 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
In reviewing their response, there are several things that
stated that are not true.   I was fully aware that
the truck was sold as is, but I wasn’t aware of any structural or frame damage
to the vehicle and none was noted in their ad, when I looked at the vehicle or
during the auction when I purchased it on March 20.   I had no issues taking care of mechanical issues
with the truck, but undisclosed frame damage is not something that any customer
should be faced with or have to take care of not only from the cost of
repairing the damage but for what it does to the value of the vehicle and
its safety should there be another accident.  Anyone who looked at the truck could see it had been in an accident since there was un-repaired damage to the front of the vehicle.
The dealership stated that days after I purchased the
vehicle I contacted them to state that I found the frame damage.  That is not true.  I contacted them on March 21 in person and
was told by the supervisor on duty that I would have to deal with Theo and he
would not be in until Monday (this was on Saturday).  I went in on Monday March 23 to speak with
Theo about the frame issues as well as other concerns.  As stated
prior, they would not refund the money but offered to consign the vehicle and
in their consignment never noted that it had structural or frame damage.  When the truck didn’t sell on consignment, I
spoke with Theo again and they then offered to have their Woodbridge store take
care of the structural issues with the frame.
I was told by Theo that they had a full service body shop at their
Woodbridge store and that they even did insurance work.  I was never provided with any specifications
when the truck came back in terms of frame or alignment.  The truck was not sent to [redacted] at this time.   As noted prior, when I asked if I could take
the truck to another body shop to verify the work and was told that my original
30 day tags were dead and they couldn’t let me use their dealer tag.
I agreed to take the truck back on May 6, since it looked
better and I took their word on the repairs and proceeded to begin fixing it
up.  After performing front end and
suspension work, I took the truck to a dealer to have a front end alignment
performed on June 3.  I asked them to
elaborate on why the truck wasn’t able to be aligned properly and was pulling
left and that is when they stated that the bumper had been shifted, the coil
spring had been pushed back in the bucket and that there was likely frame
damage.  I then spoke with Theo and he
agreed to have their Woodbridge Store look at it with a list of the frame
related issues.  I dropped the truck off
for a week and was told as noted before that the frame was “in specs” and again
received no documentation to support this and they had sent the truck to [redacted] to
look at.  The [redacted] invoice showed that
none of the frame/structural issues were noted, only that the truck was pulling
left.
I found out after the fact that [redacted] performed an alignment
that was not within specs to get the truck to stop pulling since the truck had
been damaged.  I also had the truck put
on a frame machine at a collision repair center.  The body shop confirmed the frame damage and
they provided the estimate which is where the figure came from for compensation
that I am requesting.  After I had the
truck at Woodbridge Public Auto Auctions repair facility, Bill stated that they
don’t have a fully body shop and their equipment is limited and they do NOT do
insurance work so everything I had been told about that facility from Manassas
Public Auto Auction was essentially a lie.
[redacted] is not a collision repair shop and using them as a crutch to
compensate for a vehicle with frame damage is fraudulent. How can you say that you’ve put something
within specs if you can’t show the specs or that the truck is within specs on
paper?  I’ve since taken the truck to another
alignment facility to have them check the alignment that [redacted] performed and
confirmed that the alignment is way out of specs on the left side for caster
and toe. The dealership should take responsibility for repairing the undisclosed frame and structural damage properly since the vehicle wasn't represented as having this damage, which differs from your standard "as-is" vehicle with cosmetic or mechanical issues.
I am providing copies of the following to substantiate
everything I’ve noted (with personal information redacted):
2.    1.
Original Alignment Specs from the dealership I attempted to have the alignment performed at and
their follow up notes on why the truck was pulling to the left and couldn’t be
aligned.  This was provided to Theo in
June.
3.   2.
Cover sheet for my drop off at [redacted] in June
4.   3.
Document I provided when I dropped the truck off
stating the frame/structural related issues I asked for f/up on and didn't receive
5.  4.
[redacted] invoice alignment sheet which shows their specs
totally in contrast with the original alignment shops (separate documents from the other files)
6.   5.
Estimate from the body shop showing the frame
damage and estimate to repair it properly
7.   6.
Current alignment specs sheet from another
alignment facility that I just had checked to verify that [redacted]’s work was not
done properly

2006 [redacted] Notes/Questions
1. After rebuilding entire front end, took to dealer to align the truck. They were unable to bring it into specs with the worst area being the left side caster. The truck pulls to the left. Had dealer take another...

look at it and their assessment was:Accident damage/frame issues causing the problem. The wheel is pushed back on the left closer to the back of the fender. The coil spring is also pushed back in its housing.2. Right side frame rail - the square mounting area that the bumper brackets mount to is about a 1/2 inch pushed in closer to the core support over the drivers side. Can that be pulled so that everything is good when the front bumper brackets that are bent are eventually replaced?3. The fender on the passenger side sits pushed out where it meets the door and the drivers side is sucked in in the same place. The drivers door has a bad wind leak at speed where the a pillar area is. Concern is that the body is tweaked on it - can you possibly have a look and verify or address?4. Is the body pushed over on the body mounts in the front from the accident?5. The passenger side fender is pushed in near the front where the truck was hit - can that be pulled?6. Are the hood hinges bent? Trying to figure out how to realign the hood properly and it appears that they could be the culprit. Thanks so much for your help with this!

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I feel as a business they should of known that the car motor was not great and shouldn't of sold it. I'm not asking for them to take the car but they should pay at least half or all of the cost that it cost me to get the motor fixed. I paid for it and it didn't even last a week for me. I didn't take it any where besides in the area I live([redacted], va) and where I work([redacted], va). It ran hot on the day I had brought it coming home from manassas. I had wait just about a year to get it fix. I didn't have a car for a year almost before I got to drive it again. I had to use my mom car to get back and fourth to work and doctor appt. and get my kids to schools.

I am rejecting this response because:why after I pay 1800$ for the car would I wanna give more money to that company. Bad enough I paid 1800 and the car didn't work on my way home than not even a week later the motor blew. And I was advised by another mechanic that the motor shouldn't of blown unless ya did something to the motor. The company was suppose to be only fixing the water pump or whatever!
