[redacted] bought the ad on 1.15.14 to be placed in a [redacted] on Whitaker in [redacted]. It took [redacted] 4 months to approve his artwork and he was installed on 5.19.14. [redacted] had later stated...

that the ad went missing and we had reprinted and reinstalled. He had then stated that his ad was not visible due to a [redacted] poster being placed in front of it. The poster is a very thin stand that [redacted] puts in all of their locations. We have instructed our operations to move it and they did multiple times. We talked to the store manager as to keeping it out of the ads way but we cannot control what the workers of [redacted] do. Prime National was still visible but [redacted] did not like the placement. To make up for his un-satisfaction, we have given him way more than the contracted time (7 months) and he is still up (an extra 7 months) that is double what he had paid for. Unfortunately we cannot give a refund being as we had produced the ad and printed 2 times as well as given him an extra 7 months of advertising. We have done everything in our power to help accommodate [redacted] with reprints and extra time but we cannot control what people put in front of his ad.
Also, [redacted] did not pay $1200, he paid $945 for 7 months. (Please see attached photo and contract)

Review: We contracted with Market Media Group in March to place a stand with or ad at the Ralph's located at 2930 E 4th St in Long Beach. We met with the representative to discuss the exact placement, time frame, contract terms and what to expect. We were guaranteed that the sign would be placed directly outside both entrances with nothing inbetween the sign and the entrance. The contract was signed and the fist payment was made on 2/8/14 and the final payment was made 3/5/14. The sign was not installed until mid March (after we had paid in full per the contract terms) and was damaged. In addition, only one sign/ad rack was installed and this is over 20 feet from the entrance, behind carts, to the left of a trash can, to the right of a bike rack.

The rack/sign has been damaged by bikes being tied to the bike rack, one of the side banners is completely flush with the rack and the ad that we paid for cannot even be seen at any angle. The other side banner is damaged from trash being thrown in the trash can that it has been placed next to and damaged from installation[redacted] was contacted on a number of occasions via email and on his cell. [redacted] provided guarantees that he has never fulfilled and is now completely unavailable to return phone calls and/or emails.

We are a real estate agency, commercial and residential, and our image and how our image is presented directly affects our business. This is negative advertising and is directly affecting our image and ability to show that we are professionals.

We have fulfilled our part of the contract and do not wish to continue to be portrayed as sub-prime and unprofessional by this to our community. These are our clients, our image, our business, our reputation and any negative advertising such as this negatively affects our livelihood.Desired Settlement: Place the rack/ad directly to the right or left of the entrance, obstructed by nothing. Repair damaged signs. Our contract was for a 6 month term. Once the ad/rack is placed in the agreed upon and promised position, our term will begin with an additional 6 months.

[redacted] called and said there was a 2 inch scratch on the white part of [redacted] display. We had fixed and replaced the scratched panel as well as the top panel within two weeks of the initial phone call from [redacted] This display is set up outside next to a Red Box approximately 15 feet away from the main entrance of the store (please see photo #1 attached). As a company, we have offered double contract time to extend their ad when we can get this display moved to the opposite entrance because she is requesting that she doesn't like the location of the rack. Our operations manager had met [redacted] at the Ralphs store location after installing another set of ads forward facing (please see install photo #2 attached). During the conversation with [redacted], our operations team who delivers all the free publications in our rack program at Ralphs, noticed her flyers are empty on a weekly basis. Which we can infer that the position of the rack gets a lot of foot traffic. We will do whatever it takes to make this client happy but since the Revdex.com complaint was filed I have diligently contacted Heather over the phone to talk about this but I only get a short text reply back. Also, according to our operations manager that had met Heather at the store, she does agree that people are picking up her flyers.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Per [redacted] emails of 4/19/14, our contractually agreed upon term would not begin until the sign was not placed in the agreed upon when our company signed the contract. Until the sign/banner is placed where the company

At this point, we have been mislead by [redacted] company and he and his company have falsely represented the products and services to be provided.

With respects to [redacted] claim that he has been unable to reach our company - this is false. I am more than happy to provide emails as well as call history showing that I have been in contact with he and his company in an appropriate and timely manner. If anything, these documents will reflect the [redacted] and his company falsely represented who they were upon their initial contact with us [redacted] company approached us stating that they were Ralph's grocery store), misrepresented the products offered (two signs, one at each entrance were agreed upon and this ended up not being the case), misrepresented the agreed upon placement of the sign/banner and will show that an appropriate response time and acumen was not displayed. In addition, these emails will show that [redacted] of Market Media Group advised our company that our contract time would begin 7/18/14 and run for an additional 6 months. Again, this was not what was agreed upon and simply displays another act of misrepresentation. When I reached out to [redacted] via email on two separate occasions to clarify, I received no response. [redacted] was cc'd on these emails as well. This is another display of this company's lack of customer service, acumen and inability to abide by contract terms and services they have agreed to provide.

