Meraki Solar Reviews (%countItem)

The Sales agent working with Meraki had sold us too many solar panels for our size roof and the agent had promised us refrigerated air. Never done.
We were sold the solar panels back in October of 2018 by *** the sales agent for Meraki. He had promised refrigerated air along with the panels. The panels were installed on January 3, 2019. We have worked with *** for months and refrigerated air was never installed. He over sold us in the amount of solar panels. We should have half the amount of solar panels on the roof. We were financed through LoanPal and ERU's Energy is the company who installed the solar panels. I feel they should have caught the discrepency in the amount of solar panels that was installed. Now they say nothing is wrong with the amount we have. I feel we were scammed by the company.

Desired Outcome

I want them to put the correct amount of solar panels for our size home. Our neighbor has the exact same floor plan as us and has half the solar panels. He had it installed with ERU's Energy. I want them to fix the amount. We were oversold on solar panels. We got a lawyer regarding the issue, but they are not wanting to fix problem.

Meraki Solar Response • Jul 29, 2019

On behalf of Meraki, we apologize that you have been having these issues with your solar experience. Per the independent contractor you worked with, he has reached out to you to fulfill the refrigerated air promise. As a dealer we try to ensure that every customer gets a system size that best fits their needs. System size is determined by 12 months of usage prior to getting solar. The average usage of 12 months will determine the number of panels used to generate the necessary amount of power to reach the desired offset. Usage is one of the biggest factors in designing a system, as it is specific to the customer. Permitting for the solar process, particularly in El Paso, is quite vigorous. If there were too many panels for your home the city would have denied permitting. Erus was your installer and the holder of your contract. Please reach out to Erus for any concerns regarding your contractual agreement at XXX-XXX-XXXX.

The salesman at Meraki never put in the refrigerated air. He kept putting us off. He kept setting a date for installation and no one ever showed up. Right in front of my husband and mother - in- law he assured them that the air would be done on May 18. Never happened, so no he did not reach out to us like he the said. Nothing ever came of it. Plus, they put way too many panels for the refrigerated air. My neighbor has exact same model of house and refrigerated ac and he only has 20 panels on his roof. We have double the panels. I am adding a letter from my neighbors and uploading an estimate of what we should have. I feel we were scammed. I also added a link of another estimate for solar panels that was done too. Here's the link https://www.solar-estimate.org/solar-estimate-results/psp68mbybnfwikmy?cnsmr=1 . It has an estimate of my house.

Document Attached***
Please find attached design plans from Erus Energy the install company. The home per the contract purchased a 8.13 kw system the panels installed were 25 Hanwha q cells. 25 panels at 325 would be a 8.125 system size. I have attached a copy of the design so the homeowner can see that he only has the 25 panels that he agreed to.
Also I would like to make the home owner aware that EPE will not PTO any system that is oversold this keeps the homeowner protected from what he seems to think happened.
We are here to help in any way we can. Please let us know what we can do to help this homeowner understand that he should only have a total of 25 panels on his roof and we are not sure where the panel count is coming from.

Colorado Springs region. Offered solar by an associate, and had some more technical questions. District manager was involved, stated he would check my credit. Specified it would not be a credit inquiry, that there was no risk and no impact on my credit.
Did not authorize a "hard" credit inquiry. Did not sign anything. Did not provide my full social security number.
Later on, received an email notification from my credit monitoring that I had a new credit inquiry and that it would remain . Meraki Solar lied to me and performed an unauthorized credit inquiry.

