Review: I place an order with magazinesusa.com on February 19, 2014 for 2 magazine subscriptions. I have not received the subscription for "First for Women" that I had ordered for my wife. I have attempted to call numerous times with the company not answering calls, only automated responses and also I have attempted contact via email in which they have not responded. I have contacted publisher of "First for Women" and they also confirm that there has been no subscription received on my behalf from magazinesusa.com, which their system stated it should be received no later than May 18, 2014.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the magazine that was ordered and paid for.

With no response, complete radio silence.Desired Settlement: Either delivery of the item with a free gift to compensate for the delay or a full refund.

Review: I placed an order for Psycology Today magazines with this company on 8-16-13. The magazines never came. I sent the company an email to enquire on 10-17-13 and still no response. Ive called on several occasions only to be referred back to the email system that didn't answer previously.Desired Settlement: I would very much like to get my order. thankyou.

Business

Response:

We have not received a call or phone message from Ms. [redacted] during our regular business hours, 9 AM to 5 PM EST. The publisher of Psychology Today does have her subscription, Subscription Number: [redacted] with an expiration of S/O 14 and the address they have on file matches the address she submitted. Our customer service department replied to her email of 10/17 and has called her to assure her that the subscription will arrive as paid for.

Review: I ordered a subscription to[redacted] which was processed and billed in April 2014. I have not received the subscription and multiple emails to customer service went unanswered. Finally, in July 2014, [redacted] responded saying important messages were being held in her spam filter. After waiting for several more weeks, she confirmed that[redacted] received the order but was no longer processing orders from Magazines USA. A refund would be issued or a credit for another magazine. She asked for my credit card number over the internet, something I was not and am not willing to provide in an unsecure method. She told me to call the new order department and give them the credit card information over the phone. I have placed numerous calls to the number she gave me, always ending up in "[redacted]" voice mail box. I have not heard from [redacted] or anyone else from the company. No one answers the phone.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund in the form of a check mailed to my home.

Review: I placed an order for a magazine subscription on March 18, 2013.

My credit card was charged for the price of the order, but I haven't to receive any magazines.

Calls and emails to the customer service at MagazinesUSA.com are not returned.Desired Settlement: Please refund the cost of this transaction.

Business

Response:

We attempted to call Mr. [redacted] yesterday but the number that he provided us is not in service. We have emailed in response and are in contact with the publisher to find out what the delay is and will make sure that he receives the full subscription as paid for.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The contact number that I provided has not been out of service at any point. This is a complete untruth.

It has been nearly five months since I placed this order.

Review: I ordered Southern Living on Sept 27, 2013 and still have not received my first issue. Business

Response:

Our customer service department was in contact with Ms. [redacted] directly regarding the publisher delay with the renewal of her subscription. We have assured her that it has gone through and will arrive in the next 4 weeks. We offered her a choice of a free subscription as compensation for the delay and she chose a title. We hope that she is satisfied and that if she has any issues, she should please contact Tamar in customer service and we will do our best to assist her.

Regards,

Review: I first contacted Magazines USA in September 2013 to order a subscription to Cooking Light as a gift for my daughter. To date, my daughter has not received her magazine. I have a running record of the emails I have sent to Magazines USA and the flimsy excuses I have received from them, and I keep getting the runaround. The last straw was today. I had spoken on the phone yesterday with an "[redacted]" who supposedly is a manager. She promised she would call me by the end of today to let me know what has happened to my order. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK TODAY AS SHE HAD PROMISED.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I do not trust that this company will every fulfill my order. I have seen numerous similar consumer complaints on the internet regarding the same issues with Magazines USA..

Business

Response:

This order was initially submitted by the customer under the wrong address, and we changed it at her request on 10/29/13 but the magazine was not coming soon enough for the customer, so we have refunded her in full, at her request, on 12/19/13.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Thank you for your quick response to my original email and for your help. What gets me is that this company thought nothing of having me wait over 3 months for a simple magazine subscription and that they kept telling me things and making excuses that were contradictory. I have found many similar complaints from other customers on the internet with magazines USA. Also I couldn't get any action from them until I told them I had contacted the Revdex.com.

Review: I ordered a magazine subscription for Runners World through Magazines USA on March 01, 2013. I have yet to receive a single issue of the magazine ordered. I contacted MMagazines USA on June 12, 2013 to inquire about the status of my magazine subscription. I received a response from [redacted] on June 18th, 2013 that she would trace the order and get back to me. Having not heard back from [redacted] for for three weeks from the promised trace, I once again contacted magazines USA to once again inquire. I was at this time promised my magazine within 4 weeks (July 31 2013 at the latest). To this date (August 9th 2013) I have not received any magazine, and MagazinesUSA is no longer answering correspondence from me.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is a full refund for the purchase price of the magazine subscription as I have purchased a subscription from another vendor already and do not require nor want the delayed subscription from Magazines USA any further.

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] about his delayed subscription and have responded to each of his letters. His account number is #[redacted] and he will receive the full subscription as paid for.