Review: I signed up with Market Media Group on 9/1/2015. The sales rep drove up from San Diego to Orange County to pitch me on the placement at my local Vons hand sanitizing station. It sounded like a good opportunity to get some views in my neighborhood that I also farmed as a Realtor. I signed up in the typically slower real estate season but thought I would give it a shot and with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming, those would be high traffic times. I was told that artwork production would take about 30 days and installation would be shortly after that. I was also told that there would be a brochure holder and a business card holder on the stand. Installation of the artwork kept getting delayed, I was given promises for almost 2 months that "it will be installed this week". After several empty promises of installation, finally 3 months later the ad was installed, but we missed Thanksgiving completely and effectively missed Christmas traffic as well, two of the main reasons why I even considered doing this in the off season. Once installed, there was no brochure holder and no business card holder. Again, dozens of empty promises of a brochure holder to be installed, never being fulfilled. The brochure holder is another main reason why I decided to do this type of ad as consumers could take material with them rather than relying on point of contact engagement only. I spent several hundreds of dollars having a brochure designed, created and printed and I am unable to use them now for the purpose they were designed for. after a dozen promises to install and weeks passed, I was told they don't install brochure holders on that stand. I have requested now several times that my ad be removed and I be refunded as they have failed to deliver on any of the promises made. The owner [redacted] will not return calls. I've even offered to eat the artwork setup fee & just refund the rest...No response at all and keep getting the run around from the employee [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Hi [redacted], This is in reference to the above complaint. The business owner has contacted me and we have come to an agreeable resolution to the issues described in the complaint. I would like to close and/or remove the complaint filed. I want to thank you and the Revdex.com for your assistance in resolving this matter. Your service is greatly appreciated. Regards,

Review: I sign an advertising with Mr. [redacted] in [redacted], MI 48197 to have my add at [redacted] on a rack and to be seen by hundreds of customers who enter to [redacted].

Few weeks later my add was taken dawn with my business cars, I called market media and told a customer service lady Kathy in late June 2015 what happen, she told me that they will send some one to fix it.

I called back in July and told [redacted] that my add in either on the ground or against the wall, she told me It might take some time but don't worry we'll fix it. Called back in August and in Sep 2015 finally they put my add back and [redacted] told me not to worry about the time my add wasn't in place and she will give me 3 months credit for the time I lost, I went to [redacted] but I found that [redacted] racks is the way of my add and no one can see it, I spoke with one of [redacted] managers and remove their rack so people see my add, she told me this's out of my reach because this contract come directly from [redacted] corporate and I have to speak with the people I had the contract with for my add. Few days later my add was on the ground again. I called again and left many messages for [redacted] the manager to call me back but he never did. I called many times but the problem wasn't solved as we agreed that my add will be visible to the customers. Called in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April, and May, I also sent they pictures and a video how my add can't be seen by anyone. I spoke at least 20 times with [redacted] who replace [redacted] and she finally told me I am sorry it's beyond my power. Finally on 5/13/15 a man name [redacted] spoke with me and I explain everything to him and told him either my add will be visible to the customers as we agreed or move it to another location, he said it's not our fault that customers aren't calling you, I told him for the customers to call me they should see my add first but they can't see it at all. He told me he will speak with the owner and get back with me?

But this problem have been for over a year now.Desired Settlement: I made it clear to give me Refund of the total amount I paid to have my add with this company, they had a chance to correct the problem for almost a year from May 19/2015.

They never call, just delay and promises without fixing the problem. Looks like a scam to me they collect our money but they leave the problem as if it's none of their business.

Would like to have full refund please.

