About a year after installation of my Thermatru fiberglass door there was an issue with the center glass slipping down into the doorI called TT and they sent a rep who repaired the glass A month or so later the glass again slipped into the doorI again called TT and they again sent a repThis time the rep installed a block in the door to hold up the glassThis appeared to solve this problem A few years later another problem started with the doorOn extremely cold days ice would form on the inside door panel and side panelOnce again TT sent a repThe rep suggested that we try adding caulk under the saddle which I didProblem only slightly solvedWe still had frost formation, but it was so infrequent we just lived with it Fast forward a few more years to this summerAt certain times of the day you could see daylight creeping in around the door, indicating the door was no longer sealing properlyWe took no action until a few weeks ago when the door no longer closed

Glass within door was loose in door poor workmanship Have had conversations with door manufacture they have been to my house times bringing door glass that is subpar or worse than the one I have.they have basically told me that glass movement in the door is allowable.I asked to see that guarantee in writing and I have yet to to see warranty stating that or had my problem fixed

Glass is falling in all sections of our doorTherma Tru says they will repair sidelight panels & only the glass in the center section We are very concerned we are suppose to match the center of the door to the sidelight panels, there will be over years difference in the center section compared to new sidelight panelsContractors tell me it will never look right Since they are replacing the sidelight panels and glass, we only have to take the old ones out and install the new onesThis isn't the case with the center section, where they will only send us the glassWe are suppose to take apart the center door, replace the glass, then put the door back togetherThis will cause weatherproofing and insulation issuesThe door will never be the sameThe company is taking a short cut as a cost savings and don't care about the effect on us

Purchased a new thermo-tru door at Lowes and now the thermo-tru won't make good on warrantee Purchased a new thermo-tru new at Lowes under ten years ago, everything was fine until two years ago the inner lead glass started falling apart and sagingCalled thermo-tru and was told to go to Lowes to start the warrantee process Lowes Contact me a few days later to tell me that Thermo-tru wouldn't warrantee the door glass, because the door had another customer name on it When we purchased the door at Lowes we were told it was a special order and that the client did not like the door, it was marked down for a quick sale The door was still in the original wooden shipping crate, with exposed openings to inspect the door, the door was brand new, perfect condition and never opened Lowes purchase the door tru thermo-tru and sold it When you buy a car with a few miles on it it's still warrantied for years thousand miles When you buy a open box TV at Costco it's still war

The Low-E glass provided with the Therma-Tru door installed on February 24, does not perform as certified and advertised The issue of poor performance of the glass insert in the Smooth Star Model Spatio door with Low-E, Comfort Select (CS-73) coated glass was first addressed to Therma-Tru on March 6, and currently remains unresolved Therma-Tru offered a settlement on April 25, in exchange for an agreement of confidentiality, however, the settlement was also contingent on disclosure of private Social Security information The letter of confidentiality was signed and returned to Therma-Tru on April 28, The Social Security information was not provided as there was no basis for the confidential information and could not be justified The offer subsequently expired on May 26, based on the terms of the settlement letter from Therma-Tru When the Therma-Tru patio door was first installed, it was noticed the new glass performed substantially worse

In the face of clear photographic evidence that my two year old Therma Tru patio doors were well painted and maintained, the warranty was denied after both the hinge and lock side edges came apart in last winters rains Lack of paint and maintenance was cited in denying the warranty......this is simply not true and photographs prove it
Therma Tru has simply gone silent The warranty claims agent does not respond to further emailed questions or further evidence sent He just denies your warranty and goes quiet
Therefore I've sent a letter to Mr*** and Mr***, listed as contacts on this Revdex.com site for Warranty Claims and Customer Service
I will let you know if I get a response to these letters which ask for a reversal of the warranty decision or further correspondence as to why the warranty is not being honored

I purchased three Therma-Tru Fiberglass doors January After the doors were professionally installed one of them started to leak within two weeks after a good rain storm Had a company representative from TM Cobb come out and claim it was the installation Both the contractor and I showed the representative exactly where the water was coming through and I showed him that when I covered the top of the threshold no more water came in I also called the company and emailed them several times All a waste of time I spent three thousand dollars on new doors and they aren't as good as my year old wood doors I was replacing This company DO NOT HONOR their warranty at all They denied the claim and offered me a new frame that I would have to pay for I wish I had seen all the terrible reviews before I purchased from Therma-Tru I would have never bought them had I known

WRONG COLOR MARKED ON STAIN CAN
I just got off the phone with Brian from customer service we had a therma tru door installed at the end of April by a professional who also did the finishwe ordered cedar stain color and even though the can was marked cedar the color was mahoganyIn emails with the customer service department they admitted the color of the door is not cedar but they refuse to make good on their mistakeThey are offering me a can of cedar colored stainThe door and all the wood trim needs to be stripped and cleaned for the cedar stain to work because cedar over mahogany is just uglyI tried talking to Brian and explained that a couple of hundred dollars would go a long way to make this rightbut he held the company policy and only offered me a new can of stainIf this is the company policy I really hope that the door is trouble free because I would hate to see how they handle other issuesthe pictures show the color of the display that we ordered and w
