The consumer stated at bottom of his complaint that this was for Revdex.com information only but we have included a reply below.The marketing mailer that is referenced includes statements that the pre-approved offer is contingent on the applicant meeting certain criteria Our loan qualification criterion is designed to avoid securing a loan for an individual when it is not in their best financial interest to do so Pebblestone Financial complies with all applicable laws and regulations.Again, we would like to make clear, that we state on our websites and mailers that no one is guaranteed the offer we have sent them That “this notice is not guaranteed if you do not meet select criteria and that rates, fees, and program guidelines are subject to change without notice.”

I am rejecting this response because:This is a generic response and a expected response, I've been in the industry for Bank of Ameria and Wells Fargo for years and I agree with prior complaints I would like to know how many loans they've approved since 2/16, I'm sure it's not many if any at allThis operation should be shut down for misleading advertising practices

I am rejecting this response because:They claim that they called more than once but didn't leave a messageHow was I to respond if they don't leave a messageBefore theyobtained my personal information they didn't have a problem leaving a messageAnd after I filed a complaint with you and also one with the USPostal Inspectors I received a call from a woman who said her name was AmandaShe didn't have a problem leaving a messageWhen I returned her call she told me I didn't qualify for a bill consolidation loan.She then tried to pressure me to enter into a credit modification programI asked why I received the letter stating that I was pre-approved for a loan up to $45,and then betold I would have to enter the other programShe didn't have a satisfactory answerShe kept trying to pressure me even when I told her repeatedly that I wasn't interested.The call ended when I told her I wouldn't consider entering her programWhy do they send out letters stating people are pre-qualified for a loan but don't give out loans? I see from previous complaints that is their common practice.To me that is fraud and since they use the USPS that makes it mail fraudI still have to worry what they will do with my SSN and other information in the future[redacted] C [redacted] Jr

I am rejecting this response because: The company is not telling the truthThe form that they sent me has my correct amount of debt so nothing has changed since the form was sentInteresting enough I got another form days ago that listed the same amount of debt and again offering me a loan at a good interest rateThe company is only trying to get you to sign up for credit services from there group [redacted] ***

Broadstar Financial referred Mr [redacted] to our lending partner as he was prequalified Our lending partner sent him an Invitation to Apply on 3/to his Comcast.net email account Our partner resent him the invitation on 4/and then contacted the applicant on 4/to ensure that he received the email They sent the second email to a Yahoo.com address as he said he did not receive the first email He submitted a loan application on 4/using the Yahoo.com address and was subsequently denied because he did not meet the lending partner’s criteria This is disappointing as our partner would like to fund loans, where possible, to qualified candidates Of course, both Broadstar Financial and our lending partner will destroy his information immediately, as he has requested We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused Mr [redacted] and we consider this matter resolved

To restate, we did not deceive the client, *** ***. It is clear on the mailer that this is a “pre-screened notice of credit is based on information in your credit report indicating that you meet certain criteria. This notice is not guaranteed if you do not meet select criteria” It goes on to include “Rates, fees, and program guidelines are subject to change without notice. Certain restrictions apply”Pebblestone Financial complies with all applicable laws and regulations and we meticulously safeguard any information that is given /provided to us by consumers when calling in to one of our call centers

The mailer that is sent is very misleadingYou very clearly state that I was "pre-approved for a debt consolidation loan" it does not say "may be approved for a loan." I guess this just goes to prove the old saying that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is

I am rejecting this response because: I am glad to be off their contact list. This is nothing more than a form response from the business. I didn't provide any additional information to give them the opportunity to be qualified or disqualified for the loan

As he states, our consultants had been exchanging messages with Mr*** between July 13th and July 21st. When connection hadn’t yet been made, the consultants tried calling and leaving several messages again between August 3rd and August 16th. A consultant was able to connect with
Mr*** via phone and email on August 17th at which time all things were clarified and Mr*** is proceeding with his application. We consider this matter to positively resolved

I am rejecting this response because:the information you state is not factualNothing changed in my history since you sent me the pre-qualified offer and I met all the requirements you stated I your letterThis was a bait and switch deceptive offer that was by design a way to deceive usThis type of business practice is reprehensible and I will continue to continue to complain until you live up to what you promised
