[redacted], This letter will acknowledge receipt of your correspondence
dated June 16, 2015. On April 2, 2015, [redacted], our customer, filed a claim
(#[redacted]) for damage to the shingled roof of her home located at [redacted]. On April 8, 2015, our adjuster, Lori C[redacted], completed
a physical inspection of the damage to our customer’s property with the
customer and the customer’s contractor present during the inspection. During
the inspection, our adjuster found no damage present to the roof resulting from
windstorm, hail or any other Peril Insured Against provided in the policy. The
inspection by our adjuster revealed the shingles present on the roof were [redacted] composite roof shingles. Inspection of the shingles found the presence
of cracks and blistering to the shingles, which were determined to be the
result of wear and tear and manufacturer’s defect. Our adjuster advised our
customer her insurance policy does not provide coverage for manufacturer’s
defect. Our adjuster informed our customer and her contractor that the damage
to the shingles resulting from manufacturer’s defect should be directed to the
manufacturer. Our customer was adamant that her insurance policy should provide
coverage and then request reimbursement for the insurance claim payment
provided to our customer through the process of subrogation. Our adjuster again
advised our customer that their policy does not provide coverage for
manufacturer’s defect. On April 13, 2015, our adjuster completed a denial letter to
the customer quoting the applicable policy language. Since our customer’s insurance policy is a named peril
policy and manufacturer’s defect is not a named peril listed in the insurance
policy, the claim was denied. [redacted] If you have any

Dear [redacted],   Thank you for your assistant on this matter.    The dispute was cancelled after I received the check.  However, the check was returned from my bank because AMIG put stop payment on the check (attached the letters).  I was charged for $20 because of stop payment action. As I have emailed and called AMIG customer service many times to let them know [redacted] (Credit card Company) has funding available for American Modern to withdraw since May.  "The merchant's bank needs to withdraw the funding from the holding account.  The funding is available for merchant to withdraw.”  [redacted] card bank stated. The cost of the insurance policy is $266 that is the amount I paid to the credit card company. The cancelation of the policy refund is $258.02.  AMIG should receive $7.98 of the service after refund my one year payment.  That said AMIG should collect the payment $266 of the sales and refund my portion of $258.02.   [redacted] card bank did not sale the product or service to me hence they cannot refund $258.02 to me and AMIG entitled to receive $7.98 of the sales in this transaction. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to resolve this matter.  Thanks and Regards,[redacted]
