InventionHome chose to deactivate Mr***'s account and terminate our relationship effective immediately due to the nature of the email below sent to one our employees Mr***'s email would make the business relationship between InventionHome and the client impossible to
sustain.___________________From:*** *** [***] Sent:Sunday, May 14, 5:PM To:Karen K*** Subject:Re: *** ***Yes! Thank you! I just can't stand people like you who don't have anything between their earsAnd yes, it's best continue communication through Emily because you must haveinherit stupidity and also it would be nice to have a law to take a person like you out back and shotI'm not doing this to scare you or hurt your feeling which I doubt you have any and I never apologize to people who don't pay attention or get it.Sent from my iPhone Additionally, Mr*** agreed to InventionHome’s Service Agreement (see attached document) on 5/16/stating all sales are final and non-refundable (paragraph 9), and we reserve the right to terminate services at any time with a client (paragraph 12).Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I'm not satisfied and their further denial of wrong doing is ridiculousI would like a break down of what I was charged because I agreed to And that is not what I was charged which is illegal. Regards,

Please find attached our response to Ms***'s complaint, which was emailed directly to her on 5/23/after she voiced her dissatisfaction directly to InventionHomeMs***'s initial complaint indicated she would be contacting the Revdex.com, as well as other consumer complaint-type platforms, if
we did not refund her money, however, these is no merit to her refund request As the attached letter clearly indicates, all paid services were completed and approved of by Ms*** and marketing is essentially done at no cost and without any type of guarantees that a licensing agreement will be secured As per Ms***'s request, all materials were returned to her via certified mail, however, the package is being held in a federal express facility as due to no one available to sign for the package when the delivery attempts occurredThe package will be held in the facility for business daysPlease feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions

Ms*** *** purchased a Motorcycle Insurance policy with Markel American Insurance Company (MAIC) on August 21, 2014. Upon purchase, she chose not to purchase uninsured and underinsured liability coverages. Per insurance regulations, MAIC notified Ms*** that signed coverage
rejection forms were needed in order to fulfill this request, or MAIC would be obligated to add those specific coverages to the policy back to the original policy effective date. Ms*** was sent several notifications that these forms were needed. In addition, Ms*** was sent an endorsement notification of the added uninsured and underinsured coverages that resulted from the absence of signed coverage rejection forms. This endorsement notification was sent to her address on file on 9/22/14, and an invoice for the additional premium due was sent to Ms*** on 9/23/14
Ms*** has indicated within her complaint that she returned the signed coverage rejection forms in September 2014. Markel has no record of receiving these forms in September 2014. Upon receiving a cancellation notice sent on 1/15/15, Ms*** contacted Markel’s Customer Service department and our representatives worked with Ms*** to get new signed forms on file. We have removed the coverages and refunded the premium due back to the original policy effective date as a result of receiving the appropriate forms. Ms***’s policy is currently in good standing with no premium due until her policy is ready for annual renewal
We hope that this has resolved Ms***’s complaint and appreciate the opportunity to service her motorcycle insurance needs

In looking over Mr. [redacted]’s account, InventionHome did a great deal of work on his product.  To summarize, we sent his product to 65 companies for review.  This is a great deal of companies, unfortunately, none have expressed interest at this time, but we are continuing to follow up with...

ones to which we have already introduced the product. Additionally, we have featured Mr. [redacted]’s product as a “May we Suggest” contact over 90 times and continue to host it on our iShowOnline. We will continue to market the product as long as there is valid patent protection on it.    I would like to clarify the fees that Mr. [redacted] paid to InventionHome were for services provided, not for the marketing.  The patent search, provisional patent application and development of a website are all tangible services.  Regarding the marketing of the website, we do that on contingency.    As our marketing information explains, the MAP Report acts as representation of the marketing department’s progress for as long as working with us. It is updated on a monthly basis, but a customer will receive immediate contact if there is interest in their product, specific feedback, or questions we cannot properly answer. This report will show updates on attempts to contact and quantify the amount of companies to which we are presenting the product. This is the same information that is available in our database and can be viewed at any time by the customer.    Additionally, Mr. [redacted] was provided with and agreed to our Service Agreement during the online setup process.  To reiterate language contained in this document, “Client acknowledges that Jacob does not evaluate product potential, express opinions on product marketability or guarantee the success or patentability of client’s product and that client’s decision to pursue product is based on his/her own belief in product potential.  Client acknowledges that Jacob did not make any claims or express opinions asserting the likelihood of marketability, success or patentability of client’s product. We understand the marketing/licensing process can be frustrating.  Unfortunately, InventionHome cannot control companies’ interest in Mr. [redacted]’s, or anyone else’s, products.  We can only make sure that we provide our inventors with the best invention portfolio possible and the most chances to be seen by relevant companies that we can. Please feel free to contact me should you require any further information.

