Major League Collision Reviews (22)

The initial view on this company would have been pleasant, However we received three quotes before choosing what company to go with. Major League was not the cheapest but I decided to give them a chance if they could come down a little on their price. Originally quoted $4400 and I asked them if they could come down to $4200 out the door. They agreed and we even shook hands on it. Everything up to this point was going great. After they had my commercial vehicle for a week, I got a call from them saying it was going to cost an additional $1400 due to additional damage that they claim they could not initially see. It seems odd that after they have my vehicle completely torn apart that they suddenly decide they need to increase their price. Not like I had much of a choice so of course I agreed. I mean they offered to charge me to put everything back together again but the was not really an option. So if you enjoy bait and switch techniques give this company your business.

Review: Major league had my daughters mercedes for repair after an accident. Initially it was with dependable auto body but they went out of business and the former owner, [redacted] moved to major league collision with my daughters vehicle to finish repairs. Upon completion of the vehicle, the ac went out. I double checked what was billed to the insurance company as to the actual work completed. A majority of the work that was billed to the insurance company was never in fact completed such as new fenders, new serpentine belt, new pulley just to name a few. I have documented proof from two reputable repair facilities to substantiate my claim. I will be seeking legal recourse through the civil system to include the licensing board, attorney general and/or civil litigation if they do not pay for the repairs they were supposed to do originally. I notified [redacted] of the problem and was told to do what I have to do.Desired Settlement: I will not take back to this facility, major league needs to pay for the repairs to the mercedes dealership.

Response:

[redacted] Mercades was brought in from Dependable autobody to finish repairs not complete from there facility on 3/15/15, we rewrote a estimate based on what was needed to get it drivable. Major league collision was paid from [redacted] for all the repairs we performed with some parts that he purchased out of pocket, others we purchased as provided from our estimate. We have never dealt with the insurance company on this vehicle as our understanding [redacted] cashed the insurance check and paid for repairs. The only issue we had when [redacted] picked up is car was a defective fan assembly that was replaced and he drove his vehicle off the property on 6/17/15, We had nothing to do with any prior arrangements from any other shop and only completed what was asked to based on the estimate provided, [redacted] can call his Insurance company to have any additional repairs covered since he dictated how his repairs where completed, We stand behind our work!

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was never provided an estimate for anything from major league. Besides the faulty fan that was replaced twice supposedly, the abs and brake lights went on while I was supposed to be picking up on the 16th. The car was supposedly taken to repair facility to correct, but the light came back on within 24 hours. Im glad they stand behind their work, should be no problemmajor league paying for the repairs. When the vehicle leaves their facility, I would assume that means it has their quality control measures in place, obviously not the case. Please provide me a copy of your estimate I signed authorizing you to complete the work.
