Manwin Billing US Corp Reviews (26)

Review: I signed up for a service called MrFacial. The service did not work as desired so I immediately called to cancel the service I had just signed up for. They sent me a cancellation notice via email. Fast forward 5 months and I notice that they are still charging me $39.97 per month, but hidden under the name "Epoch". I called to get a refund, as these charges were not for services I signed up for. The service representative informed me that when I signed up for the MrFacial service, they had opted me in without my knowing for a second service called brazzers.com - I was unaware they were signing me up for a second service. This second service had a monthly charge of $39.97. The company refused to credit the charges back to my account when I finally noticed the charges from "Epoch"- they said it was my fault and I should have detected, in the fine print, that I was signing up for 2 services with the one form. This is a typical online scam.

This company may also be hiding behind the company name of "Epoch" Payment Services (which is the name on an email that charged me for the above brazzers.com) . After researching for Epoch Payment Services I could find no company with such a name. The owner of Brazzers, which the deceptive charges are from, is owned by a man named [redacted]. A little bit of research will show you that this deceptive practice is how he has built his business.Desired Settlement: Refund of $159.88 for the 4 months of fraudulent charges. And, considering the massive amounts of complaints of the same type, I would like to see the service to be terminated. Consumers need to be protected from fraud masquerading as a legitimate service.

Response:

We have reviewed the account In question and It appears there is some information missing in the complaint submitted to you:

• A second membership was sold, but was clearly offered as a preselected checkbox on the join page for the website; this offer was accepted by the customer

• The full Information for both website subscriptions was emailed to the customer immediately after joining in two separate emails

• The name appearing on the charges was a dfscreet billing descriptor that stated "Epoch", which is the name of the billing company processing the charges for the websites; their contact information Is clearly listed on the websites (www.epoch.com) and the welcome email sent to the customer

• On April 25, 2014, the customer contacted Epoch to inquire about the charges and was refunded the amounts in question

Our hope is that the customer understands that the terms of the memberships purchased were clearly outlined, the opt-out feature is a common offer on website subscriptions, and that his continued business is valued. We invlte you to contact us at [redacted] should you require more information.

Thank you,

Review: Deceptive practices. When signing up for rk.com two accounts are created, and it's never made clear that canceling one doesn't cancel the other. Their support is completely unwilling to help with the issue, and it appears this is how they intend to make money, through deception. Desired Settlement: I would simply like a refund for a service that was canceled and won't be used.

Review: I cancelled the billing and account from them and they charged me $9.99 after I cancelled the account. This transaction was made on 03/11/15 and I cancelled the account before that date which was 0n 03/07/15 and therefore they cannot bill me after I cancelled the account. I spoke to a representative and she stated that she cannot find the transaction being processed in her computer. Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $9.99 that they have taken out when I cancelled my account

Review: I subscribed to a website for one month, and cancelled before the end of the month. Without realizing it, I was signed up for a second website. I know how websites like this work... they like to hide a box somewhere that's already checked in hopes that you won't see it. I am very careful to look for these boxes, and "offers" any time I make an online purchase of any sort. I contacted a Nathalie on chat support to report the issue. She said I was automatically signed up for both at the same time, and I had the offer before I was charged. AFTER I was charged, I was given an option to buy the premium website. If I'm already a member of both websites automatically, then why would it offer me to upgrade to site that i'm already a member of? I asked for a refund, and she refused outright. I told here I made the attempt to cancel previously, and thought it was over and done with. I cancelled the membership the day I was charged, and have not accessed the site since I was rebilled. I have made sure NOT TO ACCESS the content that I am trying to get a refund for, as I do not want it. I calmly told her if they would not be willing to refund me I would contact the Revdex.com, and she immediately ended the chat conversation. I feel they were not clear enough, that I was being charged for two websites "automatically". I let them know that, and their basic attitude about the situation was "oh well", and it they put it fairly bluntly. Thank you very muchDesired Settlement: $29.95 refunded to account

I called the company for technical support when their promotional ads prevented my access to pay sites. Their technician demanded credit card and personal information to troubleshoot the problem

Review: Hello Revdex.com,I purchased a three day trial subscription for $1 from an affiliate of Playboy magazine titled playboy plus found at [redacted] I canceled my subscription at the end of the trial period and was still charged a monthly fee of $39.95. When I contacted the company I was put in touch with a company titled ProBiller out of Ireland. The company refused to reverse the charges. I was contacted shortly thereafter by my bank stating that a company (pb-biller.com) was attempting to make multiple charges on my account, the other was charge was denied by my bank. I contacted the company once again only to find out that unbeknownst to me that I was signed up for two services and my account was still not canceled.Desired Settlement: Refund $39.95

Response:

We have reviewed the account in question and it appears there may have been a misunderstanding of

what was purchased by the customer. This Is an overview of what took place:

• A $1.00 2-day trial membership that converts to a full subscription for $39.95 If not canceled

after 48 hours

• The terms of this trial membership are clearly written on the website before the member confirmed the purchase

• A second promotional $1.00 3-day trial membership (converting to full subscription for $40.00 If not cancelled) to a second website was offered and accepted at the same time as the first trial

• This second website is clearly offered with an option to refuse, and the terms of the trial are again clearly outlined on the web page before the customer confirmed the purchase

The customer contacted our 24/7 customer care department after the 72 hour pertod had passed. The first account had successfully upgraded, and the second account had not successfully upgraded due to a declined transaction. As per the Terms and Conditions of the membership agreed to upon sign..up, the member was not entitled to a refund for the subscription that had upgraded. The customer care representative that helped the customer with his account offered a discounted membership as a courtesy for the misunderstanding. The customer asked to discontinue service on this membership, which was executed.

In good faith, We have refunded the $39.95 charge that was requested by the customer. Our hope is that the customer understands that the terms of the membership purchased were clearly outlined, and that his continued business is valued. We invite you to contact us at 1800 276 6048 should you require more information.
