Maximum Title Loans Reviews (140)

This company does not follow through with what they say. I paid my loan off ahead of time, and they still have not released my title. I have wasted countless time waiting on hold with their representatives. They say they have released the title, but when I go to the DMV and waste my time it still has a lean on it. All of the employees seem to have a attitude problem, especially the one that claims to be the "owners girl friend". Take my advice stay away from this company they are a pain to deal with.

Always an excellent experience. It is difficult to have to go into an establishment and request a loan. Maximum Title Loans always treat me with respect and make me feel like they are there for me. I have expressed my concern on two different occasions regarding my dilemma and need for a loan and the response is consistently, "That's what we're here for."

My experience at maximum was a pleasure. The people are nice and explain everything thoroughly. If ever in need of a loan I suggest Maximum.

I have had great service and direction from the [redacted] location on [redacted] Road. The Girls are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for your time and patience!!

Maximum title loans is a great company! Everyone is very friendly and positive and always helpful !

I never thought that I would need to do something like this in my life. But unfortunately life happens and sometimes you have to do what's right to take care of your family. I contacted many different title loan places and did not get a good vibe. Made me feel like all they wanted to do is give me money so I can pay them a ton back in insurance. When [redacted] called me from Maximum Title Loans I felt like she was genuine. The staff at the [redacted] office was very professional and I got exactly what I needed. Everything was explained clearly to me since I had no idea how this process works. If I were ever in need to do something like this in the future or knew of anyone else that needed some help, Maximum Title Loans is who I'd prefer to do business with. Thank you for the assistance and professional representation.

Review: I have a title loan through this company. I was contacted this morning by a gentleman named "Bo". Immediately he states, "Are you going to pay me or am I going to sue you!". Yes I am late on my payment, but this is the first conversation that I spoke to ANYONE at maximum. He then proceeds to call me a [redacted] and said that he can and he will sue me. At this point I give my husband the phone. My husband works second shift was sleeping. When My husband [redacted] got on the line and introduced himself, he asked who he is speaking to, "Bo" responded by "Get your [redacted] up and get a job its almost 12 o'clock." At that time he refused to give his name. It took several calls and him hanging up on myself and my husband to get his name but along came many more insults. On our final call we spoke with Ana, she states she is the manager of the legal department. She refused to pass the information up to other management and states we will not go any further than her. An arrangement was made to bring the account current but she still refused to give us any other information to contact other management or to make an appropriate complaint. We attempted again to speak to management and Christine said she is management.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to be reprimanded for the actions of the employees. I would like to see this person "Bo" to be removed from the position that he feels he can insult customers. I also feel they are evading the laws they are breaking by allowing for people to cover one another and refuse to give management information. Everybody we have spoke to Ana, Christine and Bo have identified themselves as management. Refusing to let us speak trying to argue with us on the phone and not being honest.

Business

Response:

Client is in default and refused to speak to us directly. Instead, she asked her husand to speak to us in which case we told them they needed to pay or surrender the vehicle. The account remains 54 days past due.

Consumer

Response:

This is not correct. I was speaking directly to the representative who identified himself as "Bo". He was immediately nasty to me and insulted me when I addressed his attitude with me. I WILL NOT allow ANYBODY claiming to be a "professional" to curse at me or use derogatory language. Regardless if the account is in "default", the Attorney General's office finds it very interesting that we were insulted and treated in such way. A "late" bill does not allow for any person employed by a company to insult the customer. NEVER.

Business

Response:

Client is 55 days past due and we do not use such language as Crissy indicates. It appears that Crissy is using this complaint to distract from her past due account. We would like her to call us to get current

I would recommend Maximum Title loans to anyone who is in need of a loan. Their staff was very professional and polite. They were quick and got the money I needed without all the hassle of other places. Also being AZ owned really meant that they wan to build business here. They deserve an A+ for their quality of business, and friendly staff.

I was able to get the money I needed within a hour and staff was very friendly.