+1

They were suppose to give me a check and some light bulbs and the salesman kept them and quit and also lied about what I was suppose to pay
They were suppose to give me a check and some light bulbs and the salesman names *** kept them and quit and his co worker *** said he would send a new a check and the light bulbs and never did and stopped answering our calls and blocked our numbers and they also lied about what I was suppose to pay they offered me the solar system saying I was going to pay less than what I pay to el paso electric and now im going to end up paying more than double we talked to their supervisor and said he was going to fix this problem never did and stopped answering the phone to us aswell

Desired Outcome

i just want out contract canceled i dont want anything to do with them

Hello, thank you for your feedback, we have looked into this and contacted your Sales Rep, we are working to fix this, so that we may further assist you, please give our headquarters a call at (XXX) XXX-XXXX, and my Director of Sales Support will be more than willing to take care of this issue for you.

I trusted Meraki Solutions on my Solar Panel Installation and it turned out to be a nightmare. very stressful and disappointing situation.
I was visited by *** mid June 2018 who provided a consultation on Solar Panels for our home. We proceeded to accept and our credit was ran. We got the Solar panels installed late in July due to an oversight on our application and then due to more paperwork needed. we were fine with that, we understood oversights happen. However, after that installation, nothing ever happened, we were not in a rush. In September we received a bill for the panels due on October 20 2018, our panels still not operable and I proceeded to contact the consultant *** at XXX-XXX-XXXX but was at first unable to get in touch with him so I called the Erus Energy who installed the panels. I was promised a refund of $123.43 which is our monthly payment. no refund ever came however *** did write us a check for the amount of $123 to cover the October bill and promised to stay in touch until this was resolved. on November X XXXX, *** forwarded me a message from Erus which I quote said "We are waiting on the town of Socorro to release the passed inspection to EPE so they will set the meter. Her next payment is due on 11/15. If the meter is not set by then Erus will make her next payment for her". November 15 came and passed and *** sent me a text on November 19 that Erus will be in fact reimbursing me the $123.43 and that was the last message/call I ever received from *** I texted him on November 29, December 5 and on December 7 and all went unanswered. I never got a reimbursement or explanation as to why it all went down hill as it did. let me add that I finally got the panels operable the end of November but my initial complaint was never resolved. I will not be recommending Meraki Solutions to anyone. Worst experience in my life so far.

Desired Outcome

per the contract i signed with Meraki and Erus Energy, i was not to make a payment until 60 days after operable system. my system was operable the end of November 2018. i would like November's, December's and January's Bills covered in full to fulfill that contract. it is not fair that i have to pay for their oversight.

Meraki Solar Response • Jan 04, 2019

Hi ***,

I have looked into your concerns and I apologize that things have not worked out the way the sales rep has promised you. I want to assure you that we take concerns like this very seriously. With that said, Sunlight your loan company does bill 60 days once the system is installed. I show that your system was installed on the 20th of August. This means you would have gotten your first bill in November which is when you did. We can not cover bills that you signed to pay for. I also show that your system was turned on in November so everything should be good to go for you. Please let me know if there are anymore concerns.

Customer Response • Jan 08, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
thank you for your quick response. your information is not accurate. my system was installed the end of July no August. Our first bill was in October not November. either you are looking at the wrong account of our information was altered to justify your wrong doing. I have attached several forms, emails and my contract to prove so. My salesman, Sean Sandoval, promised a reimbursement for the month of November and he stopped responding to my texts and calls to avoid giving me a reimbursement. this is no longer about money to us, me and my husband, it is about integrity. we are honest people and the stress and humiliation we have received from Meraki Solutions is out of hand. I just hope my review helps other customers in that they will chose another Solar company for their solar panel's installation. I recommend the installations of solar panels but I will never recommend Meraki Solutions for that matter. I recommended a couple of family members to get their panels installed but I am happy to say that they went with a different provider and one even got 2 months of their electric bill paid for upfront. again thanks for your quick response and hope my review gets posted for others to see.

I was quite impressed with Vincent *** presentation. He articulates effectively the complexities surrounding the topic of solar energy. In addition, his smile and eye contact makes you feel comfortable and conveys a sense of trust.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with ***. I was a bit apprehensive when *** came to the House wanting to speak to me about Solar Power. I'm glad I took the time to listen to to what *** has to say. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any and all questions or concerns I had. A Huge Thank you to *** for lowering my monthly Electric Bill to almost nothing. It's been a pleasure ***........ Thank You.

