard money lender with great terms and a willingness to invest in a variety of real estate projects.  The other is a source which, among other things, provides proof of funds to help investors secure properties quickly.Mr. [redacted] makes reference that Mark "set him strait on that."  Mark understands our funding needs and parameters.  In all the calls Mark had with Mr. [redacted], he never said we don't offer funding.  We do offer funding.  At first for very specific deals.  However, now the company is even better positioned to provide funding.  We look forward working with Mr. [redacted] and funding his deals in the future.
