Tried to get a Loves credit card as we travel with our Motor Home to AZ, SD, Ks, NM, Texas and Ok.
They wanted my company name so I gave it to them wondering just what difference that makes. Then I was told that my business was not on file with the Secretary of state. WHAT . I have several other fuel cards as I told them but it made no difference Loves still would not give me one. I also told them that my credit score is well above 775 and still no approval because of the Secretary of State thing.

Hello Larry, thank you for reaching out. Our Love's Express fuel card is directed more towards commercial semi-truck drivers. We apologize for your experience and any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate the time you've taken to reach out to us!

If I could give them zero stars that would be to good. Driver bought a Garmin elog from Patton location in Houston,Tx work for a day. The they didn't want to take it back or exchange. Now my driver has been sitting there for 4 hour waiting on a tire change and they still have the same truck in the bay (for mud flap change since he got there). Something has to be done this is just very unprofessional.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Jan 09, 2020

Hello Doris, I have forwarded your comments to our Tire Care Area Manager and the District Manager over the Houston, TX location so they can look into this to see why the service took so long. Please accept my apology for the delay. We appreciate the heads up and assure you we will find out what happened and work to make sure it doesn't happen again. We know your down time is short and you expect to get in, get out and get going quickly.

I was at the new Rochelle, IL location. I added gas to my vehicle. I chose 87 octane. I looked at my receipt and I was changed the highest octane price, which was over $0.70 more per gallon. Before I went in to talk with the manager, as a test, I ran my card through again and noticed that only the 2 lower octanes had a blue light lit on their buttons. The highest octane button did not have its blue light lit. I picked 87 octane again but again I was charged the highest octane price.

I went in and talked with the Operational Manager. I told him about my previous test and even offered to have him come out so he could see a test firsthand. Which he refused. He told me he was sure I received the highest octane fuel(how did he know that) and that since I have that fuel in my tank, he would be unable to refund me the difference. I told him that was unacceptable and after continued conversation he agreed to give me the difference in cash. Which he did, but with a disdainful attitude.

As he retrieved my cash from the register, he went on to tell me that he had called in for pump maintenance the day before. I then asked him if they have been ripping people off since yesterday. He said no, and that it was for a fuel flow issue. But I feel I wasn't getting the full story.

Bought inverter in Yemmassee, SC. Stopped working before I got to Dillon, SC. No refunds on electronics. Didn’t want another since that didn’t work. HAD to get something that cost exactly the same, not merchandise that cost the same. They sell a lot of electronics. Don’t buy it!

Going on vacation. Wanted to have tire pressures checked on truck and travel trailer. Went to Les Schwab where I was told I would have to wait 20 minutes. I told them I just wanted the air pressures checked. They said they were short-handed. My wife and I left and went to a Love's Travel Center where they were working on a number of semi's. I told them about the experience at Les Schwab tires and they immediately sent a mechanic out and checked and adjusted the air pressure in the tires which took about 3 minutes. We couldn't believe being told we would have to wait 20 minutes for a 3 minute job that Loves did. Even though they were very busy working on semis they took the time to check our truck and travel trailer. My hats off to Love's and although I don't drive a semi they showed just as much interest in us. We have a friend who does have a semi company and we will certainly advise to use Love's whenever he or his drivers can and pass the word to other companies and drivers. Kudos to Loves.

I was visiting the restaurant owned by Loves in North Utica, Il and was shocked and dismayed by the employee’s attitude. She told me not to touch the glass and had a terribly rude tone. I just walked away. The employees name was Karen, by the way of name tag

Had a steer tire fixed on a road .call. 2 hrs .ended being 6 hrs .guy brought the wrong jack .tried to jack up my truck by the spring .had no idea what he was doing . Had to run back to shop to get the floor jack he should have brought in the first place .he damaged my alluminum wheel on the pavement.did not torque the lug nuts .and the valve stem was soo loose it was barely on .the centercap was not on all the way. We went to a loves down the road after the service call .we had run out of hrs .so after 10 hr break we proceeded to the loves tire center. To have the lug nuts torqued and air pressure checked. That's when the tech found the valve stem loose had to take the tire off .tighten it.the wheel was damaged from the roadcall. He put it back on and torqued the lights and made sure the center cap was on correctly .we called loves both guys I spoke with said they didn't do it was rude and I asked for a refund due to the bad service xtra time for the service call .I was never informed of anything but 2 hrs .and blamed me for the tech bringing the wrong jack .said he could have charged me more and expected me to have paid the 2 nd tech we had to go to to correct the road side guys mistakes and bad service was very rude .I sent pics of the day before at the venue .and our tour dates showing our destination .he said he doesnt think his tech did it .I explained the only one that has took off that tire was roadside service .its a big rig .and I cannot take it off the 2 nd tech saw the damage and other things wrong with the tire and nicely helped us out I sent the invoice to them .they called me a liar. And he didn't like the pics I sent him said they are not going to do anything .