Review: In March 2014, Market Media Group promised my company highly visible marketing at a local [redacted]s shopping center to begin no later than May 2014. Advertisement banner was to be in a high visibility area that I was to agree to. The banner ultimately was put back in a secluded area by the bathroom and was frequently vandalized. Months passed where I complained about placement and damage and I was promised over and over that the sign would be repaired and relocated. Which was never done. I was also promised a longer marketing period and that the time frame would not start until after the sign was moved to a highly visible area. Around July, I confirmed that my sign would not be allowed to be moved to another location. I have contacted and complained to numerous people in this company over the past several months. I have demanded on numerous occasions in writing to return my money including by certified mail, email and text. After numerous complaints, I was given owner [redacted]'s number and demanded he return my money as he breached the contract. He agreed his company failed to place sign in a highly visible area and told me he would return my money if I was not happy. Since that time, I have communicated with him several times, by phone and by text message, that I wanted my money returned. He still has not returned my money and I will be taking him to small claims court after the holidays if he does not return my money by then. Please note that I have retained all communications received by this company and can provide to prove my case. Please also note that I have seen numerous addresses for this company. The ones you have on your website do not match the ones that I have seen. The business card I have, email signatures & their website shows an address of [redacted]. My invoice shows [redacted]. Your Revdex.com site has 2 or 3 other addresses. Phone number is the same though.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund

When you walk into the store,

the Welcome Center, is about 15 feet from the entrance to the right. This

Welcome Center sees a lot of traffic because it holds multiple publications in

it which get stocked every week. Ms. [redacted] had said she did not like

the position of her ad, so we went ahead and switched her from the right to the

left side of the rack (see Before and After photo). After we had switched

it, she had mentioned her brochure holders were vandalized, so we went

ahead and switched those out for new ones as well. Yet, Ms.[redacted] was still

not satisfied with the location. The CEO, [redacted], had taken it upon himself

to personally go to the store and talk with the store manager. The store

manager had even spoken to Ms. [redacted] in person at [redacted]s to tell her that it is in

a highly visible area and receives a lot of foot traffic. Mr. [redacted] had offered

[redacted] another store in addition to the one she currently has and Ms. [redacted]

does not want to cooperate on any level. Our contracts are non-cancellable as

we take on many costs before the ad even goes up; paying the store chain for 6

months in advance, artwork, printing etc. We would still like to uphold our

previous offer of an additional board at another store (which is an additional $3000 worth of free advertising.)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Their response is not accurate. I was promised a high visibility area. the doorway to the bathroom is not high visibility, but regardless to my opinion, I was told that the sign would NOT remain in this location when I signed up for advertising. In fact, I specifically told the salesperson that the current location was not acceptable and I would not advertise if the sign remained in this location. He and the company promised repeatedly that the sign was going to be moved to a "high visibility" area after [redacted] finished their renovations. These empty promises went on for months. I have all the email and text correspondence to back this claim up. [redacted]'s manager never told me that this location was high visibility and regardless, it does not [redacted]er as the media company is the one who told me the sign would not remain in that position. [redacted] also promised me the return of my money if the sign could not be moved and if I was not happy with the placement. After he finally confirmed with store management that the sign would not be moved, he then did have my portion of the sign moved to the left side ( I never requested this) and had it repaired (I had to ask more than once to have it repaired, as he would tell me it was repaired and I would check and it was not repaired) but regardless the sign remains in the same area that is not high visibility, as promised. They know they have breached the contract. The dentist who also had a sign removed his in protest, when the sign was not moved. He was, as I am, embarrassed by its proximity to the bathroom. Knowing they had breached the contract, they even promised me additional marketing time, to make up for the fact the sign had not been moved from this location stating that my time frame would not start until the sign was moved and also changed the marketing time from 6 months to 1 year. It is true that a few weeks ago, [redacted] also offered to put a sign at another store in place of giving me a refund, and I told him that I would look at the store and let him know if this was agreeable to me, I viewed that stores sign location and it was actually worse than the Mira Mesa Store as the sign is outdoors and hidden behind a large pillar. I responded to [redacted] that it was not acceptable and that I wanted a full refund, as promised. He then stopped responding to me. I am not being unreasonable. Trying to convince me now, after they promised for months to have it moved to a "high visibility" area that the doorway to the bathroom is now a "high visibility" area does not change the facts that I was promised the sign would not be located there. I am only asking the company to keep their word, and give me what I was promised. Now that they know they can't I want my money back. I would agree to a $100 reduction of the refund to reimburse for the production of the sign, as long as I am able to retain the sign. ]

Review: I entered a contract for advertising and gave them $3600 for them to place a rack in my local CVS. They were to place it inside by the pharmacy. After 3 months they placed it outside which was then taken away by CVS who told me they did not have a contract with them and it would not be placed in the store and they threw it away.

