Low Rates Appliance Repair Reviews (38)

Dear Revdex.com, This issue has been worked directly with this consumerAgain, just a reminder this job is out of any warrantyThe job was guarantee for months customer contacted after months Thank you [redacted] **

Revdex.com: We have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below These are the following inaccuracies regarding the phone conversation as reported by the manager: The manager told us the warranty was for only mos(even though yrwas written on invoice), she said a return trip would be at our expense, she never mentioned the possibility of an alternate source of the problem, and she never offered to discount anythingShe was accurate in the fact the customer was clearly very upset as she was not willing to accept responsibility for anything and continued to claim her company was certified to work on [redacted] products when in fact they were/are notThe initial repair resulted in the installation of an ice maker, manufacturer unknown, during which a part of the existing cover was broken(When we called about the broken part the manager agreed to replace it, but never followed through.) We have contacted [redacted] and they were willing to consider replacement of the ice maker (even though it was technically out of the one-year warranty period) until it was determined that the repair service we used to install it was not authorized by [redacted] to do so [redacted] recently determined the ice maker to be defective and questioned whether or not it was indeed a [redacted] product since a new identifying cover was not included and the part number was omitted from the invoiceWe want a service, certified to install [redacted] products in our [redacted] refrigerator-freezer, to replace the ice maker and not a company only claiming to be certified Regards, [redacted] ***

They came out to fix my fridge which they could not do, and didn't give me the $discount for first time customers So I ended up paying the service charge in full There is nothing on the site that says you have to complete the repair to get the discount, only that the would go towards the repair if a repair was done $discount was for new customers, which I was they were also two hours late for an appointment scheduled between and They came at

Dear Revdex.com, The previous company offered to fix this refrigerator for the price over $1,and we did fixed it for $We explained this costumer the repair we were planning to do and the cost of itShe agreed and the job was doneAfter the repair was done and refrigerator start working she called regarding different issuesShe told that her ice maker wasn't working and I offered to have our technician come back free of charge and check, although the problem that was repaired was not related to ice makerShe refused! Next she requested to give her the parts number that were install and I did, It took me a while because this unit is older model, over years old and some the original parts were discontinueShe was calling back again and again getting angry with meWhen finally I gave her the part number she told its $part which is not correct and even if you search in the computer or call manufacture she probably was unable to find it!!! Again its a older refrigerator and find the parts pretty difficult I also confirming that she was offered discount of $off and she refuse that tooShe got angry with me again and hang up the phoneWhen I dial later assume its got accidently disconnected she didn't pick up any more Thank you [redacted] **

Dear Revdex.com We contacted our mutual costumer again and tried to resolve the issue directlyWe did express our apology and explained to him that the invoice that he sighed has paragraph Limited Liability to express exactly that type of situation we got "our insurance carrier requires us to inform you that due to the nature of your appliances installation ,any damage incurred by our service technicians the product, the surrounding cabinets, or the flooring covering ,when removing your appliance for repair(s) and in performing the requested service(s) will be your responsibility, and relieve us of any cost of repair(s),should damage occur.(naturally we will be as careful as possible)" And again its not effect the look or the preferment of the unit We still offered refund of $costumer refusedThank you [redacted] *

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to meHowever when questions arose from extensive labor charge the representative became belligerent [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com, We are sincerely surprised regarding this issueWe maintain to respond to our costumers days a week, hours a dayWe apologize for this incident and did checked all our lines to make sure all of them running properly We suspect most likely this costumer might miss dial and would like to inform that all lines are with a live operator and if all lines are busy its roll over to Answering Service with a live operators too Thank you [redacted] O

Tech arrived over one hour after appt window, was polite, but hasty and asked questions that made me suspect of his ability to competently diagnose and repairConsequently, we opted not to proceed with recommended repair and paid service feeHe left service ticket in broken English that was not legibleLater found he had affixed a Low Rates Appliance Repair sticker in our refrigerator...a newer appliance that he was not asked to inspect or repair! When I called office to complain, person who claimed to be the owner, [redacted] , was defensive and belligerentWhen I advised her I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com she threatened me with a lawsuit

Dear Revdex.com, Our goal to provide each and every costumer with exceptional service and professional jobAgain, the estimate was given ahead of time(the copy of invoice with authorized signatures from this costumer available to proof) as of right now the microwave is working I don't feel we are able to offer this costumer any thing else especially after her comment ( YOU HAVE TO GO BACK WERE YOU CAME FROM)I did ask her if any thing else I could do for her and her reply was "No I would like to file complained against your company"Unfortunately if this is something personal there is not whole lot we can do Thank youY***

Dear Revdex.com, On May 31, Mrs [redacted] contacted our company on Sunday that she has an emergency, her refrigerator was leaking and needed a immediate attentionWe offered her an appointment between 1-She told that she willing to pay extra just to get to her place earlier that Sunday morning and we did had our technician earlierHe identified the problem and offed the estimate to fix itShe agreed and approved the estimate and wasn't charge any extra costThe retail cost for that part is $and mark up was $She was happy with the service and paid with her [redacted] cardAbout 3-days later another gentlemen contacted us claiming been the owner of that place and demanding lower priceHe wasn't there at the time of the appointment and can only assume for how long out techwas there despite the fact that we were hired and paid by a different person we offer the gentlemen part number and also offered discount of $offhe still requested more like half offUnfortunately we are not willing to offer that and also tenant Mrs [redacted] confirm later on that she was happy with the service and fine with the cost of it Thank you [redacted] **

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The part was not new and I was lied to The lady on the phone was very rude and nothing was resolved because she was so defensive about her position and would not allow me to follow through with one sentence Regards, [redacted]