My freight liner truck was towed without warning during my most recent home visit. I am a truck driver and I have used this truck stop for the past 3 years to park my truck while I am spending my home time with my family (I arrived home June 1, 2019). I picked this particular truck stop because there were NO signs indicating that parking for extended periods of time was not permitted. However, this last visit home I went to go leave (June 7, 2019) only to find that the General Manager had towed my truck without warning (on June 4th). This cost me not only the $922.40. tow cost but other money as well, as I was not able to leave as planned. Once again there was no signs to indicate that extended parking was not permitted. There was only one sign that said unauthorized vehicles will be towed, however I am a truck driver I was at a truck stop and I was driving a freight liner so I was authorized. My truck was legally parked in a parking spot and I had a student that I was training who was in the truck that weekend). I do an extreme amount of business with Love's and have for several years now. This is the first time I have EVER had an issue with this before.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Jun 15, 2019

Hello ***, thank you for reaching out to us. Our stores' overnight parking policy states that we allow a truck to park overnight on our lot provided the drivers do not drop their trailer or leave the truck unattended. We apologize for any miscommunication or frustration that has been caused by this event. Please contact Love's Customer Service at 1-800-OKLOVES () to discuss this matter further. You may reference case # *** or ***. We have re-escalated your concerns to the operations team, as well as your contact information.

Thank you,*** R.

I am rejecting this response because:If there is a policy of such sort there should have been signs stating that which there where not. If your going to tow vehicles a sign should be posted. If that sign was, posted you would have not been towing any vehicles at all because drivers would know.

Very disappointed in Loves and their treatment of paying customers. Loves is refusing showers to anyone not doing long haul 18 wheeler drives. I am a short distance driver and also a full time RV’er and have never had an issue with getting a shower. It has come to my attention that they are now enforcing a policy that unless you drive a big rig and are staying overnight onsite that you cannot purchase a shower. I can assure the business I will not be spending any money with them until this policy is revised.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Apr 25, 2019

This review was made by someone who heard something about our business, but did not have a direct interaction. We contacted the guest via email on 4/25/19 and apologized for the misinformation he was given. We explained that our showers are available to the public for a fee with no restrictions regarding who can or can not use the service.

Customer Response • Apr 25, 2019

Their response is absolutely NOT correct and I do not appreciate the lie. I had direct interactions with a store AND their corporate office through a phone conversation made on April 23rd 2019 at 5:44pm.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Apr 25, 2019

Thank you for your reply. We apologize for the error and miscommunication; Due to the comment ("It has come to my attention that they are now enforcing a policy") led us to believe you were not directly impacted by this misinformation. Rest assured we have escalated your concerns with our operations team to ensure we are serving all customers regardless of profession.

Loves Travel Stop ; truck stop in Albuquerque NM store #210.. As approaching the store to get something to eat, a security guard acting nasty approached and said no foot traffic alowed, I showed him the company logo on my shirt and said I was a driver and that my company would be hearing about this. The store is advertised as 24 hours. I understand that the store wants to keep the homeless away, but isn't that discrimination on it own. I think this store needs to be revealed and investigated considering it is part of a chain that is supposed surve US.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Apr 25, 2019

We contacted the guest via email on 4/25/19 and apologized for the actions of and the misinformation provided by the security guard. We explained that our store is open and available 24 hours a day to better serve his needs.