When I contacted [redacted], the owner he said he would have another placed right away and that they did have a contract with them. 13 weeks later nothing was placed. [redacted] will not return any calls nor refund my money. This is fraudulent business practice.Desired Settlement: refund plus compensation for lost business

Review: Back in October 16, 2015 [redacted] offered me a 6 month Real Estate advertising space with the Media Market Group placards to be installed at the Albertsons located on [redacted] for the price of $1945. I signed the contract, wrote him a check, I sent him everything [redacted] had requested in regards to the marketing images he needed from my business. this email was sent to Gina on October 28 per her request. After that email I never heard back from them. Time went by I called several times to get status but no one seemed to know what had happened and I was always got told someone would get back to me but no one ever did. I called again today [redacted] who answer the call said someone along the way had dropped the ball and the person assigned to my file was no longer working there and my file had pretty much sat there in mystery. I am now over it, trying to make things work with them is not an easy task since they never seem to know what had happend they never return calls, I seek my full refund. They are not worth my trust after they stole from me.Desired Settlement: I am seeking my full Refund since my business was never placed for advertising and no one seemed to care to give me a call and let me know that their part of the contract was never met. Full Refund is $1,945

We had issues with the movement of our sign from the beginning and initiated contact with them 03/16/15 to help resolve the issue. Response:

The ad was installed at the front entrance on 2.2.15. The ad was installed for the entire 6 months. The customer had called complaining that the sign was not visible. We sent our service providers out a number times to help position the ad better, but every time they went they said it was in a good position. Even the photos [redacted] had sent were still very visible even though she did not think it was. On 3/17/15 [redacted] had sent photos saying the ad was hidden, but the photos showed exemplary positioning (please see attached with her notes in the title). Right next to the front door. The positioning of the ad was in a very great location. We feel like we tried to explain to her it was in a great location, everyone walks by it as it is the entrance hallway.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I attached a few of the images that I have sent to Market Media to show how our sign is clearly not visible to customers. If the sign was facing the correct way when their person was at the location it is because we always move it and place it back where it belongs and/or turn it so that it is visible to the customers. They have told me that someone comes out weekly to check the signs, then how come the broken brochure rack that we reported as broken on May 09, 2015 has not been fixed?

I spoke with Matt at great length about our difficulties and I have a voice message from Matt, dated Tuesday, July 21 at 12:42 pm in which he states that he talked to his boss and said that he wanted to let me know "what we are going to do" in regard to our ongoing issues. He never did return my phone calls or email requests attempting to find out what their resolution proposal was. We never got resolution from Market Media, just stall tactics.

Review: I paid for advertising at Safeway on bollinger cannon in san ramon in February 2015. Ive asked for a refund multiple times and get no where with this.Desired Settlement: To be refunded in full

Review: I met with a salesperson in January. The person promised me amazing advertising at a sanitizing station in a [redacted] in Tustin near my business. I was told to sign a contract and pay half the 6 months agreed upon advertising and then the second half a month later. Big mistake to pay for services before they are received. The station was installed much later than the promised 10-14 days. I had to email the company many times just to receive any kind of update. When I went to maintain the postcards in April, my ad was gone. I was not notified by anyone that my ad had been removed, resulting in me paying for advertising that was not delivered. I was told January 9th that it was not a problem to switch out my ad copy. When I sent over the new artwork, it was not installed after the ad that went "missing" was replaced. We had been open over a month at this point, and the ad stated we were "coming soon." When I called about the fact that my ad was not the new ad, I was told it was because I hadn't signed off on ad approval, and that this is a legality. No one ever sent me something to approve. I was then promised 5/15 that the new ad would be installed at [redacted] Tuesday, a changeover in name to the original commitment we made when the store was a [redacted]. We did not agree on anything if the store changed. I was also told the new artwork would be installed Tuesday, but somehow I still have not yet been sent anything regarding ad approval. I went to [redacted] 5/20 to check on this. They have hand sanitizing stations, but they are [redacted]. I spoke to the store manager and they said I better call MMG as this was false. I called, and as in my past experiences, received no call back. The only time they take my call is if I hold for 20-30 minutes first because they never call back. I am also constantly told lies about where the person I need to speak to is. There are dogs barking in the background, different phone numbers, 3 different addresses listed online. Is this a real company?Desired Settlement: Refund for any advertisement days lost/left on contract. I paid over $2,000 in advance of the services and have nothing close to the services promised to show for it. I can provide email, call logs, and photo proof of all statements.

