The manufacture we purchased the windows from, *** is no longer in business. *** *** went out of business back in when they sold the company to *** Windows. Manufacture warranties that were in place prior to their going out of business or being sold are no longer in effect
Medallion’s one year labor warranty is no longer in effect because *** ***’s vinyl windows were installed back in Any issues with *** ***’s windows beyond are the responsibility of the manufacture and not that of Medallion
As a policy, Medallion does not absorb or take ownership of a manufacturer’s warranties when they go out of business. However; when a situation like this arises, we offer a reduction in price on replacements or we provide the name of a window repair company if they opt not to purchase new ones.
As a good company, we never refuse service to our clients and make every effort to resolve whatever issues they are havingIf *** *** has any questions, he can contact our service deptat ###-###-####

The process of installing a screen room from the day a contract is executed (signed and dated) typically takes anywhere from
8-weeksWe were on track
to start Ms***' installation 10-weeks out from the day she signed her
contract but ran into permitting delays due to PG County's request for
additional informationUnfortunately these types of delays occur from time to
time due to Medallion’s refusal to cut corners; insuring that the necessary
jurisdictional protocols are followed to the letter thereby assuring the quality of
Medallion’s work is never jeopardized
We hope to have Ms***’ installation completed by the end of this week, Friday Jan30,
2015, weather permitting

Medallion is all aces. I've used them over 20 years for security doors. They built my deck and then sunroom. They are true professionals. I never had a problem they couldn't fix. And overall they built the best iron doors hands down. And my sunroom is beautiful

Why has the white painted guards rusted and the black door made out of the same material not rusted? As the other door company stated the white paint Madillion used is bad. Madillions president clearly states on his web site if you must be satisfied why can't they make good their promise. I did call my sales person about the rust when I saw it as I explained.

Depending on where your door and window guards are positioned on your house has a lot to do with when you will need service. If there is prolonged exposure to wind, rain and sunlight ---- that can speed up a need for service. All iron work requires service at some point and time frames may vary from job to job or product.

 Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The window guards on the front of my house are exposed to full sun all day. The front guards that are behind my bushes have all rusted the same 80%.  My back yard the window guards and white door guard recieve the evening evening sun after 5:30 pm the back window guards and white door guard are worse than the front. The black front guard has not rusted and that gets full sun it is the white paint they used as I was told by another company they used bad paint. This is a shady company the owner [redacted] states on their company web site he guarantees you will be satisfied. Keep your word !!

I am rejecting this response because:
you need to check with your sales representative [redacted]  [redacted].  You were not present and witnessed the speech that he gave.  Check with him he has either lied on several occassions and misrepresented the truth, he knows that.  It is a total question mark  to me why he even told as many lies as he did from the very beginning.  he stated that there would be no problem converting the 4ft fence to 6ft, he knows that he spoke with me several times, what is his version of this situation, has anyone spoken with him.  I would think that if you have someone representing your company and misleads them the way that [redacted] has conducted himself in this situation an honest company would would to make the customer happy and make amends for the situation that [redacted] created.  This company only wants to get additional money for work that has already been done incorrectly.
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, they don't care about the satisfaction of the customer, they only want your money and could care less about your satisfaction.  I am curious to hear from [redacted] in this situation since he knows the truth, where is he, he knows he promised to fix the situation without any additional money, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with and the most dishonest people representing this company.

Issues with [redacted] security-door closers are now resloved; per her communication with our service manager, [redacted]. Case can be closed.

Medallion Security installed security windows and doors in on my house. The manager , Bill, did not rush me through the initial process of asking questions and receiving information to signing of the contract. The team of installers were very good and caring about my home. The installation went on as scheduled and the product was what I expected. After installation the manager walked around to inspect the work with me. There was a minor change I requested and the company reacted quickly and with minimum cost. I highly recommend the product and the company to ensure security in one's home.

