The concrete had been replaced, but Maronda Homes does not seal any concreteAs Mr [redacted] has described, spalling can be caused by many things, and as such we do suggest that the homeowner applies an application of concrete sealant to help rd the deterioration of the concrete surface This information can be found in our warranty manual under the Service Policy section, and in the Asphalt Drives & Concrete ApronsThis sealant is up to the homeowner to apply as the see fitOur policy is to not replace or repair concrete with cracks or scaling caused by extreme weather conditions, or by freeze / thaw cyclesNo other warranty applies This information is also under the " Asphalt Drives & Concrete Aprons" sectionThe aprons are left slightly high, and when the final phase of construction in the plan is completed, we/ or the township does come back through with asphalt a final top coat that does take add to the asphalt/apronThis is done as a final step in the phaseI have confirmed with our flooring contractor that the ticket is in placeAs Mr [redacted] has explained, we our behind on flooring service issues, But it is noted in his file, and will continue to be a warranted item regardless of dateI will contact our flooring contractors to ask for an update and to expedite a call to Mr*** Thank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes

I have reviewed the complaints that the homeowners has brought up, as well as what is in our systemThe driveway was repaired according to our service policiesUnder the "Asphalt drives & Concrete Aprons" section, it states that " On asphalt drives, we will patch fill sunken spots inches deep or more on a onetime basis during the first year of ownershipUnder no circumstances will we re surface the entire driveway because of a sunken spot" The repair made was that of patches for sunken spots I do show an open ticket for our flooring contractors, and will ask for an update for the homeowners, and to see if they can expedite the issues I will have a supervisor stop at the home to review the yard complaintShould the yard hold water for more than a hour period, we will address it If this is caused by washout or storm water, it may be up to the homeowner to correctOur handbook states " after the initial installation of your starter lawn seeding, it is not our policy to service landscapingIn case of serious washouts or sunken spots caused by storms or excessively heavy rains, we will normally furnish - on a one time basis at the curb side- additional fill ( not screened topsoiland seed, but no labor, in order that you may repair any damage"again we will ahve a supervisor review the yard first If the microwave is having issues, all of our appliances are reverted back to the manufactureThis information is given to the homeowner at closing[redacted] Customer care can we reached at toll free ###-###-#### We will have a supervisor review the yard by weeks end, and set a landscaper should it be required, otherwise, if a service load of top soil is wanted, please email [redacted] with your request Thank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes

This issue has been resolved, and is complete Thank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes

John O [redacted] spoke with this customer this morning and they both have come to an agreement of voiding out the contract between both partiesI have attached a mutual release for the [redacted] 's to sign to release the full deposit amount as a refundPlease have the buyer ( [redacted] ) complete the bottom portion with signature, Date, Social Security Number and current mailing address and the check can be releasedThank you very muchMaronda Homes

Myself and Maronda Homes have been in contact with The [redacted] , as well as their council on these issuesI have forwarded you my latest emails between the [redacted] Council and MyselfOur responses have been relayed to the homeowners as wellThis has been an ongoing complaint from them, and has or is being dealt withI have received no response from Mrs [redacted] , who is the [redacted] council from our last conversation I have sent youI will do my best to explain to you as well as you can see in the emails Issue one is the carpet, which was originally relayed as a performance related issue, and will need to be sent in for review with the manufacture should the homeowners want toAfter numerous reply's, I did agree to try to expedite this the manufacture as wellAs you can see in our sept29th emailThe second is the furnace filter coverOur units do not require a filter coverOne had been dropped of for the homeowners but was not received by themIn any case it is not a warranted items, and cosmetic flap cover for the furnace filterI was willing to remove the other one should they want both units to be the sameother wise no action is required Thank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes ?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Once again I do not view this as the matter is in process, taken care, of or even addressedWe have emails from August where the builder was notified at that time the carpet was buckling( which was within our one year warranty and deffinitely within our year carpet warranty)We are now over a year past thatthe originial notification and we are no further than we were the day we notified themWe have not been notified a claim has been filed nor have we been contacted that someone was coming to look at it Seriously this should have been resolved by now I have small children and elderly parents and this is a SAFETY fall hazard! As far as the furnace door- I don't care if they are cosmetic It was written on our closing document that we were going to be provided a door and I expect that we should be provided oneIf it is only cosmetic why were we promised one, then one was supposedly ordered and delivered to our house but we never recieved? I noticed on the builder requisition that they had a different housing plan written on it for the place for deliveryCould it be the builder made a mistake and put the wrong olan on the paperwork thus not getting the delivery to the correct address? Either way I don't wan the other one removed I want the one we are owed ---provided Again if the builder was so concerned about resolving this matter why has it not been taken care of to date? Regards, [redacted]

