Magazines USA Reviews (33)

Review: I ordered 7 magazines from Magazines USA on April 20, 2014 and I have not received 4 of those 7 as of August 15, 2014. When I call the 888 number Options #2 and #3 tell me to send an email and "goodbye" to which they don't return emails. Option #1 goes to voicemail every time. The female voice on the recordings is the same female voice for Option #1 to place an order.

I'm upset at the fact this is a business and offers a Customer Service phone number that tells me to email them and then says "goodbye" and hangs up.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the magazines I ordered, or my money back for those 4 magazines.

I also would like the business to offer a valid phone number where their customers can speak with a live agent to help resolve customer issues.

Review: On May 15, 2013 I purchased a one year subscription to ShopSmart Magazine and charged the purchase price to my Visa account. When I received the first magazine in August, I noticed the term of the subscription was for only six months. When I called ShopSmart (Consumer's Mag) I was told to contact Magazines USA or to call ###-###-####. At that number I was given a second number which was ###-###-####. At that number Sara said someone would call me back. When they did not, I called again and was given a third number ###-###-#### which only answered with a voice mail and I left a message. In the meantime I e-mailed Magazines USA - no response. So, in short, I am getting the run around. I am satisfied with the magazine subscription - I just want the full period for which I paid.Desired Settlement: All I want is the full one year subscription that I paid for!!

Review: I renewed my subscription to Time magazine for two years on 2/12/2013. I paid the full amount of $25.00 with my credit card on that date. The order number is [redacted]. The first of the weekly magazine was to arrive no later than 5/3/2013. I have not received any of the Time magazines. I've exchanged emails with customer service rep [redacted] on three occasions (5/21, 6/3, and 6/12) who refuses to cancel my order and send me a refund. Instead, [redacted] assures me that the problem will be rectified and the subscription will be processed. As you see its been over a month since I last heard from [redacted]. No magazines have arrived nor have I received any updates as to what is going on. I think three email exchanges is enough.Desired Settlement: Cancel my order and send a refund or have the magazine delivery start.

Regards,

Review: I ordered a magazine on Sept 13,2013 from their wedsite. On order page it states will not be delivered no later then Dec 23,2013. I have tried to contact them through phone with no answer ever. I have sent them many emails with only 1 response. They said they would track it for me. Have not heard back from them in over 1 week. I called the company directly who I was suppose to get the magazine from and they have no info on my subscription. My credit card was charged in Sept of 2013 and have not received anything. Very bad service and no product received.Desired Settlement: The order was for $8.95. That is all I am asking for is a refund. I have desputed it with my credit card company as well.

Business

Response:

We have authorized a refund for the magazine as our vendor had difficulty with the publisher of Runner's World and the magazine is very late in delivery. We apologize profusely and she will receive her refund as requested.

Regards,

Response from [redacted]. I hope they are true to there word with the refund. I dont know about late delivery as I contacted [redacted] and they have no record of this order. Which says to me it was never even given to them to process. They should think about how they work with there vendors to make orders complete as to not have this problem.

Review: paid for 2 yr subscription to "Down East Magazine" on 8/30/14. Was told 4-12 weeks before delivery. Waited 10 weeks and contacted MagazinesUSA and was told to wait

the 12 weeks and if not receiving by then to contact them. Waited 12+ weeks and still no magazine. Emailed MagazinesUSA and received NO response.

Contacted "Down East Magazine" and they have NO record of a subscription and that MagazinesUSA was NOT an authorized vendor.Desired Settlement: refund and NO further contact from MagazinesUSA

Review: Ordered subscription to Vanity Fair using credit card online. Approximately $32. Payment made via credit card on July 3, 2015. No magazine subscription received to date. The company dids not respond to 2 emai contacts. Called customer service number listed on website, but received voice mail for Jason, not Magazines USA.Desired Settlement: Full refund

that 1st issue not being sent UNTIL NOVEMBER 13TH...NOT August, not September, BUT NOVEMBER...the heck

with that kind of wait. Nowhere upon ordering does it state 2 1/2 months !! I called to cancel and issue me

Review: Almost 1.5 years ago, I ordered two expensive magazine subscription renewals through MagazinesUSA for [redacted], on 8/7/14 (paid $49.99 for a 1-year renewal, MagazinesUSA Confirm #: [redacted]) and 12/22/14 (paid $74.98 for a 2-year renewal, MagazinesUSA Confirm #: [redacted]), neither of which I have yet to receive. I have spent the last 6 months trying to get a response to several email inquiries but with no luck and now find myself filing a Revdex.com consumer complaint against MagazinesUSA for failure to make good on my 3-year subscription [redacted] subscription renewals and failure to refund $124.97 paid to MagazinesUSA.

This experience has been extremely disappointing as I have been a loyal customer of MagazinesUSA for years and had always found their customer service to be incredibly responsive and swift.Desired Settlement: I would like my [redacted] subscription to be renewed for an additional 3 years or a refund of $124.97.

Business

Response:

We will look into this issue immediately. Our systems do not show any correspondence with this customer going back at least 4 months which is when the new owners of MagazinesUSA assets were able to retrieve email inquiries. we will connect with the customer after the holiday at the latest.

Review: I ordered a [redacted] magazine subscription from [redacted] on May 5, 2014 in the amount of $5.00. I was to receive my first issue within 4-16 weeks. After the 16 weeks passed and not receiving the first issue I called [redacted] to inquire about the status of the magazine. I got an answering machine that said to send an email and someone would reply back. I have to this date not gotten a response to my emails nor a return phone call after calling and leaving several messages. I called the [redacted] magazine customer service and was informed that the magazine is no longer in print publication.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $5.00 credited back to my credit card I used for the subscription or a check refund.

Review: I ordered a magazine for my husband ([redacted] from Magazines USA via their website in August 2014. My credit card was charged $31.96 on 8/14/14 and a related account for this order appears on their website. My husband has never received any issues. We waited months and months and finally I inquired by email, and a customer service person responded in February 2015 saying that she would check the status of my order and get back with me, which has never happened. I have sent numerous follow-up emails, every single one of which has been ignored, and have called the company over and over and over again - - almost always the calls go to voice mail, despite which option I select, and no one ever returns my calls. I have only been able to speak with a live person on three occasions in the last few months. All of the women I talked to were very pleasant and were able to call up my account without any problem. The first person I spoke to said that she would check the status of my order; the second took my credit card number and said she would immediately process a refund; the third person said she would check the status of my order/refund. And now it is a few weeks later and I do not have a refund and all my calls go to voicemail. No one answers my voice mail inquiries or responds to my emails, it doesn't matter how many calls I make or how many emails I send. Can you PLEASE help me get this resolved? I would like a full $31.96 refund for a product that was never delivered.Desired Settlement: I would like Magazines USA to give me a full $31.96 refund for a product that was never delivered.

Review: I have renewed my subscription to Model Railroader magazine several times through this company with no problems. My last renewal was paid for on 5/29/2015, order [redacted], through this same company and to this date 12/11/2015 the publisher has not received it. I have called 4 times during this time frame about this and have been given various excuses. The last two times they said the information has been sent to the publisher, which they have not received. I have been told by them once that I should start receiving the magazine in October, then again they said November. My original subscription has expired a couple months ago.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the subscription activated as with the January issue and continue for the one year that I have paid for. If that cannot be done I request a full refund of my $27.03

Business

Response:

We will check with the publisher this week and find out the start date. as far as we can tell it should be starting with the January issue. we will confirm this week.SupportMagsUSA