In response to the letter written by Invention home the first paragraph states I never complained of their services, this is a Lie. I complained by phone to Jared R[redacted] in December of 2015 about the marketing policies and that he did not verbally or in writing inform me before I signed up with the program. This was to the point of a argument. I guess Mr. R[redacted] has a poor memory!! He stated why I was complaining to him and stated I should talk to Cindy A[redacted] my account manager. I complained to Jared R[redacted] because he signed me up, not Cindy. I did also complain to Cindy A[redacted] a few times in 2016 about the maketing policy at the same time checking on the progress or interest in my back machine. In response to stating their maketing policy is "ETHICAL", this is a joke! If the policy was ethical they would have told me up front before I paid my money. The funny thing about that is probably most people would NOT sign up if this was expressed up front. No they have to put it in fine writing in the contract.  Bottom line I don't care if I receive my money back I know I have been ripped off. This company should be exposed for what they are, which is deceiving. I still don't know who they marketed my product to or if they ever marketed the product at all. There is absolutely no proof!! BUYER be ware for anyone who is considering Invention Home, DON't DO IT.Regards,

[redacted]   WHEN I CALLED HOME INVENTION ,I TOLD THEM THAT ON THE ONE INVENTION I HAD ALL READY HAD PAYED FOR AND RECEIVED A PATENT ON IT  AND BY THE WAY IT WILL SOON HAVE TO BE RENEWED  THE  OTHER ONE I DID NOT GET A PATENT ON IT WHEN I CALLED THEM THE VARY FIRST TIME THEY SAID THAT THE MONEY I HAD TO PAY WOULD COVER EVERY THING AND THEN LATER ON THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR A LAWYER AND IF YOU CAN GET A RECORDING OF THAT CONVERSATION YOU WILL FIND THAT TO BE TRUE

Response to Ms. [redacted] Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]As noted in our phone conversation with the Bureau on January 5, 2015, the insurer issuing coverage to Ms. [redacted] is Markel American Insurance Company. On October 19, 2014 Ms. [redacted] purchased a motorcycle insurance policy with Markel...

American Insurance Company (“MAIC”).  The information provided to MAIC at the time of the purchase indicated that Ms. [redacted] carried a valid motorcycle endorsement, and had no applicable accidents or moving violations on her record.  Based on this information MAIC issued a policy.  As a part of the normal underwriting process, MAIC requested  a Motor Vehicle Record for Ms. [redacted] and discovered that there were inaccuracies in the information provided at time of application.  MAIC notified Ms. [redacted] that the premium would be  adjusted to reflect the change in the risk being insured. On November 25, 2014, Ms. [redacted] called MAIC’s Customer Service team to cancel her motorcycle insurance policy due to the increased premium.  Her policy was canceled effective that day.  Ms. [redacted] was told at the time that any unearned premium would be refunded to her in the next few weeks. The policy issued Ms. [redacted] allows for 90% pro rata unearned premium refund when policy cancellation is at the insureds request.   The portion of premium owed MAIC for 37 days of coverage and the additional 10% unearned premium amounts to $481.00.  This pro-rata rating procedure is approved by the Virginia Department of Insurance, and is a common practice across most motorcycle insurers.   Ms. [redacted] had paid $352.30 therefore there was no unearned premium to be refunded. We appreciate having the opportunity to insure Ms. [redacted] and are disappointed that she was unable to keep her policy with us.

Upon further review of the misunderstanding Ms. [redacted] had in regards to when the policy premium would be drafted, we have made an exception to refund the $20.68 in question. The refund was made on 10/27/16 and put back on the same card it was originally withdrawn from.

The monies paid to InventionHome were for our services.  No other fees were due.  The attached Work Verification, which was agreed to on 1/30/2017, clearly states the provisional patent application allows for one year of patent pending status and, after such time, the customer must decide if they would like to pursue additional patent protection.  If additional patent protection is desired, the customer would need to contact and work with a licensed patent firm/attorney since InventionHome is not able to file a non-provisional patent application.  Fees would only be due to the patent firm if the customer chooses to pursue additional patent protection.  If any other documentation is required, please let me know.

Once again I do not except there response. I had my endorsement which a picture of it is attached. I had insurance for a month and seven days, the amount they charged is outragious and not whatI agreed too. They told me when I cancelled that the unused amount would be refunded to me, then they overcharged me so I would lose the money that is rightfully mine. They also tried several times to take additional money out of my account. I heard nothing but horrible stories about this company, and I honestly regret ever getting insurance from them. I believe they are scamming people and I am not allowing them to do this to me.

Mr. [redacted] became a customer of InventionHome in December 2015 and work was completed on his Invention Portfolio Website in May 2016. Since then, InventionHome has submitted his product to 85 companies.  We are committed to providing a good service to our customers and work extremely hard...

marketing products.  Unfortunately, we do not have any control over which products get interest from companies.  We have done quite a bit of work on his behalf, however, no companies have shown any interest as of yet. Mr. [redacted] claims in his complaint that he has not had contact with anyone on our staff; however, in reviewing phone records, Mr. [redacted] has been in contact with his assigned Customer Account Manager 10 times since marketing efforts started on his product, and the most recent contact was on 4/26/2017 in which Mr. [redacted] notified his Customer Account Manager of his plans to do some self-marketing on his product.  Mr. [redacted]’s self-marketing efforts are encouraged, as getting his product in front of as many companies as possible is in his best interest, and InventionHome has continued our own marketing efforts on behalf of Mr. [redacted]. InventionHome is committed to resolving customer complaints; however, at no point did Mr. [redacted] communicates his dissatisfaction with our services, he has been in continuous contact with our staff, and his refund request does not have any merit.  Additionally, all monies paid to InventionHome were for the creation of his portfolio site, not for marketing, as those are done on a contingency basis. If any further information is required, please feel free to contact me. Marcia V[redacted] Director, Customer Operations

