The tire issue---when we returned it was not weeks later, but the next dayThe tire issue was their fault, but of course, they deny & treat a disabled customer dishonestly & we have no recourse. 2.We spoke with two other mechanics who affirmed the fact that the oil pan is not damaged, but that Meineke failed to replace the washer for the oil plug which left it leaking oilNever in my entire life have I ever had to replace an oil panIt should last a lifetime if the pain has not been punctured by striking an object while drivingThirdly, for a store owner to yell at a customer in front of other customers is abhorrent at best, but to then, demean the same customer to another business owner in the same community is reprehensible behaviorI'm sick of this dishonestyWe aren't the first to complainWe've kept our vehicle in good condition & kept up on preventive maintenanceThe shop owner is blaming the victim. Also, Toyota agrees with us on the oil pan issue: "Contrary to what the Meineke states the oil pan threads do not wear out over time or from the quantity of oil changesThe oil pan threads will strip (be damaged) if the oil plug is tightened too much (too much torque is applied) when installing the plug. On all cars and Toyota’s that our dealer has seen the oil pan plug is sealed from leaking oil with a metal or composite washerThe washer is installed on the plug and seals between the plug head and panThe threads of the plug do not seal the pan as the washer serves this purpose. It is possible someone has over tightened the plug at least once or many times leading the to the threads being strippedIf your oil changes were at this garage, then this damage was done by mechanics at the garage The other question is if the same garage did your changes over a year , why didn’t they bring this up before. Oil pan plugs do not just go bad; the pan threads fail because the plug is over tightened."

I admit that we put a scratch on his passenger side mirror. I handled the matter calmly and professionally, despite his friend's exaggerated reaction. It was on the bottom edge. It was 1 inch long and the thickness of a human hair; only noticeable if someone pointed it out. I did his $100+ oil...

change for free. If the mirror was to be replaced there was always the chance that it would not fit as well, or not match as well. He contacted the Meineke corporate headquarters and they sided with me. Again I apologize to the individual. I will consider this matter closed. Sincerely Steve Gergisch Meineke Car Care of Anthem

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business.  I would like clarification that they agree to pay to have this repair done by an Acura dealership since my experience with Meineke has not given me confidence in their ability to perform this.
