Thus, it is always disappointing when we are unable to do that. However, our loan qualification criterion is designed to avoid securing a loan for an individual when it is not in their best financial interest to do so. We are in touch with our partner about this and are having that consultant retrained We regret any inconvenience this matter has caused you In an effort to address your concern about your credit score dropping as a result of the inquiry, we are offering to pay up to $towards a credit repair service of your choosing. qualification criterion is designed to avoid securing a loan for an individual when it is not in their best financial interest to do so.   Pebblestone Financial complies with all applicable laws and regulations.Again, we would  like to make clear, that we state on our websites and mailers that no one is guaranteed the offer we have sent them.  That “this notice is not guaranteed if you do not meet select criteria and that rates, fees, and program guidelines are subject to change without notice.”

After speaking with Mrs. [redacted] on June 3rd, the financial consultant was out of the country for some time due to an unplanned family issue.  Between June 7th and June 23rd, several colleagues of the financial consultant tried to reach out to Mrs. [redacted] in his absence but perhaps she did not...

recognize their names or phone numbers.  Additionally, a few emails were sent to Mrs. [redacted] during this time trying to connect with her but again, she may have misunderstood their origin.  On July 19th, the original financial consultant was able to connect with Mrs. [redacted] and explain everything.  Mrs. [redacted] is not interested in pursuing business with us at this time due to her personal situation but she is no longer concerned about her identity or information.  We believe this matter to be resolved and closed.  Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:This is a generic response and a expected response, I've been in the industry for Bank of Ameria and Wells Fargo for 30 years and I agree with prior complaints.   I would like to know how many loans they've approved since 2/16, I'm sure it's not many if any at all. This operation should be shut down for misleading advertising practices.

To Whom it May Concern: After reviewing Mr. [redacted]' file, we realize our financial consultants had tried to reach him several times without leaving a message.  A consultant connected with Mr. [redacted] today and will be discussing his eligibility for our program and his options today at 5pm....

We consider this matter closed and look forward to working with Mr. [redacted].

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/03/04) */
Mrs. [redacted] submitted a loan application to us back on 2/22. Unfortunately, after a review of the information submitted, she did not qualify for the debt consolidation loan. Broadstar Financial's core business is helping to provide loans to...

people who need them. Thus, it is always disappointing when we are unable to do that. However, our loan qualification criterion is designed to avoid securing a loan for an individual when it is not in their best financial interest to do so.
However, we have other partners that can definitely help her with another program regarding her credit card debts so we had passed her file on to them. We understand from them that Mrs. [redacted] spoke to a representative several times in late February and that she was in the process of talking with him about her situation. However, since late February, the representative has been unable to reach Mrs. [redacted] again despite trying many times.

Mrs. [redacted] seems to feel no one has been in touch with her and is concerned that our offer is not legitimate. This absolutely is not the case. It seems that maybe it was just a bit of phone tag that has created some confusion and for that we are very sorry. Our partner representative is eager to re-engage with Mrs. [redacted] right away.
However, if Mrs. [redacted] would like us to remove her from our system and destroy her information, of course we can do that as well but we really would love the chance to help her.
We hope this resolves her concerns.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/03/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
NOBODY contacted me at all; please just destroy my personal info and notify me once it is done. I will say that after I filed this complaint, someone contacted me out of NY and left me voice mail, not sure if that person was in any way affiliated with Broadstar.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 10, 2016/03/17) */
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/03/17) */
Mrs. [redacted] the person who contacted you from NY was indeed a representative from our partner firm. However we are honoring your wishes and destroying all of your personal information immediately. Please consider this your notification that such action has been taken. We apologize again if this caused you any inconvenience and we wish you the best of luck with your financial situation.

Mr. [redacted],
This letter is in response to your July 12, 2015 complaint submitted to the Revdex.com in regard to Crestmont Funding. It is our intent that this correspondence will address your concerns.
Let me begin by offering our...

apology for any inconvenience this matter has caused you and for any confusion or misunderstanding that occurred.
The marketing mailer that you reference in your letter includes statements that the pre-approved offer is contingent on the applicant meeting certain criteria. Our loan qualification criterion is designed to avoid securing a loan for an individual when it is not in their best financial interest to do so.
Unfortunately, based on the information provided, you did not qualify for a debt consolidation loan. As an alternative, you were offered a debt management plan by one of our partners, which you found unacceptable and declined. Regretfully, since we were unable to facilitate the delivery to you of a loan or an acceptable debt management plan, we will remove you from our mailing list. That action will ensure that we do not inconvenience you in the future.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with our company's operating processes and we wish you well in the future.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept your response. It is obvious that your ploy is to deceive the consumer into believing that they have qualified for debt consolidation loan. This turns out to be false and the consumer is left with only a damaged credit score as your misdirection led the consumer to agree to a hard credit pull. As I mentioned before, even if you have found a loophole that does not make this practice illegal, this practice clearly demonstrates a lack of ethical and moral standards.
As I am quite confident that your method lacks business ethics, I have attached a scanned copy of the original letter that I received - indicating my qualification for the debt consolidation loan. If you won't admit that your practices are unethical, then I am willing to post this scan of the letter and let others judge accordingly for themselves. Decide what they may.
My hope is that other consumers do not fall victim to your scam.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/07/22) */
Mr. [redacted],
Again, we apologize that you were displeased with the ultimate outcome of not qualifying for a loan. In our previous response, we addressed your concerns as well as confirmed that you have been removed from any future offers and/or mailers.

I am rejecting this response because:They claim that they called more than once but didn't leave a message. How was I to respond if they don't leave a message. Before theyobtained my personal information they didn't have a problem leaving a message. And after I filed a complaint with you and also one with the U. S. Postal Inspectors I received a call from a woman who said her name was Amanda. She didn't have a problem leaving a message. When I returned her call she told me I didn't qualify for a bill consolidation loan. She then tried to pressure me to enter into a credit modification program. I asked why I received the letter stating that I was pre-approved for a loan up to $45,500 and then  betold I would have to enter the other program. She didn't have a satisfactory answer. She kept trying to pressure me even when I told her repeatedly that I wasn't interested. The call ended when I told her I wouldn't consider entering her program. Why do they send out letters stating people are pre-qualified for a loan but don't give out loans? I see from previous complaints that is their common practice. To me that is fraud and since they use the USPS that makes it mail fraud. I still have to worry what they will do with my SSN and other information in the future.[redacted] C. [redacted] Jr.

Broadstar Financial referred Mr. [redacted] to our lending partner as he was prequalified.  Our lending partner sent him an Invitation to Apply on 3/21 to his Comcast.net email account.  Our partner resent him the invitation on 4/3 and then contacted the applicant on 4/4 to ensure that he...

received the email.  They sent the second email to a Yahoo.com address as he said he did not receive the first email.  He submitted a loan application on 4/4 using the Yahoo.com address and was subsequently denied because he did not meet the lending partner’s criteria.  This is disappointing as our partner would like to fund loans, where possible, to qualified candidates.  Of course, both Broadstar Financial and our lending partner will destroy his information immediately, as he has requested.  We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused Mr. [redacted] and we consider this matter resolved.

I am rejecting this response because: The company is not telling the truth. The form that they sent me has my correct amount of debt so nothing has changed since the form was sent. Interesting enough I got another form 3 days ago that listed the same amount of debt and again offering me a loan at a good interest rate. The company is only trying to get you to sign up for credit services from there group [redacted]

Revdex.com:
Asad called me yesterday. He said they have moved a few doors down into much bigger location. Would still like confirmation from Revdex.com that everything is on the up and up, but this may explain the communications being down.   Thank you for your assistance, Joanne