Response:

[redacted] (please see attached install photo) [redacted] bought the ad on 1.8.15. and sent us the artwork on 1.15.15. The ad was then printed and installed on 2.25.15 due to the special sized holders that we had to custom order as their postcards did not fit in our usual trifold & 8/5 x 11 holders. On 2.26.15 [redacted] was notified that she had been installed and that her 6 month time has started. She replied back "Thank you". On 4.3.15 she had contacted us in regards to changing out her artwork and she had sent it over on 4.6.15. During that time that we were waiting on artwork approval (from the store chain) her billboard had gone missing (on 4.21.15) and we replaced it on 4.23.15 (please see photo). Our administrative assistant got confused and thought it was the new artwork that was posted, but it was the old artwork replacing the missing billboard. [redacted] got upset that it was not her new artwork and started calling us for a refund and did not give us an opportunity to even change out her artwork which was already being printed. To make matters unfortunate. This [redacted] location had changed into a [redacted] in the beginning of May. Per our contract under OTHER TERMS: D, (please see attached contract) if a store closes we reserve the right to switch them into the nearest location. We have transferred CKO into the Ralphs on Jamboree Rd in Tustin, but since it is a different size billboard we had to change the graphics and will be installing that location shortly as well as giving her an extra month on her contract. We have done everything in our power to make [redacted] happy and we hope she will be satisfied with her new stand at the Ralphs as well as an extra month on her contract. Please also note that our contracts are non-cancelable and all advertisers are aware at the time of signing. We will give them extra time and new reprints to accomodate but we cannot cancel simple due to the costs of producing these ads.

Review: Verbally engaged MMG in January 2015 to display my company's ad on their magazine/newspaper rack at [redacted] Market in Malibu. They were going to replace my old sign (from the year before) with a new one, at no charge. They charged my credit card on January 8th 2015 for $1195 to cover the entire calendar year. When I went to the rack location, I noticed that the rack had been moved far away from the front door, where it had usually been. This began a series of emails and phone calls between myself and MMG, and my concern that if the rack remained the approx 30 feet from the [redacted] front door, it would render the advertising virtually worthless, as very few people would ever walk past or see my ad or the rack. When it became obvious to me that MMG was unable or unwilling to have the rack moved close to the door (as it had been for 2014) [redacted], the manager at MMG told me that he had a contract with [redacted], guaranteeing them closer placement to the door. When I spoke in person to the store manager at [redacted], he assured me with a smile that no, there is no such contract and they can put the rack wherever they wish, whenever they wish. I sent MMG an email on February 5th 2015, requesting that since the issue of the rack location did not seem to be getting resolved, to please cancel my involvement, and to refund my money. Since then, I have had repeated conversations with the manager of the company, [redacted] and two or three of his staff people, having to explain this [redacted]er over many times and with no resolve whatsoever. I am always told that I will be called back and I am not, or that I will be responded to with a reply to my email, which I am not. They are simply stonewalling me and hoping I will go away. It is beyond obvious that they have behaved in a dishonest manner, are practiced at it, and have no intention of voluntarily refunding me my money, for services NOT rendered to me. They are dishonest.Desired Settlement: For Revdex.com to compel MMG to refund me my money. I do not want a better deal, or an apology, just my money at this point. MMG has burnt too many bridges for me to want to have any further business involvement with them ever.

Response:

This is a complete misunderstanding. Your original billboard had expired and we had contacted you to renew and change your artwork. You sent us over a renewal agreement and got you started with our designer. You had never finished working on your artwork. The rack placement was to be fixed when we got your new billboard installed because your current one is expired (you have been running for free). Once you finish your artwork, our installer will install it along with changing the placement of the rack so it could be more visible. I will have [redacted] contact you again to finish your artwork.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. This was a classic case of miscommunication. The entire dispute revolved around poor phone and email skills, and not the advertising, or the rate, or other forms of service but around the PLACEMENT of the news rack in relation to the front door, which is very critical. Apparently, once I have submitted my new art work to Market Media and they produce it and attach it to the rack, the rack then gets moved within very close proximity of the [redacted] front door. I will be submitting new art work and hopefully all will go smoothly without any further hitches. I appreciate (at last) the responsiveness of [redacted] at Market Media and his effective resolution to the problem.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

MMG has defrauded me of nearly $1200 by agreeing to post my advertising on their newspaper rack in front of our local Ralphs market in Malibu. I have had numerous problems with MMG in the past and I was hoping all had been resolved but they are up to their old bad behavior again, but this time, even worse. My sign was removed by someone many months ago, and although I attempted to call and email MMG numerous times as to when they would replace the sign, I only received an initial reply months ago stating they would take care of it - since then, no new sign, no responses to my attempts to contact them - it is obvious they have no intention of honoring their agreement or resolving the problem - they are not to be trusted.

I would like a full refund of my $1195.00 that MMG charged me. I have no interest in further business relations with this company.
