Memphis Men's Clinic Reviews (26)

memphis men's clinic is a rip off plain and simple they are know more then witch doctors or peddlers that sell cure all's stay away from them. They are fast talking Bullsters, when you question them or ask question they get defensive. Far as medications they only have Tri-Mix and Cialis that's it, oh I forgot the wave treatment bogus as well stay away from them you will be very disappointed.

I came to Memphis Men's Clinic after prescribed medication from my internal medicine doctor to solve my ED was not working. I was at wits end and falling into depression, because I could no longer satisfy my lovely wife. Frustration is an understatement.
Dr. J[redacted] helped me understand the medical reason for my condition, helped refine a treatment plan and solved my ED. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
This saved my marriage and gave me back my confidence as a man. I highly recommend Memphis Men's Clinic for men struggling with ED.","pos-3

I did not utilize the medication that was prescribed. It was not necessary for my treatment. The company refuse to provide a refund. I visited the men's clinic on November 11th 2014, I was prescribed [redacted] 200 count for $3,508. This was issued prior to any lab work results. I never used the product due to second thoughts on the injunction procedures. After the lab results returned, it was determined that I just had love testosterone. I notified the men's clinic on several occasions that I was not satisfied with the service I received and didn't want to use the injections. The problem wasn't erectile dysfunction, but low testosterone. I informed them that I will pay for any testosterone shots that I received and any lab work that I may have accumulated. I just don't want to be changed for medicine that I didn't need nor used. Desired Settlement$3,508. refund for medicine that was perscribed for me that I did not used and didn't need. Business Response This complaint is absolutely unfounded. Please allow us to explain. This patient did in fact come to us in early November....for treatment of Erectile Dysfunction (ED). THAT was the main reason he was in our clinic. He did in fact purchase medication from us that he actually got to sample in the clinic to see if it worked. He was very happy with the trial results and what it could do for his ED so he decided to purchase medication. This medication or prescription does not require any sort of lab work, however, our Board Certified Physician always checks a mans levels of Testosterone and PSA (prostate health). When his lab results came back, he was low in Testosterone and actually discussed with us about changing his medication from his ED medicine to just Testosterone Replace Therapy (TRT). We explained that this change will not "fix" his ED as the other medication would, but we obliged him as we want our patients to be happy. This patient came to us for TRT for almost 6 months! At his last visit, he explained he was moving and it would be inconvenient for his continued therapy. We again did everything we could and even offered to ship the patient his medication. Unfortunately, we've done everything we can to help him, and the fact that he'd request a full refund when he'd been using our clinic for over 6 months is a mystery to us all. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have reviewed the response from the Men's Clinic. The information they provided is not completely accurate. I informed them that they can deduct the expenses that may have accumulated over the past months. That has nothing to due with the fact the Men's Clinic is charging me for medicine that I'm not using nor need. The test results showed that I had low testosterone. When given the testosterone injunctions the erectile dysfunction issues were eliminated. By not waiting for proper lab work results and rushing to make a sell. The clinic would have made the proper determination on my status. I'm not requesting the complete amount of the $3,000 plus but I'm requesting the amount due minus the low testosterone treatment. I should not have to pay for medicine that I'm not using nor need. What type of clinic or doctor would charge a patient for medicine that they are not taking nor need. The rush to make a sale or profit should never out weigh the need and care of a patient. I hope no other patients have to go through a quick sells pitch and get rushed into purchasing u wanted or needed medicine. I have made efforts to resolve this situation by offering the men's clinic to deduct the amount they feel I owe them, and give me the remaining balance. I feel this is a fair offer for both parties. This offer is in good faith and should show if the Memphis Men's Clinic are willing to work in good faith for the better of both parties involved. I do not see how a large company will try and strong arm a private citizen over unwanted and un needed medicine. Final Business Response I spoke to the patient on 7/8/15. I explained to him that since we have accommodated and converted his plan over to testosterone, while taking a loss on his already ordered patient specific medication, he would not be a candidate for a refund. Furthermore, since the treatments are successful and are not causing him any detriment, this doesn't constitute treatment failure and no refunds can be offered. I offered to ship him the remaining portion of his Testosterone treatments at our cost to his new address. He understood and agreed to this plan of action. We will ship to him on July 15th 2015: the date he advised was his move in date. This completely fulfills our agreement with him and should close this matter. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

