Review: I purchased a 2003 [redacted] from Mercedes of Fairfield on May 3,2012 with full confidence that the vehicle which displayed, "AMG," and ,"Special Edition," on the rear and side of the vehicle respectively, represented what was indicated on the vehicle, which I never questioned. In fact, the car is not an AMG or a Special Edition. The only way I found out that I did not have the AMG feature happened as a result of the fact that the reflector on the rear brake light cracked and when I went to [redacted] Mercedes Benz to replace it, they told me it was not an AMG. I then checked the internet and found that the Special Edition feature was not even in existence until 2004. Both AMG and Special Edition represent a more expensive and valuable car. The point I am making is that Mercedes of Fairfield sold me a car which I thought until last Friday, Sept. 20th, 2013, was a model completely different from the model it actually is. It would have been simple for the dealership when detailing the car before offering it for sale to remove all misrepresentations but they neither did that nor did they ever represent to me except by not including those items (meaning AMG and Special Edition) on the bill of sale. I would never have known that they needed to be included. I thought I was dealing with a trustworthy and reputable dealer which was why I went to Mercedes of Fairfield and paid a good amount of money for the car rather than buying it from a used car dealer or a private individual. Instead I was deceived in my purchase of the car.Desired Settlement: I am sure something can be worked out. The dealer should at least be accountable for the mistakes made on the sale of this vehicle for which I paid $14,716.
