On 10/12/, We had repaired a the heat pump and a/c conditioning system at [redacted] , Tobyhanna PA *** When Mr Mack A [redacted] was there for the first time to give us an estimate, we were told the we need to replace the outside ton unit and replace the extension valveHe told us that price will be including all needed copper and wiring work and all adjustmentsWe have this in writen form ( estimate we received from him by email) He gave us the price of 3620$, we paid him with checks, one as a deposit total of 1810$ and second after work was "completed" Unfortunately,the service was not what he told us will and was not performed wellHe replaced a unit of ton instead of ton, no extension valve was installed (but he charged us for that), he didn't change the wiring, and the new unit does not matches to old wiring, the system is not working properly.All this time he stated that we have one year labor warranty and we got only days We are very di

2-11-17Dear [redacted]:My name is Mack A[redacted], I have been doing Heating and Air Conditioning for 35 years and am very skilled in this field.I was initially called in to do work for [redacted] by his daughter who resides in Florida. She explained that they were having issues with their...

current heating unit and electrical issues at this location.I provided an estimate that was approved by [redacted], the son-in-law to [redacted]. Also, [redacted] confided that he had problems with other contractors in the past.The unit removed from this location was a 36,000btu, (3 ton) outdoor unit, which I still have in my possession and was to be replaced with a 3 ton unitas proposed. I never promised to install a 3/2 ton unit, this would result in a mismatch of capacity.In an effort to save the customer money by not having to replace the indoor unit as well I installed a flow rater metering device which insured the compatibility of both the indoor and outdoor units.The customer insisted that I was to put in an extension valve which I could only assume that he meant expansion valve. The expansion valve would not fit into his existing unit so I installed the flow rater metering device instead because it operates the same way as the expansion valve.Upon completion of the installation the customer was pleased with my work and I was paid in full. We had a good rapport with the customer, they offered us food and drink and we in turn took their household trash to the dumpster for them.This unfortunate situation began and escalated when I received a phone call one Sunday night at 10:30pm, from [redacted], the son-in-law asking why the [redacted] was not installed but they were charged for it. In order for him to even ask me this question would imply that he or someone else opened up the indoor unit and tampered with it.