My husband and I stopped at the Hillsboro Texas store last week to get a shower. We had to go to 3 different ones because the system was messed up and none of the doors would unlock. We had assistance from employees. We ended up being in the handicapped bathroom which was fine except shower head is at about 4 and a half feet and we are way taller than this. Husband is 6 foot one. This store needs looking into to make a better experience for the customer.

over charged 3 times. I purchased about $20 from store 217, Denton TX. I had a provisional charge of $30. No worries I understand Gas stations do this. My complaint is I was charged the $30 3 separate times. So $90. I called to dispute this with my Card company they assured me this would be taken off within 3 days. Very early the next morning I checked my account and I was shocked that not only was there a charge for $30 but now I had 2 charges for $100 each. All for about $20 worth of gas. This is literally highway robbery and I have filed a complaint with the States Attorney General

Manager named lewis walked by me FOUR times while I was waiting at the fuel desk for help..I waved at him, asked for help he aknowledged me then walked away to drink coffee and talk and left me standing there...then when he asked for my fuel island number and truck number he repeated it back to me wrong atleast 3 times while people waited behind me I just pointed at my truck on the moniter behind him because he kept jerking me around...its ridiculous...if you dont like drivers why are you working at a truck stop? I was nothing but polite but there will be some complaints filed with corporate..the whole experience was unnecessary and humiliating

Catherine, I do apologize for this interaction. If you would be willing to share which location this took place, we will be more than happy to address this with the management.

Tried to get gas at Loves on Fri. 6-15-2018. Used my debit card, pump wouldn't pump. 0.00 on pump. They put a $100 hold for 5 business days on my account even though I didn't get a penny of gas.

Love's Travel Stops Response • Jun 20, 2018

We contacted the guest via telephone on 6/20/18. He let us know the hold was removed from his account on 6/19/18 after making a phone call to his banking institute. We explained to him that Love's does not determine the length of time a hold remains on an account.

Customer Response • Jun 20, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I can use my same card at the Shell station in Kingston, OK and it will not place a hold on my account. If it is the bank that puts on the hold why doesn't it do it everywhere? Also Love's said that they set the amount. Why then do my friends who buy gas there only have a hold of$1.00 instead of the $100 on mine? And why did Love's know that the hold on the $0.00 purchase was going to be 5 days if they don't set the time?

Sincerely

The Filling Station in Columbia Tennessee off Bear Creek Pike associated with Love's Travel Stop... I received water in diesel and it almost cost me my engine!!! The repairs are already about $1,000 and I'm going back tomorrow with a stalling out problem.
*** from Love's filling station company headquarters said it was not their problem even though the warning light came on after I fill up from their station and our the car repair shop said that that was the only thing that it could have been was receiving bad diesel fluid...since our car fairly new and well maintained with no issues or history was from a bad fill up.
The biggest problem I have with loves Corporation as that they keep saying they would recheck if anyone else complained. Then call me back a day later and tell me nothing new but on the fifth day *** mentions the wrong service station making his whole investigation story seem more like a lie. At that point he said he would recheck and then came up with nothing new nobody's complained and they have no indication of water in there Diesel. I don't believe that anyone did thorough investigation of the diesel fluid that I received I know it's hard to go back since it's been 2 weeks. On the day we pumped are diesel the Sun was shining and there was no rain there is no moisture in the air. We drive a Mercedes Sprinter and the engine is very technical warning lights will appear with any problems I believe that receiving the light shortly after filling up was an indication that the diesel itself did have the water are tank is locked up nobody can get to it there is no other reason for water being an our diesel. if *** is accurate and they have been checking their diesel tanks then there could possibly be and environmental reason for water getting in the tank in which case I will have to contact the EPA.
I have records of the repair shop proving the findings was water in the filter after receiving contaminated diesel the receipt for the gas station. I also have a name and contact inforinformation from the repair shop believing that this is from contaminated diesel oil

Ms.,

I am in receipt of your letter dated May 15, 2018. On or around April 29, 2018, Ms. stopped at our Love’s Travel Stop #346 in Columbia, TN and purchased diesel fuel. Ms. later reported that her vehicle sensors indicated that there was moisture in the diesel and she took it to a repair facility in Columbia, TN. The service advisor explained to Ms. that her fuel was contaminated with water.

After a thorough review, we are unable to find any issues with the diesel fuel at this location. We received no other complaints, have no known issues, and have no indication of any water or debris in our diesel fuel. Utilizing this information we did not offer any compensation to Ms..

Should you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the information below.