The medicine used by this clinic did not solve my erectile dysfunction. I asked for, but was refused a refund for pre-paid doses I couldn't use. I suffer from erectile dysfunction. The Men's Clinic advertises that they specialize in treatment of men's sexual health namely the treatment of E.D.In most cases, mine included, health insurance does not cover treatment of E.D. They get you in the door with a $200 special which includes an exam, tests and test dose of the medication. The medicine is in the form of injections. However, on the first visit they require that all further visits and medication be pre-paid in advance. Its sold in groups of 100 injections @ $20 each. So you go in expecting to pay $200, but by the time you leave the cost is $2308.00. It should be noted that on the invoice it does say ALL SALES ARE FINAL.I do give them credit as they did try to help me. Unfortunately the medication did not work for me. It also had some very uncomfortable side effects. After further research I have discovered that Dr. Vernon J[redacted] at this clinic is not a Urologist, he is an Internist. Further, it appears that they offer no other type of treatment other than the injections they sell. At least I was never offered any other possibilities.I consulted a certified Urologist at my own expense. He found that I have problems with blood flow and that the injections sold by The Men's Clinic are not capable of helping with my condition. I contacted The Men's Clinic in hopes that they might refund my money for the unused, and unusable my me, injections which I had already paid for. It is a sizable amount of money. However, they refused citing that all sales are final. They did offer to continue testing various formulas on me in hopes that something would work. But as I noted before, the Urologist confirmed that their medicine will not work for me and frankly the side effects are too unpleasant for me to even want to try again.I do not expect to ever receive a refund. I had hoped that a reputable business would make an exception in their refund policy as their product is incapable of helping with my problem. However, that was not the case. For me going to the Men's Clinic was a mistake and an expensive lesson learned the hard way. I write this only for the benefit of others who may be considering going to the Men's Clinic. Do yourself a favor and consult a certified Urologist first. The Men's Clinic is only in the business of selling injections which may or may not work for you. If the injections work for you, then good. If they don't, it will be a costly mistake for you as it was for me. Desired SettlementI do not expect any resolution. The invoice does say that all sales are final. I take full responsibility for making the mistake of going to this clinic. Business Response In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaintCase # XXXXXXXXWe are unhappy to hear that anyone would have a complaint against our office. Mr. [redacted] did in fact come to our clinic for treatment of Erectile Dysfunction. He was able to sample this medication in our clinic, as advertised, before he was given an opportunity to purchase his own medication for home use. He got a very desirable response and was very satisfied with this so he elected to purchase additional medication and treatment.Mr. [redacted] spoke of our advertisement stating there is a $200 office visit fee, which included an exam, test and a test dose of medication. He further states how the medication plans are structured and priced. Mr.[redacted] did willingly purchase additional medication and treatment. This is not a requirement when a patient comes into our office. A patient's only obligation is the 5199 office visit. If a patient elects to purchase additional treatment, it is based on whether that patient got a desirable response, and the doctor's recommendation. Mr. [redacted] chose one of the recommended treatment plans. we have multiple treatment options that all vary in price, depend specifically on the Doctor's recommendation, the activity level of each patient, and the number of doses that the patient wants to purchase.Mr. [redacted] also states in his complaint that our medication does not work for him. While he was here he had a favorable response to the medication. Mr. [redacted] also received a good response during his initial visit, and the medication he purchased was adjusted to give him the type of response he desired for home use. Mr. [redacted] has picked up more medication and seemed to be enjoying treatment. Since Mr. [redacted]'s last visit, we have not heard anything from him until we received this letter. Mr. [redacted] stated he had problems with blood flow: this is one of the causes of erectile dysfunction. He stated that our medication will not work for him, even though we have proven to him that it does, Otherwise, he would not have elected to purchase further treatment. We stand ready to continue treating Mr. [redacted] as outlined in his specific treatment program. We aim to have 100% patient satisfactorily, but we understand with some situations that may not be possible.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do admit that the first test injection did produce a partial erection of perhaps 50%. Although not enough to actually engage in intercourse, I was encouraged enough to purchase the treatment. However, further treatments and many adjustments to the medication failed to produce any better results. At no time during the treatment was I ever able to achieve a sufficient erection suitable for sexual activity. I was never satisfied with the results and I certainly never enjoyed the treatment.I had specifically asked if other treatment options were available and was offered none.Summary: I was misdiagnosed by a doctor who is not certified in the practice of Urology, coerced into purchasing medication incapable of curing my condition and simply lied to. Final Business Response Mr. [redacted] admits that the test dose gave him a response of 50%, which is a very desirable response considering the medical background Mr. [redacted] presented with. A test dose is designed to give a patient a small response to gauge their treatment prognosis. Once Mr. [redacted] took home medication, he states the medication "did not give him a sufficient erection suitable for sexual activity." Our Licensed Physician would need to see the patient in order to adjust his medication to achieve a better erection, but Mr. [redacted] has refused to come into our office. Mr. [redacted] still states that he asked if other treatment options were available and was offered none. This just is not the case. We have other methods of treatment for every patient. However, Mr. [redacted] has refused to come in to see the Doctor. In response to the summary given by Mr. [redacted], our patients our never coerced into buying a medication plan. They are given a test dose of medication to determine if they are treatable or not. They are then guided through the instruction process and presented with multiple treatment options as well as medication packages. Every patient ELECTS on whether they want treatment or not. We have doctors that specialize only in one area and that is men's sexual health and are licensed in the state of Tennessee. We urge Mr. [redacted] to come into our office so our doctor can either adjust Mr. [redacted]'s medication or look toward other options. Clinic DirectorTim W[redacted]