I have been able to review the homeowners complaints, as well as have visited the site prior to the Revdex.com complaint, as they had a ticket with us as wellMaronda Homes does install a starter lawn with each homeHowever, Maronda cannot control how the yard is maintained after closing of the propertyThe homeowner states that there where settlement spots in the yard, and around the house, as well as grass issuesThe settlement is a common occurrence from the new grading that is done around the homeUnfortunately the grass complaint we cannot control as we do not know the maintenance of it when turned overWhen I was able to view the property, it did have grass, with small bare spots that may have not been over seeded or had washed away with weather. The homeowner does mention another area that was not redone between the property adjoining herThis does appear to be correct with what the homeowner is stating, in that the water runoff has eroded the soil to a point now that is a small ditchShould the soil have rooted grass, this would not be likely to happenMaronda cannot control the weather, and should a storm cause the grass seed to run off prior to taking, it is up to the homeowner to replenish that areaWe do offer a service load of topsoil, and bag of seed for these instances, and can still be supplied should they choose to do soI will note her account, and this can be delivered when she is ready I have attached a copy of our warranty manual pertaining to the grading and landscaping informationThese pages are in the homeowners handbook, and do describe the issues and the warranty on each I do understand that the homeowner had the yard redone on her own, but being these are non warranted items, Maronda Homes will not offer a reimbursement to the homeownerThank You [redacted]

I have contacted the flooring contractor to get an ETA for repair/replacementWe do apologize for the delay, but again, our flooring contractors are working on the backlog and getting the repairs taken care of in order and as fast as possibleWhile we do understand that the time frame is lengthy, and unacceptable to the homeowner, the issue will be dealt with ASAPWe do apologize for the time frame in which the repairs are taking As for the service manager, he would not have gotten the ticket for thisI have checked our system, and we do show the complaint entered on 8-Should the homeowner feel that legal counsel is necessary, we would, once received, forward to ours unfortunatelyWe hope to get to the homeowners issues soonI will forward the information from our flooring contractor to the homeowner.Thank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes

I cannot go by what might have been saidUnfortunately I do not know any of the prior discussions between the homeowner and landscaper We have our warranty books in place to protect both the customer and ourselvesWe have to remain consistent with how we apply our warranty standards and this customer can't be treated differentlyShould they wish to have the service load of top soil, we are still offering itThis is in accordance with our service warranty manualThank You, [redacted] Maronda Homes

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I would love to see those blueprints, because from everything I can see, my dryer vent is over feet in length and makes turns, (not just two like you had mentioned), which is not to code...I have attached the email letter I sent to the service department that not only depicts how my vent is improperly installed, but also the receipt from the GE visit that cites "improper ducting." Regards, [redacted]

I have spoken with the homeowner this morning, and the run of duct work is correctI have attached the drawing and prints from GE as to what is allowableThe dryer vent was installed to print, and is within the allowable specs of the manufacturerThe homeowner has been contacted and the information you received will be forwarded to him as wellThank You, [redacted]

As you can see from our previous emails with the homeowner and their attorney, we have provided all the information we canI did ask that a claim be opened up for the homeowners through our flooring contractorsWe would need the manufacture to determine the cause of the buckling they are seeing in the hallwayTypically, the manufacture does not warrant these types of issues in hallways due to many factors, inducing moving of furniture in the tight area, among othersFor this reason they will need to check the backing of the carpet as well as for delamination in order to make a warranty claim, and it be repaired or replacedOur reports show that the homeowners closed in August of 2012, and the complaint came in Novof this was out of the one year warranty periodAt this point we will need the manufacture to make a decision, and we have tried to help by starting the claimthe homeowners may feel free to contact me for updates if I can provide any for them The cover is cosmetic weather the homeowners feel this way or notOur units are not designed with oneIf the one unit does have one it was not designed as such, and may have been a mistakeThis is the cover for the 1" thick furnace filterMy previous statements apply, should the want the other one removed we will do soOtherwise no further action is requiredI have attached a copy of the closing pre settlement inspection, and find no issues for a filter cover or furnace items on the sheet signed by the homeowner I unfortunately cannot go by what may have been said, and have to refer to the signed documentsI do apologize for this issue, but is a cosmetic cover not required or on the design Thank You, [redacted]

