Review: To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you in the matter of the customer service at:

Mattress Magic

On Tuesday, October 6th I purchased an item from Mattress Magic, [redacted] by placing a $400 dollar deposit with the plan to call at noon on the 7th to pay the balance.

The next morning I had made a call to ask a question about the product and the pricing; I was concerned there was a piece missing that should have been included. I finally was able to get in contact with the owner/manager and began to express my concern.

While explaining my concern with the item missing the owner began shouting at me, telling me he is not refunding my money. At no point had I asked to have my money refunded I was simply trying to figure out why the piece was not included. During the call he was screaming at me refusing to let me say a word. I never was able to finish explaining what I was calling for before he started shouting, telling me “you just think you are entitled, all of you and your generation just think you are entitled,” he was cursing, and continuously yelling. In this mix off all this I managed to state “How are you a business owner and speaking to a customer like this and he responded with, “I have an excellent Revdex.com rating, just because you are a customer, you think you are God, well you are not!” He then told me “you will not get the last word,” and hung up.

I called back and he again began yelling and then he calmed for a second and heard my concern and told me he would include that additional piece at no additional cost to me, I agreed and stated “I’m really just asking why I was told it was not included then,” he began shouting at me again and finally told me to “Take my Google [redacted] and shove it,” and he again hung up.

I then called back and he answered already yelling and just shouted you are not getting your money back or your product and hung up.

I called again, a woman, his wife, answered, and she started with the same attitude, telling me “you are a know it all for a 26 year old, aren’t you.” While snickering she said, “Policy states you don’t get a refund, read your contract!” And then she proceeded to hang up. I went through this 2 times with her.

Finally they completely stopped answering my calls, so I left a voicemail stating that the issue has to be resolved one way or another, so please give me a call. It has been 3 days, I have tried calling and they will not answer and I have not received a call back. Their contract states that the balance has to be paid within 60 days or the deposit is forfeited. I have tried to contact them several times and nothing. After being spoken to the way the owner chose to go about business, I will not go into the store; I am genuinely concerned for my safety and wellbeing. If he can speak to a paying customer like that who knows what that man is capable of. With them not answering and not giving me a refund they are stealing what I have paid for a deposit.Desired Settlement: I would like to purchase the product with the additional piece for the price I am paying, like the owner had stated or be refunded my deposit.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

At no point in any of this process have I tried to cancel my purchase. I called concerned with the product I was purchasing not including the trundle. After research and going to several places the price I was paying for the bed included the trundle where the salesman tried charging me a significant amount more for a piece that is suppose to be included at the price I was paying.

Review: I recently purchased a mattress from MatressRx. The order form states that I purchased the "Hawaiian Heaven" from Enso. The purchase price was $1388. I tried to price match the mattress while in the store, but was not able to locate the mattress anywhere online under this name. When the mattress was delivered to my house, it was not labeled "Hawaiian Heaven" like it was in the store. The mattress name is actually "Grandeur." Under the mattress's real name, I was able to find several locations that sold the mattress at a cheaper price. One was listed at $649.00 with free shipping. Falsely changing the name of this product made it impossible for me to price match the mattress and I believe it was a highly deceptive form of false advertising.Desired Settlement: I would like the difference between the actual price that I paid for the mattress and the competitor's price ($739.00) be credited back to my account, either by a return charge, or an in-store credit.

It is our desire to offer our customer the best value that we can.. We do not offer a low price guarantee, but as we are all aware price is not the only reason to purchase some from a particular retail outlet. Service, availability of goods and customer services after the sale are all values that are considerations during the sale.