To whom it may concern:
I would like to report ‘Low Rate Appliance’ as an extremely terrible companySince they are ‘Revdex.com’ accredited, you should know that we would not use them again and would never recommend them! You can read the attachment where I sent them an email after they completed the workThey then called my wife and were very rude to her and yelled at her, to the point she hung up on themIt was a lady that called my wifeThis same lady told my wife that their hourly service was $per hourSo if you add the part plus the hourly charge, they overbilled us by $The lady, after she yelled, offered my wife a $credit towards future business
Which my wife said no thanksI believe that they should be remove from the ‘Revdex.com’
Part of the email I sent to 'Low Rate Appliance' is below
(You had two men come out, one which set in the truck the whole timeThe cost of the capacitor was from $60-$It took your man minutes at the most to do the work.I paid $367, which if you subtract the capacitor at the range listed above, your man made approx$in labor for a minute job.)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed
the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

had problems lighting of burners tech turned on burners all worked he said didn't do anything still charged $ he was here less than a minute not bad pay for seconds

Dear Revdex.com,
We had our technician originally came out few months ago , he diagnosed a problem been spark control and offered reasonable estimate to repair this issue by replacing this partCustomer approved and repair was completedAfter about month and half we got the phone call from
husband that still some problem with the ovenWhen technician came back few days later he couldn't duplicate the problem and its seems to be working OK. After about another week or so we got a call again that some time it takes longer then usual for pilot to light up. Our technician came back again under warranty and replaced control board again at no cost checked the operation and after every think been working left however he did suggested to the costumer replace two other components to be sure the problem won't reoccur time to time and they will pay just for the parts They refused.A week later the wife called and ask for technician come back againWe made another appointment to come back again. What happened we don't know but the wife became very angry we couldn't communicate she ask to have a diffident technician we agreed she still got so mad to the point that she was screaming and yelling using inappropriate language I replied that I don't think that type of communication will help then finally she canceled an appointment and hang up the phoneWe sincerely regret regarding this issue and would be happy to come back and recheck this appliance with another licensed technicianThank you*** O

Dear Revdex.com, we did contacted this consumer and discussed the issue she is havingThe part we installed was a new manufactured part that our technician had in stack. The estimate was offered before he started the job and approved by the consumerWe did offered additional discount of $offWe did
ask if microwave has any problems and she confirm its working fine The original manufacture part is discontinue but some generic parts are still availableWe believed the job was according appliance service standards and regulations Thank you*** O

Revdex.com:
I would like to reject the offer of Arbitration for complaint ID ***.
I do not feel comfortable moving further with this complaintThe manager of the company contacted me after we filed the complaint and was, in my opinion, extremely rude, disrespectful and highly critical, yelling at me most of the time, name calling, denying things she had said earlier, and interrupting me when I tried to speak, all of which were extremely intimidatingIt is the way she has conducted herself during every encounter from the beginning when we contacted her with the problemSince she has my name, address and phone number, my husband and I are not comfortable going forward with our complaint due to possible repercussions

Dear Revdex.com,
We have received a call from this customer who is complaining that his icemaker has stopped workingHe mentioned that we have replaced the ice maker about months agoWe informed the customer that our guarantee on the job is only for a year (months) as stated on the
invoiceWhat we can least do is come back at no cost to see what the problem is and see if the problem is the sameIf it is, we can offer a discounted priceWe also told the customer that it could be a different issueIf the water is not coming into the ice maker, it could be a problem with the water valveThe customer clearly got upset and told that he expects a complete warranty repair regardless of what the problem isOtherwise, he will file a complaint with Revdex.comWe will not be able to refund the money because the new unit has already been put in and the customer complained past the warranty issued dateWe would gladly come back and give them the best price that we can, but we won't be able to do it under warranty
Sincerely,

They tried to rip me off! My gas oven had a bad "igniter." I knew this going in, and had already checked on the price for a replacement -- $The "technician" arrived in a personal vehicle, took one look inside the oven, told me he had to replace the igniter, and gave me an estimate of $I told him I'd be writing him a check for the service call onlyHe countered by asking what I would payWhen I said "$150," he laughed! It took me minutes to remove three screws (inside the oven -- there was no need to pull the range out), pull the igniter out to expose its two wires, cut the wires, connect the wires to the ones on the new igniter using the wire nuts that came with it, put the igniter back, and replace the three screwsDone deal!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowFirst of all, lets compare apples to applesThe estimate given by the other company was for replacement of the evaporator not the defrost control (a big difference in price)The defrost control which Low Rates Appliance replaced is actually less expensive than the one they removed (I have the original one)The *** defrost control costs about $according to several internet sitesWhen I signed the bill statement for $I had no idea the defrost timer was so inexpensive and the service person did not itemize the bill with a break-down of the cost for the parts and laborIf I had known that the defrost control price was so inflated, I would not have signed the statementWhen I later found out that they really ripped me off, I called the company and asked for a breakdown of the part and labor costs and was disgusted that they charged me $for a $partWhen I spoke to *** about getting a $refund, she was rude and defensive and told me she could only give me a $refund which I said was not acceptableI then told her I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.comWhen I called her a second time we got disconnected and I did not bother to call back because she argued that what they charged was fair and she was not going to refund $She later left me a message on my voicemail (I have the message still on my phone) stating that they are allowed to mark up the cost of parts, that filing a complaint with the Revdex.com will not have a negative impact on their company because the Revdex.com is just an intermediary to help resolve disputes, and that I signed/initialed in places agreeing to the charge (not informed consent)I am again requesting a $refund or I can return the part to their office for a refund of $For ***'s information, the refrigerator-freezer is not years old (as pointed out by the technician because the date it was installed is marked in the refrigerator) and the old defrost control timer part is still available on the internet
