I spoke directly with Karl B of *** about updating my resume and LinkedIn profile for 2019.
On 10/17/2018, after *** / Karl B upsold me on the 'silver package', I paid $799 in advance. *** was more expensive than alternative offerings but Karl B was quite the persuasive salesman and referenced Linked In relationship as key selling point (unclear what that relationship is). Karl also mentioned a 30 day period that we needed to be aware of (which I noted) and then apparently assigned Susan C *** as the writer for my Resume/LinkedIn project.
We kicked off the project with Karl B / *** on 10/17/2018. Karl B promised that I would have a first draft by 10/23/18. On 10/23/18, with no drafts from ***, I had to email Karl B / *** at 10:23 pm on 10/23/18 to check on their delivery promise. I got my first response from Susan at 10:56 pm on 10/23/18 after I had to follow up with Karl B and ***.
We made some back and forth progress and then on 11/06/18 Susan, Karl B and *** all disappeared. Despite my many email attempts, NO one ever reappeared until 11/22/18 at 9:06 am. By this time, the 30-day period was over, and the project continuity was completely broken.
Susan never reappeared. Karl 'deeply apologized' about the unprofessional behavior, 'apologized' about the delays and broken promises and 'appreciated our patience'.
The process was broken and very unprofessional. Karl B made many more broken promises along the way and then ended the project without finishing resume, and without work on the Linked In profile, and with no Cover Letter. I called *** on 12/20/18 and 12/30/18. I left professional Voicemails but never got a return call.
Bottom line – after Susan disappeared on 11/06/18 (2 weeks in), Karl did not want to finish the resume work. And without finishing the resume work, the project could not be professionally completed.
We have 100% documentation of all emails and can provide as required.

October 17, 2018, *** D, management consultant paid for 30 days of access time with our resume/profile writer. Per attached, the 30 days of access time is clearly marked in the receipt email, questionnaire email, FAQ webpage and our Terms of Service https://***.com/terms-conditions/ which *** agreed to when he paid.

October 17, 2018 afternoon *** D completed his online questionnaire.

October 23, 2018 *** writer emailed *** D the first draft of his resume within our stated 4 business day delivery time.

October 23, 2018 - November 7, 2018 – client chose to go on vacation to the Caribbean islands rather than work on his project with his writer and some basic client revisions and discussions occurred via email

November 8, 2018 – November 27, 2018 *** writer had a severe family emergency and could not continue project.

November 28, 2018 *** general manager, Karl sent *** his latest revised resume and extended ***’s access time from 30 days to 50 days (October 17, 2018 - December 7, 2018) due to the 19 day gap in service by ***.

December 12, 2018 *** D asked for more access time and was informed that his access time had expired. *** was provided free access to our website which contains free resume and profile examples. *** was offered a free install of his resume into Linkedin, but no further revisions of his profile with an expiration date.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is not fair and it is not right - please see the attached 'quick' documentation for specifics.

Karl B, Linked In/*** broke their own 30-day contract terms .... and then tried to wing it. In the process of winging it - they dropped a lot of balls.

Karl B upsold me on a professional and quick process - it was neither professional nor quick. And, more importantly, it was never delivered - the resume was not completed because the writer could not finish it. Karl had no ability or time in picking up the broken pieces.

So to be clear - at the 30 day contract endpoint - I had an incomplete, piecemeal and choppy resume, no correlated Linked In profile, and no cover letter. I am super busy and was counting on *** to deliver.

And I paid the premium $799. This is NOT how I envisioned it. Karl sold a much different vision - and did not deliver. Do the right thing.

We have much more granular support documentation to provide as required.

Also - Karl references LINKED IN as a key selling point (one of his two company names is 'Linked In Profile and Resume Writing Services'). Does Karl and his team work for Linked In or for ***?

I purchased the resume writing service for $649 in July. I was under the impression that once I submitted the online questionnaire, I had 30 days to access the service and work with the author to ensure the resume amd profile were to my liking. They only allow 30 days of interaction to develop the product. I am ready to begin my search for a new role and completed the questionairre today. I received a response that said my request was rejected and I would not receive the product or a refund, as I had thirty days from the time of payment to submit the information. I find this unacceptable. I paid for a service never received. At no point did this company call or email me to inform me that I only had 30 days to complete the process from the time of payment, or that I would risk forfeiting payment. I was not ready to use the service until 2018, after a bonus payout. I find it absurd that a refund would not be offered when no effort or service was provided and no attempt to inform me of the expiration approaching was provided. The information was misleading at best.

Per our Terms of Use, which *** was notified of when she paid for the service on 7/26/17 the customer must submit our questionnaire within 30 days from the date of purchase. We have this policy because of the administrative work required to get a project queued, reviewed and scheduled, as well as to account for time lost that could have been working on another project during the time slot reserved for your project. Per the Terms of Use there are two 30-day time periods. First is 30 days from purchase to submit our competed questionnaire. Second is 30 days of Access Time after customer submits the questionnaire for a potential total of 60 days. We have had this policy for several years. Customer states “I was under the impression” presumably that there is no expiration date without providing any company documentation to support her claims. Conversely, Company makes our policy clear in the attached section of the Terms of Use. Company is not responsible to notify customer when their service is expiring. We can’t think of any offer (e.g. ***, grocery store discount, warranty, etc.) that reminds customers of an upcoming expiration date. https://***.co/terms-conditions/

LinkedIn Pro was one of the most professional experiences of 2017 for me. There professionalism and factual research was second to none. I would recommend to anybody in my network. I do not write reviews but this one is well deserved.