Noah was very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of our questions and the process went just as he explained. If they did not know the answer they knew where to get answers and always responded in a timely manner. The installers, Mike and the others seemed to work quickly and efficiently. All were very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this company if you are interested in switching to solar power.
Thank you Meraki!

Vincent was extremely knowledgeable, saved us from getting into a bad solar plan with another vendor! Excellent service and great representative for Meraki! Everyone should do business with Vincent! He is honest and trustworthy!

This company issued a contract in my name committing fraud, a hard credit check was run without consent a contract was issued w/o consent.
A guy by the name of *** was outside gate being persistent on comparing cost of solar and electric approximately around September 19th. I showed him electric bill. He said he would get back to me. On XXXXXX he showed up outside again did not want to leave stayed like for 2 to 3 hours outside. He never gave me numbers yet on how much equipment was only said I would pay approximately 70 per month. I told him I needed in writing gave him my email address. He showed up with other guy being very pushy outside my property by my rock wall again and wanted me to say yes when they hadn't provided me with any written information, documentation nothing. The must of thought I was dumb to say yes without any information in writing. *** had a laptop with him and he was supposedly sending me information on solar how much it would be and for how many years. The other guy kept wanting me to give them my social security number and I said I don't give that out to no one. I told them I am not ordering anything yet. They supposedly emailed me information only and left. I constantly check my credit thru credit karma I have the application on my phone. I gave them an email address I don't use which is ***@outlook.com. *** from telephone number XXXXXXX-XXXX kept calling me and I wouldn't answer. He texted me I ignored as I was nor am I ready to purchase anything as I'm on unemployment I told them. I found a hard credit check on my credit thru Transunion and it was a company called LOANPAL. I checked to see what it was for and found out it was for solar panels. I was livid!! I finaly opened email thru outlook that I never use because I use my Gmail for everything, and I found a contract in my name for $17,282.00!!!! It was issued on October October the 3rd,2018 and they conveniently signed my name since it shows it is thru DOCUSIGN. I never authorized a credit check much less a hard credit check as I have excellent credit. I already place a fraud on my credit report, but I need this fixed. I never authorized anything. The information that Meraki was to send me I never received. I called the number listed for Meraki and someone in Florida answers very rude. The contract shows an *** as the "energy consultant" It is either the guy by the name of Jose or his boss the pushy man that came with him. This is disgusting behavior and who knows who else they have done this too.

Desired Outcome

I need them to cancel the fake contract and to corect the hard credit check they issued without permission. I never gave them a social security number. I worked with Southwestern Bell/ATT for 20 years and thats what I did issued credit checks for customers. I know better than to give out that type of information. DOB, SSN and my Full name *** M ***. They signed my name the wrong way that I sign and spelled it out as Rose

Our sales rep met with Mrs. Mrs. Rose *** gave our rep her social security number for a soft credit check to see if she would qualify for financing of solar. Mrs *** read the contract on her computer, signed through DocuSign and returned the contract. I have documentation of the IP address that produced the contract. We have cancelled Mrs. contract. Not for fraud, but because she is still within her right to cancel the contract. We have not committed fraud nor fraudulently induced her to sign a contract. When Mrs. Gonzales called our headquarters, she was very rude. We have several recorded calls to document our conversations with her.

I NEED A CONFIRMATION LETTER THAT THE FAKE CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED. I DONT TRUST ANYONE FROM THAT COMPANY. MIKOL WAS NOT THERE THEREFORE HAS NO SAY IN WHAT HAPPENED. I STAND MY GROUND ON ME NEVER EVER GIVNIG THEM MY SSN I AM NOT AN IT THATS FOR SURE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THAT REGIONAL MANAGER *** OBTAINED FROM. I WILL NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF WHEN I HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT CREDIT RATING. NO ONE HAS TO TELL ME WHETHER I QUALIFY FOR A PRODUCT OR NOT. I KNOW I QUALIFY, THEREFORE NO NEED TO GIVE MY SSN WITHOUT HAVING SEEN ANY OF EITHER PRICE, CONTACT, TERMS AND CONTIONS. IT IS RIDICULOUS.