Review: On Mar. 11, 2013, I placed an order for 3 years of Bicycling magazine, through MagazinesUSA.com, of which I was charged $8.95, and is order # [redacted]. As of today, July 16, 2013, I still have not received this subscription, nor does Bicycling Magazine's Subscription Dept. have anything on file from MagazinesUSA.com submitted in my name. Upon contacting them at their phone number, ###-###-####, I spoke to one person, who said she would put a trace on the magazine. Having heard nothing in 2 weeks, I attempted to phone again, to no pickup. Further, I sent an email, [email protected], of which, several days later, a [redacted] replied that the issue is being traced. Again, several weeks went by, and on attempting to phone, no pickup. Again, emailed, of which the same [redacted] replied the vendor is now accepting multiple submissions and my magazine should arrive by July. Date came and passed, with no receipt. Having since submitted an order for Bicycling Magazine through a reliable vendor, and contacting Bicycling directly, they did have a subscription on file, but for 2 years, which was placed through other vendor, and that is all they show at my address. Last week, I emailed said [redacted] regarding a refund. Today, he replies with an absurd request of having my email him my credit card info. as the information is not kept in their system past 90 days. I'm sure you would agree that this is an OUTRAGEOUS request, and I am NOT emailing anyone my credit card information. I am seeking a refund from MagazinesUSA.com in the amount of $8.95, and wish to file a formal complain with the Revdex.com about this organization. Thank you for allowing my rant.

Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: A refund in the amount of $8.95 and a formal complaint logged and kept on file about MagazinesUSA.com

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and have explained in detail why his subscription was delayed: Subscription was resubmitted. Please allow 4 weeks for customer to receive 1st issue. Publisher was

rejecting all multiple term subscriptions until we convinced them process and keep us authorized, the files were delayed in the process. Since he did not wish to keep the subscription, we have offered to refund him the $8.95 in full, however, as we have explained, we do not keep credit card numbers on file (for the security of our customers) and in order to put a refund through, we do need the original card number that he used. We are trying to work with Mr. [redacted].

Review: Ordered a Magazine on Jan 2, 2014 and have yet to receive any issues

all contact leads to delay excuses and a later end date delivery might occurDesired Settlement: set a firm date to start service and keep it

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] directly- his order was initially rejected from the publisher due to an address error and was replaced already- he will receive the full 3 years as paid for.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

They keep saying this but no real action occurs, no magazines yet since subscription processed in January. They do not contact me, they do not respond and do not do anything real to address problem other than suggest wait longer

Review: On 9/7/2013, I placed an order for a 1-year subscription to ShopSmart Magazine and paid $17.83 (order #[redacted].) The subscription never started. They have ignored my emails. If you try to call customer service, the message just tells you to send an email which they then ignore. If you call and press #1 to place a new order, you get a human. As soon as you tell her that this is a customer service issue, she places you on hold indefinitely. If you call back, she does the same thing. I believe that this company is fraudulently advertising magazine subscriptions at cheap prices, and then not placing the subscriptions with the magazine companies. They are just keeping the money themselves. This is fraud, and this business should be shut down!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $17.83 that I paid to them.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted],

The first time we ever received any communication from you regarding your ShopSmart subscription was on 12/3/13, the day before you filed this complaint. We responded promptly to each and every email. We contacted the publisher who told us that your name is on a "Do Not Call" list for the 3rd party agency that fills these orders, and thus they would not fill your order. We then refunded you in full on 12/4/13, one day after you first contacted us.

Thank you.

Business

Response:

We first received a call on 12/3. We contacted our third party vendor that same day and the

next day they answered that “they were returning the order because this

customer is on the DO NOT CALL LIST and the publisher will not accept any

orders for her." We had not received the order in return before that, nor

were we aware that she was on a complaint list and that the vendor would not

submit an order for her. We refunded $17.00 which included our 4% refund charge

that is clearly stated on our website.

We apologize for the problem and ask that she please contact our customer service department directly, during regular 9-5 business hours, and we will continue to attempt to satisfy her.

Consumer

Response:

[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

1) I am not on a "complaint list" as stated by Magazines USA. I am on a Do-Not-Call list for telemarketers which should have nothing to do with filling my order for a magazine subscription! The fact that Magazines USA does not sell subscriptions to people on the government Do-Not-Call list was not disclosed at the time I paid for the subscription.

2) How can they possibly think that it is legal to accept money for goods, not deliver those goods, and then keep a 4% "refund charge." This can't be legal! It is another part of their scamming the public.

3) Although they invite customers to call their Customer Service phone line during business hours, they don't have a working Customer Service line. All they have is a recording machine that does not accept messages. They do everything they can to make it impossible for customers to contact them to get their money back when their scam is discovered.

You have my permission to post my complaint on the Revdex.com website to help warn others about the fraudulent activities taking place by Magazines USA.

Regards,

Review: I ordered a magazine subscription for Guns of the Old West on 12-22-14. I was supposed to receive the first issue by 04-06-15 or maybe 16 weeks at most. Both have passed but I haven't received a magazine. My e-mails and phone messages were never returned. I spoke to a lady on the phone on 04-28-15 who said they would check into it and let me know thru my contact information, phone, e-mail, mail. Still no reply.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or the magazine subscription I paid for.

Review: On 9/4/2014 I paid by credit card $13.95 for a one year subscription to Downeast magazine on their (magazinesusa.com) website. The order form said to wait up to 12 weeks for magazine to arrive. It has been much longer than that. I have tried to contact the company via email but have not received any reply. There is no phone number to reach them. I would like a refund of my charge if the magazine subscription cannot be honored.Desired Settlement: Refund the money.

Review: I ordered a magazine subscription from MagazinesUSA.com March 7th, 2014, as of July 9th, 2014, I have not received one issue. This is after many phone calls and emails to them. They have done nothing to correct the situation. My order number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund my money or deliver the magazine I paid for.