Well based off Medallion’s slogan “The Home Improvement Experts – Two Names One Great Company”, that’s fraudulent. This company is the worst ever. I am truly disappointed in the Customer Service and Labor that's been provided with replacing my 8ft Iron Fence with a 10ft Iron Fence. This company charged me $9500.00 and within 2-4 years their product is totally worthless.
The fence is not sturdy to say the least; the latches do not close totally on either side of the gates. The fence ties are all coming undone; the poles along the top of the fence are not even and totally separating from the fence. The link fence is 11/2 inches from the ground and the installers instead of removing all the poles appropriately out the ground from the previous fence; they cut them and left they exposed therefore my dog cut his paw while walking along the fence line and had to have surgery.
Neither to say with the 10ft fence Medallion installed is so flimsy both dogs my (Chow/Labrador and Yorkie/Poodle) are able to push the fence underneath and get out of the yard. I have made numerous calls to this company requesting for assistance/restitution for the past 2 years and have yet to receive any satisfaction on the work they performed. So to all you homeowners looking for a security fence company BEWARE!!!!!

To sub-contract out and the company they choose goes out of business is not my concern or not who I paid for the service. I am rejecting this response because:
Clearly this business has no ethics and I'm wasting my time and need to take further steps in resolving my $3000 problem for services never rendered, for products never ordered, permits or HOA permissions never given. With that said they cannot build a deck for my house anyway. I was crystal clear to the sales rep that I could not proceed until financing was obtained. The sales rep contacted my in Mid April after the 3 days which he stated would not be applicable understanding that financing was a must for the $17,000 project.  Since this company wishes to hold on to my money based on the below response between my phone records and witness statements on the conversations I had with the sales rep I'm very certain as well as my legal counsel that my chances are great in court!  For a company to be so unethical knowing that they did not perform any work or lose any money and wishes to keep customers monies who work so very hard for is disheartening. I wish for the Revdex.com to make their decision as they do not deserve a A rating for their dishonesty and future buyers WARNED not to enter into any contract as their only concern is the money at no cost or concern of the customer.

I purchased a 6ft cedar fence from them in 11/2015. in less than 1 year due to weather, the elements, my $8000 fence needed repairs so I called Medallion because naturally you would think this should be covered under the warranty.
On August 2nd I contacted Medallion via telephone and email reporting the damage of my fence and asking them for an appointment to schedule repairs. I emailed pictures, continuously called, and constantly received nothing but the run around.
When I finally did receive a call I was told I had to pay $250 for a damaged post that was not covered.... okay fine.
That was in September and still no one called with that appointment and my calls and emails continued until finally I was told in October that "we are super busy but I promise we will have someone to you either the week of 10/24 or the week of 10/31 but we will have someone call you the day before.
Well lest fast forward shall we to 11/2 when the Medallion crew appears at my home with no advance call so that I could take off or have someone home to oversee the work. No invoice left, no sign off for the work or number of broads replaced... nothing. So now its 11/3 and I receive a call stating that "my fence was repaired yesterday but they didn't receive payment of the $250 for the post and oh yeah some of the damage of these boards were due to your dog, but we fixed them as a 1 time courtesy....
For the record not only is my dog a house dog he is a very large dog that would not nibble on boards but eat the entire board only if smeared it down with peanut butter so damage from my dog is definitely not the case. Especially when he has a kennel that he stays in when outside.
Next I sent ample professionally taken pictures of every board when I originally emailed and requested the appointment for service. This appoint would have provided Medallion and myself with ample opportunity to walk around the fence assess and discuss the damages together. That was never done!
Finally my immediate question to him... was how do I pay someone, when
1) no invoice was left or documentation of the service?
2) no written explanation as to what was done , when it was done or any details pertaining to to quantity of boards, condition, and placement of this repair.
So how then am I expected to give you my credit card information and pay $250 over the phone for something I have no documentation for?
His response was simply that he informed me of the cost in advance and I verbally confirmed it. My response since he wanted to attempt to mention the law was easy... Yes you are correct it is called an expressed contract which I am very familiar with being a lawyer. But what I am also very familiar with is business practices and my legal right to request a receipt for products and services obtained from a vendor or business owner. I am also interested in you producing a copy of my fence warranty which details the out of pocket costs associated with repairs under warranty.
His response.... I will have to look into it and call you back. Wonder how long I have to wait this time? No worries, because this will be the 1st and last time that I ever do business with this company again.
Horrible customer service! Horrible worth ethic! Horrible quality! Horrible claims/services process! I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemy!