This is my third review after rejection of the other two. I'm a senior open-minded person getting past hip surgery who visited the clinic on the 99 dollar Valentines special. Against my better judgement I allowed Memphis Mens Clinic to demonstrate their Injection Procedure on me. This is their big seller and essentially a trick spring-loaded apparatus that holds a syringe they appear to be proud of. There was a lot of pain and blood involved as a result. I declined their offer for a years supply but did fork over $600 for 12 pills that turned out not to be name-brand at all. This is not a complaint but a heads up. Rick T.","neu-1

If you sign on the dotted line and it never works you are still on the hook for the $2000 prescription. Doesn't matter whether it works or not. Lost $1500 to them and for them it's pure profit because I never received anything that worked.
Yes I know what the law says about no refund in prescriptions but I never received anything that worked. I consider that a ripoff of the higest caliber. Also if you don't like shots in your penis try something else!!!","neg-2

Failure to honor their advertised agreement .We were told we would get results or our money back. We had not results so we told them we would pay them the expense they had been out which was about $600.00 and we would be refunded about $1700.00. Now they will not refund us. I have even suffered physical damage from their procedures.Desired SettlementWe only want to be refunded for the amount we did not use. We would have gladly paid if it had worked. They told us they had been out about $600.00 so they would owe us about $1700.00.

False advertising on hours for appointments and lack of customer serviceFor sometime I have had a problem that needed to be checked out by a doctor and I heard them advertise on the radio. So I went yesterday hoping to be seen but was turned away when I arrived at a little after 4pm and was told if I came back today I would be seen so I called hoping to get in at 3:30 and was turned away again cause their was no openings til Wednesday and I don't don't know my schedule from day to day. Their advertising and website clearly state that no appointment is needed and walk ins are welcome. I honestly wish they would be open on Saturday to help us that can't come in the times they have appointments Desired SettlementI just want to be seen and see what's wrong but I am trying to work on getting in and I would hope they would be able to work with me Business Response Contact Name and Title: Clinic Director [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]We, at the Memphis Men's Clinic, try our best to accommodate every patient that walks through our doors. We do accept walk-in patients, but we also highly encourage all of our patients to make an appointment to secure a spot. Unfortunately when Mr. [redacted] came to our office we had all exam rooms full and due to the time that he arrived (4:15-4:30) we would not have had enough time to perform a thorough examination so we rescheduled him for a later date.

This company is full of trickery, there is something going on that's going to be expose sooner or later. Make sure u read every thing b4 u sign, and make sure u know how much your service is going 2b before u give them your credit card. I was told my bill was 238.00 and did not check, my paper work was given 2 me folded up. when I finally notice it was over 2,000. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO WITH YOUR HARD EARN MONEY.","neg-3

The Memphis Men's Clinic is not a professional company in my opinion. I went there late July of 2014 and went thru the in house procedure and so forth. I felt bullied when it came time to talk about the price for future products and was told I could get a refund for the product amount I did not use. I signed up for a years worth and HAD to pay for it in advance and in full. This should have been my red flag telling me Not to go forth with their products or services. But I did and now I cannot use their product and when I contacted them regarding a refund since I have not used any of the product, I was told there will be no refund. All sales are final I was told. I spent over 4k for a product I am not going to use and I feel this is very unprofessional. I would never do this in my business but I guess they feel they are above everyone. This will not be the only place I will be posting this review of a poorly run company.","neg-4

About three years ago, when I was 60, Viagra stopped working for me. It had worked well for a few years, but then it had no effect. For two years my wife and I went without sex. It was killing me! When I heard about Memphis Men's Clinic, I thought it sounded too good to be true, but with their promise to let you try it in the office to make sure it would work, I was willing to give it a try. I am so glad I did! They gave us our love life back. It is not a perfect solution; it may take a little tweaking of dosages, but it does work! It is not cheap either, but I was at the point where I would have given anything to make love with my wife again. I suggest you take some lubrication with you to your first visit because you will want to use what they are able to demonstrate for you! (There is a lockable restroom right across the hall from their door. Stop in and enjoy yourself!)","pos-4

The product (Tri- mix) does not work as promised. I was told my medicine would provide roughly 1 hour erection. Both my test does St the office and a dose I took at home, have provided 7-8 hour painful erections along with great difficulty peeing. This is not what I signed up for. In the interest of full disclosure, I did call 2 days after my office visit and ask for a refund as I knew the Tri mix was not going to address my lack of libido and was told by John that I was on the hook. I didn't push the issue as perhaps wine can fix that. I am guessing the will sing the same tune when I call them on Monday. Avoid Tri-mix like the plague gentlemen, it ant worth $20 much less $2000.00","neg-1