My wife had many questions and was even skeptical. We did our homework and found positive information and reviews about Meraki and the solar industry that they work with. Christian and his associates answered many questions on two different nights and won my wife's trust. We feel like we have invested in a solar system that will benefit us in many ways over the years. Thanks for your expertise!

These guys were amazing! Informative, professional, and personable. They pay attention, are willing and able to answer any and all questions, and happy to keep in touch if you need help at a later date.

The team we met at Meraki Solar was very professional and easy to work with. This was the sales team. We will be able to review the Engineering and Installation teams later.

Aaron Lopez was a blessing to come in contact with. He explained everything three times and made me even more confident in my decision to go solar!!! Can't wait for the savings. Then you Mr. Lopez I can't wakt to let all my family know about you.

Great job. Explained everything really.

Contracted to have Solar Panels installed back in early February, Panels installed early March, now end of August and system still not connected
A Meraki Solar sales rep came by the house talking about Solar energy, gave my wife and I the company spiel, we liked what we heard, made appointment for a free quote, got the quote, it was $XX,XXX for 15 panels for 25 years. The deal was they would install the panel in a week or two, they get it inspected by the city and state and then El Paso Electric Company(that would take the longest, because Meraki was taking there business). AND THAT I WOULD BE UP AND RUNNING IN A MONTH TO A MONTH IN A HALF. I agreed to the deal, (WORST THING I COULD'VE EVER DONE). This was back in FEB 2018, PANELS INSTALLED AT THE BEGINNING OF MARCH. TODAY IS 22/AUG/18 AND STILL NOT CONNECTED.They are very proactive in calling you when it benefits their needs, but once the finance was all signed, I got a call from the project manager *** she told me she would get everything I needed to get me up and running in no time, if I needed anything to call her. Month passed, don't hear from Meraki, so I call, the receptionist answered, was told Kathy was not available, she will call you back, two days later she calls, she tells me the city inspector is back up, another month goes by, same excuse, city inspector, another month goes by, same excuse, city inspector, this time she tells me he only works three days out of the week, three weeks pass *** calls from Meraki on updates, so I call, receptionist answers, she tells me that *** is busy and will pass *** the message to call me back, she never calls me back. Now it's mid Jun and still waiting to get connected. And here I wanted to get connected before summer hit, so I could get the benefits of my new Solar Panels. NO SUCH *** LUCK. July now and still no calls, so I call them, like always, *** informs me that she has good news, I sarcastically say I'm I getting connected tomorrow!, no, state inspector is coming by your house, we are sending a guys to put up a ladder so he can inspect roof and panels, ladder up for about a week (6 1/2 days). No calls on updates about inspection, so I call, normal receptionist doesn't answer, some young man answers, I explain to him what's been going on with my system, he tells me he will pass *** the information to *** no call back from *** So now I'm calling once a week just to try to get information from anyone.Same young man answers, transfers me to *** she informs me that she has good news, again I sarcastically say I'm I getting connected tomorrow!, no, she tells me that ELP Electric is coming by to inspect so I can get connected. A week later ELP Electric comes and inspects, I get an email form ELPE small renewable department stating Inspection was REJECTED!!!, (wrong wire gage used) I call *** tell her the situation, she tells me she would get someone to fix the problem. was told problem was fixed, Aug now and still no re-inspection, call *** (by now, I know she hate me call her) young man answers, tells me she's in a meeting, but can he help, I tell him about the ELPE inspection failure and when are they going to reschedule a re-inspection? At this point I am so fed up with Meraki that I regret ever talking to these people, so of course I take out my frustrations on the young man, feel bad for him, (he tells me he understands my frustration), I had to vent, I calmed down, we talk and he tells me that they have rescheduled a re-inspection, week passes, 15 Aug 2018 and ELPE comes to re-inspect, as I'm pulling into my driveway, they're driving out, I park, my cell dings email notification, I check it's from ELPE small renewable department stating that the Inspection was REJECTED again!!! (this time it's the Neutral was not landed on the isolated bus in the disconnect)(WTF). I wait, another week gone by, no call from Meraki on re-inspection. Tired of calling, only calls left is to a lawyer and Revdex.com of EL Paso, see what advice they have. A few of my neighbors have asked about Maraki Solar, I told then if they stop by tell them to leave and not come back.