They help me lower my old and the people was very helpful will send other people if they need help

Review: Received a title loan on 2/4/2014 for 2757.44 I paid scheduled interest payments on 3/6 and 4/5/2014 On 4/9/2014 I refinanced with [redacted]. maximum title loan charged me 2980.00, $222.56 interest for 4 days of interest this is outrageous. According to the loan documents there is no prepayment penalty?Desired Settlement: Refund money minus interest rate for 4 days.

Response:

If there is a refund due, that should come from [redacted]. As stated by the client, "the amount [redacted] charged me is outrageous". Please refer the client to [redacted] for any possible refunds. Thanks

[redacted],

You are right that the previous response was inaccurate. However after reviewing your account history we have found the descrepency. We are in agreement on the loan amount however, your payment dates are not accurate. Our records show you paid 319.00 on 3-3-14 and 213 ahead of schedule on 3-21. Your daily rate is 11.78. The loan was paid off on 4-9. If you do the math on the daily rate, you will find the payoff amount of 2979.63 to be accurate. Please let us know if we have missed something else as your payment dates don't match whats in our system. Thanks

[redacted],

If you made a payment on April 5th, we have no record of that. As you know, our contract stated you must call and claim your payment if its made to wells fargo. This is a general account that get dozens of payments deposited, transferred, etc daily.

Could you possibly have forgotten to call in your payment? This does happen quite frequently which is why we have strongly encouraged payments on our website by debit card. Please let us know? Thanks

Review: I went in for a Title Loan and was filling out the application during the process they asked for my Vehicle Title and I gave it to them. After completing the application I was shown the contract which did not say how much the loan would cost me. I asked for the cost of the loan and they made up a new contract which told me the payments. I refused the loan and asked for my title back. They said they had already put a lien on my title and I needed to pay $10.00 to get it back, I refused to pay $10.00 and asked again for my Title back the would not give it back to me. They then handed me the phone and said it was the owner who wanted me to pay $20.00 to get it back in one week. I refused he said he would call the Police I told him I was fine with That. He said he was going to call the guy next door and Have him physically remove me from the premises, I said I'll be waiting for him. He hung up, nobody ever came and I left without my title.Desired Settlement: I want my title back without having to pay anything!

Mr. [redacted] came into our office for a new loan on July 23, 2014. He was approved at which point pricing was discussed by a manager. He then and signed an [redacted] application which he was told would allow Maximum Title Loans to add our lien on the title. The client abruptly changed his mind after he saw the contract and title was liened. We released the title and gave Mr. [redacted] a courtesy call to let him know he could pick up title.

[redacted] Maximum Title Loans was not up front with their pricing they tried to hide it, I had never done a Title loan before and do not understand why anyone would put a lien on someone's vehicle before the customer had agreed to the terms?

Regards,

Maximum tittle loans is awsom I'm glad I went to maximum thanks guys.

[redacted] helped me with my title loan and she made everything so much easier to understand she really did a great job.

All of the people that I came into contact with were all very friendly and very helpful. It was not a good time since I had to borrow money but they did not look down on anyone and were very helpful.

Maximum title loans in Scottsdale at Via De Ventura is a beautiful new office - there is a family feel and the owner often has his delightful dog in the office! Keep in mind that you shouldn't borrow more than you can afford to pay back and you will be nothing but satisfied!! This is a great business

I went to the [redacted] office.I went to the mesa office. My loan was fast and easy and [redacted] was wonderful. I would recommend maximum title loans to anyone

The staff were very friendly.

I loved the location, facility, and friendly staff. However, I did not like the lack of vital information up front or when asked... I always asks questions up front, as I was tight on time, but at least 3 times during two visits random request came up at the last minute (meaning after I waited at least 15-30mins) which I could have already had prepared. Not to mention that not until I recieved the check payout and noticed the amount was different did they tell me about a service fee that was taken out, (which was not in the paperwork) I would have requested a different amount had I known I wasn't going to get what I asked for. Also, not sure why the fee wasn't added to the balance for that reason. I think the staff is nice and professional, but can waste a lot of time not being up front about the process. I spent at least 30mins too many in there.

[redacted], the representative at Maximum Title loans is amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the title loan process, courteous, and helpful. I wouldn't have any hesitation to refer a colleague or friend to Maximum Title Loans that was in need of financial assistance. Thank you so much [redacted]!
