My whole experience with major Hyundai has been nothing but bad right from the beginning the sales people harass you they lied to me about the monthly payment to the vehicle they stole $2,500 from me for a downpayment for a vehicle that I never got and nobody will help you when you go in there to ask them about it

November 16, 2015This is our response to your follow up regarding [redacted],[redacted] had come in to make a purchase of a vehicle. His original request of a vehicle was not able to be met but told him we would keep working on it and he gave a $250.00 deposit to hold the car while that was done and...

he left, We continued to work on securing a loan at his request and were able to do so. The target payment for him was a payment under $300.00 per month. The lowest payment we were able to secure was $342.00 per month. We explained to [redacted] that we do not actually loan the money or control the interest rate or terms of auto loans, that is done by the lenders and that was the best loan we could secure for him,He declined to purchase the vehicle and was refunded the deposit of $250,00 in full at that time. Please feel free to contact me if I may be of any other assistance in this matter.Sincerely,Nadder N. General Manager

I purchased a preowned Hyundai Sante Fe 2009 with 53497 miles on it. On 4/1/15 I brought Hyundai in because of tire light on in vechile..New tire $164.77. On 9/26/15 I brought tire in for oil change, I needed rear brakes $260.97, On 2/27/16 I brought Hyundai in for state inspection, it failed, WHAT!!! They told me I needed a right front Strut, I didn't even know what that was it would cost me $399.00, I said no, I am calling my husband, please can I have the car back. On 3/8/16 I brought the car to P & S garage for inspection, it passed. He told me I needed a right strut and front brakes in the summer. I paid $36.06 for inspection. On 4/5/16 I brought Hyundai into P & S for strut repair, they charged me $252.38. Now I am angered and feel like Hyundai really took advantage of me. I complain to me and they want to fix this, only to take advantage of me a second time, now I am furious. On 4/9/16 I purchase 2014 Cherokee Patriot Jeep with 18526 miles on it, tell them I want same payment as Hyundai and same terms. I was paying $309.00 per month, now I will paying 356.00 per month, I say OK, but please to not cash this $3000.00 down payment till 4/14/16, my pay day. I go over new vechile with insurance company only to find out that Hyundai is finaning me for 84 months and 60 as I was before. I tell them I want to return vechile. They say No, a deal is a deal, I say I will stop payment and call my attorney and drop this vechile back. They are taking advantage of people....

I have read the reply from Major Hyundai, some of their claim is not true, the car broke down, I took it to them, I met the general manager who told me the service has closed for the day and I will hear from them earlier in the morning. they gave me a curtsey ride home because they said they didn't have any loaner car for me. the next day I waited for their call but they called my job instead, I called them back and they told me they will check on it and let me know. I didn’t hear from them till 4pm and they told me is battery and that my warranty don't cover and not even the extended warranty. The general manager in his response said they offered me a discount and I signed the paper to let them put the battery in. It is not true. After they told me that I have to pay for the battery I told them not to do it and I will be in to pick up the car. I called the next day for a ride and they sent a lady to pick me up. when I got there, Scott the service man, told me I owe them  $175 or so, for the battery. I told him I told them not to put it in so they took the battery off and I took the car home. I  put a new battery Inn myself and was still having the same problem so I sent it back to them 7/11/16,they checked and said it is still the battery and refused to give me a ride to go and pick up the car, so I was there today 7/15/16 to let them put their battery in. I paid  $249 for it.

Review: On/or around February 13th my daughter [redacted] went to purchase a car at this dealer. She signed a contract and was given the keys to the vehicle but not given a copy of the contract pending a note they required from her employer to verify she would be getting a raise and working 30 hours instead of 24. She explained she didn't know when she wuld get the raise or 30 hours but it was promised to her. The next day her emplyer was warned by their lawyer of the implications of signing such an agreement without knowing exactly when this would take place. My daughter called and informed the dealer of this and he told her to come down and they would work it out. I later got a call from my daughter asking me if I could come down to co-sign and I agreed I would. My daughter then asked for my social security number. When I got to Major Hyundai they were still working on getting her approved and said they had an idea that was I could get the car for her. At this point I realized they had sent my information to several banks for me to be the owner of the car. I told them I never said I would be the woner solo, only the cosignor. They gave my daughter her trade car keys back and took the vehicle saying it was only hers if she had gotten the letter from her employer. We left and later went to my own car dealer. While there I found out Major Hyundai had sent 19 applications to banks in my name without my authorization or signature. Even the day after my daughter returned the keys and was given her trade back they were still running applications in my name unauthorized. I called and complained to the sales manager and her said it was normal practice and he assumed I understood. I said I never authorized it and to stop running applications in my name immediately. As far as I'm concerned this is definitely an unethical practice.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE BUSINESS CONSIDER THEIR UNETHICAL PRACTICES, APOLOGIZE AND OFFER SOME RESTITUTION.

I am rejecting this response because: I never signed anything to have my credit ran and was not present when my credit was ran which means I wasn't informed of the procedure of over 19 banks that got me credit information and my credit score now suffers approximately a 100 point drop. Also, I was never informed the dealership was trying to secure a loan in my name ALONE, when I said I was on my way in to COSIGN with my daughter. I do agree that they had my daughter enter my social security number on line in my absence.
