Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted] I have no idea what the contractor is stating with the following "They stopped it because they didn't want to pay for a drawing"  That is 100% false, and was never stated by myself.   The variance was denied due to neighbor, and the contractor was immediately told.    He suggested the $2000 back because he was able to cancel the truss order, and was supposed to return that money and never did.  He then was supposed to build a deck -- yes, but NEVER brought any drawing to show me what the deck would look like, and actually stopped by my home with no one there to look at the deck.   He later messaged me WEEKS later and stated that after looking into the deck- after weeks on the $2000 not being received (stated it was sent to a different account) that the deck would now SURPRISE cost me the whole $8000  --- WHY would anyone order materials for a deck - that you have not even discussed or shown drawings to your client about........  Something fishy here.  I have pics of the supposed materials he was going to use, which I can forward -- and you will see not materials he just purchased.  I have have a number of screen shots of his text messages NEVER stating I didn't want to pay for drawing --   Do you really think I would want this man to now build me a deck -- a deck that I have not even seen drawing of (The pool is partially in ground and partially above ground, and there is a possible deck to build off from, and no decision was ever made as to which way he was thinking.   I have a young child at home and I need to ensure her safety and he chooses to stop by to look at the pool with no one home -I can forward screen shots at your request.  This contractor is not being honest.  Please contact me at the above email address if you would like screen shots -- and pics of supposed materials.I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH HIS RESPONSE AND THE Revdex.com SHOULD NOT BE EITHER.

please have [redacted] get a couple of estimates  for the repairs. I will as well schedule for two estimates to be taken with [redacted] and hopefully this will resolve any issues that have occurred. I apologize  for any inconvenience this may have caused.

In September 2014, I sent Lugerman m C96 Mauser pistol for restoration. I have contacted him seven times since then (almost 22 months) simply requesting a quick status report. He has answered only a few times. On April 14th of this year, go, I received an email saying my item would be completed in three to four weeks. I have not seen it, nor has he responded to further requests since (three months).

I have tried to remain patient, and give him the benefit of the doubt, as I have seen examples of his work, and would say it is as near to perfection as possible. Also, this is not his main job...he also works. The sort of work he does has intensive hand work involved, not just machining. In addition, despite the issues people have with him, he does receive quite a bit of work. So, I am sure his terribly busy.

Taking all this into consideration, however, I do take exception to his business practices, and question his work prioritization. Nowhere on his site does he implicitly state that any given project may take years to complete. Indeed, when you first contact him and discuss the order with him, he gives the impression that it will only take a matter of months to complete and ship the gun back to the customer. From the complaints I have heard from people on various gun boards, THIS IS FAR FROM THE CASE! Others have had to resort to threats of legal action to get him to make a move. No one has a problem with his quality, only his treatment of customers. I am sure that it is a pain to have to respond to incessant update requests, and it could involve much time, BUT he is in possession of the customer's property and significant up front fees! He works for us!

The other concern I have is other than an email stating he received the gun and the down payment check, I have no other proof of where my gun is. If something were to happen to Eugene, how would I get my property back? How would I know he had died, or was put into a facility of some kind? Communication is imperative!

At this point, I would say that despite his being a genius at what he does, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO DO ANY OTHER WORK FOR ME UNLESS HE WERE TO ISSUE A GUARANTEE (with significant repercussions for failure to meet requirements) AS TO A DELIVERY TIME FRAME. He should also be required to provide a property receipt. He would also be required to provide progress reports on a regular basis.

AT THIS POINT, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND LUGERMAN TO ANYONE.

Review: I found "Lugerman" aka [redacted] on his website advertising repair and/or otherwise servicing of Luger [redacted] pistols. I contacted [redacted] several times regarding services that he might provide to my Luger [redacted]. We eventually settled on a servicing protocol whereby he agreed to replace the barrel of my Luger with a barrel made by [redacted] also stated in his email to me that he would examine my pistol in detail and test fire it. Thereafter, he said that he would tell me if my pistol required any other servicing by him to make it safe and reliable to shoot. [redacted] has now had my pistol for almost two months. Despite repeated emails to him which I have sent asking for the status of the repair/servicing he has failed and/or refused to respond. I have called his telephone number several times also and have left messages asking him to call or email me with a status of the repairs/servicing, however once again he has failed and/or refused to return my telephone calls. This business practice of his is unconscionable and may be in violation of state and federal law.Desired Settlement: [redacted], aka Lugerman's unconscionable business practices DEMAND that he:1. immediately return my Luger [redacted] AT HIS EXPENSE;2. that he enclose an invoice for any services that he has purportedly rendered such as replacing the barrel with the agreed upon [redacted] product;3. that ONLY after a reputable gunsmith in the area of my residence inspects the weapon and declares it to manifest the agreed upon services purportedly rendered by "Lugerman" that I will pay the invoice enclosed.

Review: In early May, I sent **. [redacted] a C96 Mauser pistol to have some minor repair work done. he claimed he would start work immediately. that was six months ago and I still don't have my pistol back. In that time, I have sent dozens of E-mails and made numerous phone calls asking about progress. He has ignored all but two of them. In the first response I got back in july he said that he had been "sidetracked" but would start on my pistol right away and have it done in a couple weeks. Then in late August (after I sent several e-mails threatening to take legal action) he responded and said he had been on vacation but would start on my pistol immediately and have it done in two weeks. I haven't heard from him since and he has ignored several e-mails and phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would like him to return my pistol to me immediately. If he has worked on it, I will pay him for the work that he has done, otherwise, I just want it back in the same condition I sent it in.

Review: I sent Lugerman a check for $75 on 9/11 for a [redacted] trigger bar as we had agreed upon. He cashed the check on 9/16. His email correspondence said to allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. I have asked several times through email and phone when he would be shipping my part. He either ignores me or responds saying he will send it next week. Eventually I bought the part elsewhere and asked Lugerman for a refund. He apologized for the delay and agreed to the refund. This was on 10/23. I have yet to receive either the part or the refund. As of today it has been 46 days since he cashed my check.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded to me as agreed upon.

Review: I sent some gun parts to [redacted] (Business Name: Luger Man) in June of 2012. He agreed to modify these parts and send them back to me.

Several months passed and each time I contacted him by e-mail the answer was "I'll get to it next month" or "I'll get to it next week". This went on for months, and when I pressed him for a deadline, I either got no response at all or another vague reply like "I'll get to it soon."

More than a year later, I am still waiting for my gun parts.

In May of 2013, I asked [redacted] to send my unmodified parts back to me. He agreed to do so, but I have still not received them.Desired Settlement: I want him to return my gun parts immediately. (I pre-paid with a $100 money order when the parts were shipped to him in 2012. He could easily send them back by overnight delivery.)