Desired Outcome

Finish the Job... Refund for the 5 months of electric bills that Solar Panel would have covered...

Meraki Solar Response • Aug 24, 2018

Hi Mr.,

I am glad I got to speak with you personally on the phone. First of all, I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced thus far. At Meraki we pride ourselves in happy customers. Unfortunately, you have been paying two bills now for a few months and we would love to compensate you for anything past the 90 day mark.

One of our policies at Meraki is covering any loan bills dated 90 days from contract signing. We do this because there are certain situations where it does take a bit longer to get the system turned on and this is our way of showing you that we are willing to be responsible for the time delay. Our goal is to get your solar system up and running as soon as possible. I will personally work with Kathy from Erus to see what more we can do to expedite your project as well as reimburse you for past loan bills so that this isn't as stressful of a time for you.

We appreciate your business and I hope through my efforts that we can turn this experience from the worst decision to the best decision you have made. Thank you for taking my call and the time to read this.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Got a call from ***, General Manager at Meraki Solar, she informed me that in my complaint I said Merarki, but in fact it should've been the sub-contractors name, but I have a contract with Meraki Solar not the sub-contractor, she told me that it's there policy that if it goes over 90 days they pay for the solar panels so you only make 1 payment, I was never told that before that day. Here is 2 Sept. 2108 and I am still not connected. So no matter what I say or who I talk too, I'm still not getting connected so I can finally use my Solar Panels the way they are meant to be used, and not only as paper weights... they haven chosen to pay the lesser of the 2 Bill's, I bet I would get connected a lot faster if they were paying my Electric bill... So I was thinking that I was now in there radar and making a fuss that they would have my up and running just to shut me up... I was wrong. Guess I have to go talk to a lawyer about this ***...

Meraki Solar Response • Sep 06, 2018

Hello Mr.,

I apologize that you are still unsatisfied. As promised we will cover any bills related to the solar loan until the system is running. this way you essentially are just paying for the power like you were previously. I have reached out to Erus Energy again and they should be in contact with you shortly to give you a status update on your account. Feel free to reach out to me directly with any other questions or concerns.

I did a research on several solar companies before I choose Meraki, and I am really glad I found the right solar company for my home, Jesus was on detail of how the solar works and was really professional with the presentation and also very friendly.
I really recommend this company if you want to start saving on your electric bill.

Carlos Orozco was very helpful in all the process on switching to solar.

This is by far one of the amazing and superb business I have dealt with in regards to installing Solar panels and financing for our home(we have contacted at least 3 companies for assistance in the area and they were total crap). The representative was very thorough in explaining the process of installation and how we wouldn't have to come out of pocket or upfront for anything due to being backed by the government. He explained the numbers so that we understood completely and to show us there was no hidden fees. I am so glad they came to visit us because this will definitely benefit our family in so many ways. We appreciate your company and the support you provided in lowering our electricity bill.

Thanks a bunch

The "A" Fam

Amazing customer service

Jonathon was really great at providing the knowledge we needed about going solar. He answered any questions or concerns that we've had and never was pushy! Definitely will be recommending to others!