I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company such as Maronda. I signed my contract in July of 2018 and had my closing date scheduled for March then April, then May, to be then be told that it would be late June early July. Needless to say this inconvenienced my living arrangement because I was sub-leasing my condo. I pulled my contract and was told that I would receive my refund check within 6 weeks and that was back in May. I reached out to the sales agent which he directed me to the sales administrator Veronica McCall whom might I add was so rude. She didn't even respond to the question of what is the status of the refund but instead forwards me the copy of the release form that I signed. When I told her that I have that info but I wanted the status of the refund her response was 'It was mailed out why"? Just two weeks ago I rode pass the lot that I originally purchased it is still not complete, so imagine if I would have not pulled my contract. I have kept every email and correspondence that has been sent by Maronda and at this point if I do not receive my check soon I am going to the RevDex.com and seek legal advise in regards to this being a possible fraudulent company. Not to mention when I reached out to accounting today the lady that works in that department told me that she could not find me in their system. This company needs to be exposed ASAP and they have met the person that will give them all of the publicity that they are looking for.

would like to know how long Maronda warrants their concrete floors in single family homes. I removed my carpet and discovered a huge crack going the entire width of the house. the house was built in 1998. Thank you.

Maronda Homes entered into a purchase agreement with Mr*** dated 11/6/At this time an "estimated" completion date of 7/7/was assigned to the contract and initialed by Mr*** on page of the attached contractThe home received it's Occupancy Certificate on 6/14/but due to
the mortgage lender requirements and Mr***'s schedule the closing was scheduled for 7/7/17.Maronda Homes received a copy of the attached home inspection report on 6/30/and promptly addressed the item that was identified in the reportThere were no Radon test results in the inspection report that would indicate there was an existing radon level in the homeEach Maronda Home is equipped with a passive radon vent system that is explained to the customer at the time of their presettlement walk through. In consideration for the mistake that the design center made regarding the granite countertop, Maronda Homes would like to reimburse Mr*** in the amount of $that he was charged on the attached change order dated 3/12/17.I have attached a copy of the customer survey that is presented at the time of closing that Mr*** completedWe would like to resolve this complaint based on the information provided.Sincerely,Maronda Homes INC, of Ohio

Good morning,Maronda Homes has meet with the customer and made arrangements to address the homeowners concerns

Good afternoon, Dan B*** with Maronda Homes has been trying to get in contact with said homeowner to have homeowners issues addressed per the warranty agreementI will update the response as items get accomplished for homeowner under the warranty policy

Maronda Homes although being quite beautiful in their designs employs sub-standard contractors to build their homes. When dealing with a very shady contractor who performed a faulty installation of our carpet Maronda refused to force the contractor to perform the warranty work. They will not inspect the damage themselves and rely solely on what the contractor has to say. I have been able to prove the installation was faulty but yet still nothing. If this is the way Maronda does business with disabled veterans then I will be informing everyone I know not to do business with this builder.

Maronda would like to reimburse me for $ 925 in the granite and that’s not enough. It’s not only about the money but the wayThey treated me over all this issues.   I will have to install a radon system because the installed system is not ok (1.6 X over the limit) . I am scared to go to the basement; Builder knew and asked for a copy of the radon report. The wavy wall will never be fixed (I will have to live with that) The Fee I had to pay extra is marked with arrows. They changed my closing date twice; I can send the e mails if you want. I had a meeting with the building regarding this issue because I was going to cancel the contract. I had my honeymoon trip scheduled and paid. Due to this issue I had to make my honeymoon trip before got married. I had to leave my apartment, rent 2 storage and stay in a hotel for more than one Month! Because the wrong closing date. I really, really, really appreciate your support and accept your advice!  Thanks [redacted]