Invention Home did not make an attempt to market my product on a One-on-One basis.  Based on the customer login dashboard, you can tell they submit Inventions in a BATCH via email to these companies they claim to have a contract with.INVENTION HOME DOES NOT REACH OUT TO THESE COMPANIES ON A PERSONAL BASIS AT ALL!!Again, their method used is copy & paste to the Dashboard every 3 weeks to fool the consumer (Me) into thinking they are personally contacting these companies, working diligently to market my Invention, when in fact THEY ARE NOT! This is true deception, and as a operating business, if they know each Invention portfolio WILL NOT be marketed on a one-on-one basis to specific companies, they should have disclosed that in the very beginning instead of ripping people off of their hard working money.   This is not only false advertising, but FRAUD as well. Again, I am asking for a full refund of my $1598.00 (total amount paid for portfolio) but am willing to accept half a refund ($799.00). Thank you

We have reached out to this customer via email, see attached.Additionally, in good faith, we had a patent search done on his product idea at no cost, see attached.A call was scheduled to discuss but the customer did not respond nor return the call.

I can assure you that the services that you paid for are in no way a "scam" and I believe that I will be able to clear everything up for you by going over some information. First, I can understand your disappointment that your product has not been licensed.  However, the entire...

invention process, even when you have a good team marketing the product for you, and a fantastic game plan is a gamble.  The rate of success with new products is 3-5% in the very best of circumstances.  This is why our paperwork cautions an inventor that there are absolutely no guarantees as to if we will be able to find them a deal or not.  This information was communicated to you in the Service Agreement that you agreed to on 6/2/2016. After reviewing your account, it likes like we sent your product to over 144 companies. This is a great deal of companies, unfortunately, none have expressed interest.  At no point does InventionHome promise that your product will get a deal.  We cannot control a company's decision about any given product; however, you can be sure that you are working with a company that has a successful track record in helping inventors navigate this challenging process, and we do promise our commitment to providing you with a quality marketing tool and your product with as many opportunities to be evaluated by companies as possible. The success of your invention is important to you (and to us) and I can understand your desire to be in contact with us regularly concerning its progress in marketing.  As it states in the information provided to you in the marketing section of your online account, it is not possible for our marketing team to call or personally email thousands of inventors on a monthly basis because this would greatly take away from their time and ability to focus on getting your invention marketed to as many companies as they can.  The MAP report tool that you have access to in your account is our marketing department’s way to efficiently and effectively keep our inventors updated on the status of their invention on a monthly basis. Additionally, you are always welcome to contact your Customer Account Manager or the marketing department directly with any questions or concerns. The email that was sent to you regarding additional patent protection was sent as a courtesy reminder that your provisional application is expiring soon and that you need to consider additional patent protection.  As the email clearly states, InventionHome does not prepare non-provisional patent applications, therefore, any questions would have to be directed to a patent attorney.  I would like to clarify the fees that you paid to InventionHome were for services provided.  The development of your website is a tangible service, and that's what we provided to you.  Regarding the marketing of your website, we do that on contingency.  Meaning, you do not pay us unless we successfully license your product (that's where the 20% commission comes in).   I hope I was able to answer your questions and clarify the issues.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This company seem to have an answer for EVERY COMPLAINT brought against them simply because they are defrauding honesthard working Americans like myself out of their money.  They tell every potential 'Inventor" Yes! you have a brilliant Idea",do a quick fake scan to see if there are any products like yours currently on the market, rush you to buy an expensive marketingportfolio, then BAM! DISAPPEAR, avoid emails and any further questions you have about your Marketing status. I want a FAIR & Quick resolution to this because I just want to move on with my life, and pretend I didn't make a fool out of myselfby trusting these individuals.  AGAIN, I AM ASKING FOR A FULL REFUND OF MY MARKETING PORTFOLIO, BUT I AM WILLING TO SETTLE FOR HALF OF THE PORTFOLIO PRICE I PAID!!!

My view to the matter is that Jocob Enterprise, Inc/InventionHome.com neglected on working on my invention toward the achievement of my invention. If Jocob Enterprise, Inc/ InventionHome.com decide to work on my invention toward the achievement of my invention, I will sincerely dismiss the complaint against Jocob Enterprise, Inc/InventionHome.com.                                                                                   Regards,

Unfortunately, InventionHome failed to respond to our complaint.  The dispute has nothing to do with the creation of a portfolio, the dispute focuses on their failure to verify they have followed through with the service they claim to provide.  InventionHome sold us a service which claims to approach multiple companies they supposedly have relationships with and market our product to these companies.  InventionHome has failed to give any evidence whatsoever they have followed through with the service they claim to have provided. They refuse to provide any proof whatsoever they followed through with their claims.