I am rejecting this response because:Because I don't believe that they actually checked ....I don't believe that there's proof that they tested the diesel and they actually told me at one point because no one else had complained. My van has a very expensive engine and not every engine has a water sensor feature that reacted after my fill up. I would like more proof and I would like the Revdex.com to look into this business and see if they're actually doing an investigation or if they're just waiting on people to complain. I don't believe that waiting for people to complain as a sign that you're doing a good job. I actually have more evidence that after fill up my engine was contaminated then they have shown proving that there diesel wasn't. I would prefer a more active involvement than a passive reproach.I also have receipts proving that there was water just let me know what you need I'd be glad to show proof.Thank you so much.

ON 3/1/18 MY TRUCK BROKE DOWN AND I DROVE IN TO LOVE'S TRUCK STOP #206 TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE MECHANIC STARTED WORKING ON THE TRUCK, AND AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS AND HAVING IT ALL ALL DISARMED APPART AND NOT BEING ABLE TO FIX IT HE SUGGESTED I TOOK IT TO A DEALER, WHICH AT THAT TIME WAS IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO HE HAD IT ALL TORN APPART. I WAS CHARGED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT FOR LABOR BECAUSE THE MECHANIC DIDNT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE ISSUE IN MY TRUCK. AFTER IT WAS FINALLY FIXED AND I DROVE OUT, TWO DAYS LATER IT BROKE AGAIN CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO EXCHANGE PARTS I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR. I WAS TOLD I HAD A 90 DAY 100% GUARANTEE, WHICH DID NOT TURN OUT TRUE WHEN I CALLED THEM ABOUT THE JOB THEY DID BRAKING DOWN AGAIN

I am in receipt of your letter dated April 26, 2018. On March 1, 2018, Mr. stopped at our Love’s Travel Stop #206 in Loxley, AL to have his left front drive wheel seal and bearings replaced as his he said it became hot and he heard a noise.

After a thorough review, we are unable to find any issues with the workmanship performed at this location. Our mechanic checked the differential fluid level but found it low. The mechanic then recommended Mr. to take his vehicle to a dealership to have it fixed instead of having it temporarily fixed at our location. With this information, Mr. still requested we temporarily fix the issue so he could make it home. Before we started any repairs, Mr. knew this would be a temporary fix and he would have to get the repairs completed again at a dealership. Utilizing the current information, we are unable to offer any compensation to Mr.. This information was communicated to Mr. on April 25, 2018.

I love Love's haha. I have been watching Loves since day one they started building it in Belen, New Mexico. I'm so excited to be able to get gas from there and eat. I have been going to Loves since I was 0 years old. My father and mother always took me to Loves when my dad was in the military or when we traveled. I ended up joining the Army like my father and first thing I did was try and find a Loves where I was stationed but could not find one only because I could not leave base. Long story short I finally have a gas station close to my house in Belen,NM that I can go to. I don't care what the gas prices are I will be filling up my car no where else. Again thank you for coming to Belen and I can not wait till it opens.

On 11/20, I stopped at the Loves Travel.Center in Lake Mississippi. I do a great deal of business with loves. I shop and eat at loves at least five days a week. Typically speaking, customer service has been exceptional.

At 1945, I.walked into the restaurant area of the Loves, and asked for a pepperoni pizza. The guy behind the counter said it would take ten minutes, but that they also have slices next to the front register. I proceeded to walk towards the main cashier outside of the restaurant area, looked to see if they had pizza available, saw that they didn't, and proceeded to walk back towards the restaurant.

As I stated to walk back towards the restaurant, I felt a tug on my left arm, and turn to see a stuffed alligators head (teeth), had snagged my polo.jacket, and ripped it. Once I realized what happened, I lean down to pickup the alligators head that ripped my jacket and place it back on the display. It's important to note, this display is on the edge of one of the busiest areas of the truck stop. Having an item with sharp teeth, in an area where people walk all day might not be the best location.

At first I wasn't going to say anything. By chance the on duty manager comes into the restaurant I'm at, and I point out what exactly happened. He was very honest in saying he didn't know how to proceed, but that he'd give me the general managers number to call on 11/21.

On 11/21, I call ***, the GM at the lake.MS store, and explain what happened. He said he wasn't sure how to proceed, but that he'd call me back.

An later,a woman who's name in not sure about called me back. She asked what happened, and I have a detailed account of how my jacket was ripped. Once I finished, she said, "is that all?", to which I replied, yes. She went to to thank me for calling, and started to end the phone call. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting my reporting to them that my jacket was ripped, but at least an apology or acknowledge that the product was in a bad locat
