this is an AWFUL business preying on the innocent people to scam & steal their money for deeded documentation of homeownership that is of PUBLIC record!!! Deeds, mortgages, and other recorded documents are of PUBLIC RECORD - available for a minimum fee (in [redacted] County its a $per page fee! and their mailing propaganda asks people to send in $for those same recordsthis just ifuriates me!!! This "Local Records Office" company, based in Harrisburg, PA, the state capital, does state in its letter that it is not a governmental agency and that a legitimate copy of the deed, a matter of public record, can be obtained from the legitimate county recorder. However, their entire business model seems to be making money off of public records.

I recently purchased a home and this business sends mailers to trick new homeowners into providing money to them for something they do not need and can get free. This type of deception is too rampant and people need to be made aware so I am sharing this comment on Revdex.com.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. 
Although they do state verbage in the letter, but any new home owner can be easily mislead. The way they sent the mail and envelope are mis leading. Also the information in the packet is nothing spectacular, just few pages of previous home owner loan docs, school info and copy of deed.
These are things we are already given by any realtor and our own research. This business should be immediately closed for provider such services and prints out so to speak. I consulted my attorney and she said it is spam and they are making money for sending false papers.
Also, deed is already obtain when we close on our loan.  Please do the thorough investigation of this company and take an appropriate action.

Ditto the review that was sent on 8/10/2016 on this company. I was sent the letter by this company and to me it is just a scam to get $89 into their pockets. Don't take the bit.