I had been wanting a stone patio for years. Mr. Ed Y[redacted] presented me several options from which to choose. He made it very clear that we can expand the design at anytime keeping us within budget. I signed the contract a little more than a week ago and my fabulous patio was completed today. It took the guys three days to complete the job. It was so professionally done and I am so pleased and excited with the results. A picture speaks a thousand words but the actual finished product made me speechless. And the Clean Up. They left everything spotless. I highly recommend Medallion for all of your improvement needs. I will use them for my walkway next. Thank you so much Medallion for a job well done.

Medallion installed [redacted]'s fence, per contract. There was never any deception on Medallion's part.  Medallion did offer to changeout her 4' high fence to 6' at an additional cost, which she refused.

fence. However, there is an added cost to replace exsisting material along with labor to do so.

Medallion iron products such as security and storm doors, window
guards, iron railing, fencing are covered from structural defects and damage for
a term of ten years. Paint warranties are guaranteed free of charge for 90 days
after installation....

Paint services requested after the 90 day period will be
subject to service charges.

back on Dec. 29, 2007, which means her paint warranty concluded on March 28.
2008, 90 days after her iron products were installed. We are willing to service
[redacted]. [redacted]'s security door and window guards. However, there is a service charge
in amount $2000.00, which we have discounted down to $1500.00, which
she refused. As an option, **. [redacted] can hire an outside contractor to effect
repairs or paint her door and window guards if she opts not to use
our service.

The sales person at Medallion is very aggressive and targets senior citizens with the pitch of 0% interest for 5 years at a "low payment of $83 a month" for a security storm door at a cost of $5000. This is crazy! Me and my senior citizen mother almost fell for it. I called to cancel 1 hour after the sales person left my home and he called back to acknowledge that I wanted to cancel but left a message on my cell that I should reconsider. He proceeded to run my senior citizen mother's credit and Well Fargo sent the credit card in the mail with Medallion as the product with a $5000 credit limit for a door that clearly does not cost $5000. I had to sit online for Wells Fargo service to close the account. The sales person at Medallion is dishonest and does not care at all about senior citizens being in debt on a limited social security income. I spoke to the General Manager and he was apologetic and said he cannot control every one on the sales staff. The sales staff consist of 2 people so this was a poor excuse. Watch out before doing business with Medallion!

I am rejecting this response because:  [redacted] asured me that this matter would be resolved with the company making the gate fence the same height as the fence going across the yard.  [redacted] stated that he also put it in the paperwork that customer wants the fence 6ft ALL the way around.  Eighter [redacted] is a liar or the company has hired someone who misrepresents the facts and integrity of the company.  [redacted] ASSURED me that there would not be a problem in resolving this matter.  I refuse to pay another penny for something that I have already overpaid for and am completely dissatisfied.  There are several reviews on this company with people expressing the same dissatisfaction with this company.  [redacted] stated that [redacted] had no authority to make any decisions on anything of this nature, he specifically told me that and said he would get back to me regarding this matter.  It is evident that this company does not take pride in satisfying their customers after they have taken their money to do a job.  They have no interest in making the situation right after their representative lied repeatedly about the situation.  I would not pay this company one red cent to do another job for me or to correct the job that was done.  Legal action may be necessary to stop this company from ripping people off because there are several bad reviews on the website referencing this company's integrity.
Maybe this letter should go to the owner of this company and I would personally like to know why [redacted] has lied to me and misrepresented the facts in this situation .  I am looking forward to [redacted] EXPLANATION

[redacted] was not lied to.The contract was very clear on what was being purchased.[redacted] signed the contract and did not cancel.When [redacted] called us about turning the four foot high portion of the fence to six foot high we told her, that's not a problem, but Medallion would have to charge her for that change.[redacted] needs to go back and review her contract.[redacted] received everything that was on her contract.Medallion is more than happy to work with [redacted] for any future work that she needs done.Thank You [redacted].
