Mercedes Benz of Greenwich Reviews (28)

I spoke with this client a couple of times. I gave him service credit and fixed  a few items for free. He said the truck is running great. We stand behind our products
and clients. He told me he would retract this complaint after our last conversation . I believe he...

will.
  Thanks

Review: I originally went to dealer to see (2) pre owned C 300's that were available all weekend but when I got there Monday morning "They were sold" Hum!!!. In short I was told by sales person they are gone..? Hum. So my son & I tested and bought a 2007 [redacted]. for sale price and show on computer screen a CAR-FAX by the salesperson saying car was never hit, etc. Now learning a month & a 1/2 later has damage in the Thousands that the used auto manager and sales person said they showed me with pricing. Having problems with pre-owned sales force and pre-owned Sales manager regarding a used auto sale to me at the end of December 2015 regarding what they said was wrong with the auto on paper with prices to repair/replace… was never shown or given that inspection paper to go over. If I knew of this list, I would have bought another Mercedes Benz or negotiated a better price. I now have a 2016 [redacted] loaner for 10 days and still waiting on the Main Sales Manager to settle or fix the auto and condition of a car they never should of let the auto off the lot to a customer. The main Sales Manager now that if he knew this he would of WHOLESALED the car out.. I went there instead of 2 Benz dealers in [redacted] and a better $25K convertible Benz waiting for me from [redacted] Mercedes Benz. My trust is broken. Please help.Desired Settlement: fix the auto or sell me a different auto.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. [redacted] and I have settled most of my concerns on this vechile. Leary about what was not done and we'll go from there. Hopefully, amicablly. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: On 1/4/2014, I called the dealership regarding a 2010 Used [redacted] A4 that was priced for $18,489. I was told by the sales associate that it was still available. I asked if I needed to print out the online ad for them to honor the price. He said "no, the dealership honors the price shown without the ad." Fortunately, I took pics of the ad including price, mileage, vin # and stock #. They are saved on my computer. When I got to the dealership, the sales staff made me wait for over 30 mins before the sales rep introduced himself. He then told me they were having trouble finding the car I was looking for, but if I "bear with them" they will keep looking. In the meantime, the sales rep tried convincing me to consider a lease for a brand new Mercedes with a MUCH higher monthly payment than the used [redacted]. He said he'd be right back, he just had to put together some numbers for the lease. I said that would be fine, but only because I was waiting for them to find the [redacted]. I ended up waiting over an hour. At that point, the sale rep came back and informed me they could not find the car. I inquired where it could be if their system was still showing it was available. He blamed the maintenance staff for not being thorough in checking the used car lots. He told me he was sorry for the inconvenience. I left my name and number so he could let me know if the car was found. The next day, I checked the dealership website and saw that the car was still available. However, it was now priced at $25,135! I compared this new ad to the photos I had taken the day before. This higher priced audi was not only the same year, make and model, but also the exact same mileage, vin # and stock #. The dealership clearly has not lost the car. Instead, they are now asking for a $6,646 increase in price. On Monday, the sale rep called me and left a voicemail stating that the car had been sold. I have the voicemail saved as well as the photos. Not only did they waste my time, they blatantly lied to me.Desired Settlement: I would like the dealership to honor the original $18,489 ad price. However, I want to be assured in writing and pictures that the car will be in the same condition as it is right now and not replaced with worse parts (ex. tires, etc) as a result of me pursing this claim. I want the opportunity to inspect the car in order to make an informed decision on whether to purchase it. Most of all, I would greatly appreciate the truth and to be treated with respect.

Response:

This car is sold. It is no longer in our inventory. We do experience some delay of taking a car off the internet. I apologize for any inconvience this might cause.

Review: I have owned two 2004 e-320 Mercedes Wagons, both experienced at different times the exact same fuel system problem. I would start to smell strong gas fumes inside the back seat and interior of my car every time I filled the tank and the oder would remain until the gas level went down. In 2012 my first Mercedes was diagnosed by my mechanic as having a faulty fuel system and replaced the pumps. He found gas around the fuel pump area under my back seat where my child's car seat was.

In 2014, my second Mercedes e-320 wagon started having the same issue. I smelt fuel in the rear seat area. the car started driving funny and then stopped. I had it towed to Mercedes and they diagnosed it as a fuel pump failure. I bought the parts and had the car repaired at my local mechanic. A week later, I got a recall notice saying that ll cars of my make model and year had a safety recall and warrantee and would be repaired or reimbursed if the repairs had been done prior to the notice. I submitted all the required receipts and documents and Mercedes has refused to acknowledge my claim or reimburse me. when I call the dealer they tell me to call corporate, when I call Mercedes corporate they tell me to call the dealer. They are systematically giving the run around to avoid having to cover the defective system that could have resulted in the death of my children and myself.Desired Settlement: I would like the reimbursement on the parts and labor for both of my cars that experienced this fuel system issue.

Review: I signed for a warrenty and after the fact the company does explain that this is for a outside contract instead of Mercedes Benz. When I signed the contract the contractor did not tell me this. Now I have a warrenty issue and the compay will not help me.Desired Settlement: I would like to pull back my Warrenty.

Response:

[redacted] was here with me on Saturday. We did explain to the clients that this is an aftermarket company that handles the warranty. The vehicle was purchased AS IS and according to Ct law is road safe.

We are assisting [redacted] with a satellite radio problem that the warranty does not cover. The complaint is unfair and without merit. However we will assist this client in any way possible .

Thank You

Review: I think I was treated unfaithfully with the dealership. Firstly, I told the dealership that I will be getting the black vehicle, and when I went up and pay for the deposit they told me the black car was sold - without any prior notice. Then, the business manager mistook the interest rate and the duration of the auto loan. Finally, I left the dealership with the car but with not contract or any other proof of purchase. I tried to contact them afterwards, however, they are not very responsive. I am very disappointed in this dealership, and in the brand of Mercedes Benz in general.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive an apology from the dealership and the Mercedez Benz headquarter for explanation.

Response:

I left messages for this client. I am sure we can resolve this quickly, once I speak with him. Thanks .

Purchased a [redacted] A week or so later the vehicle was found to have damage. The dealer refused to cover the repair. This vehicle did not meet the [redacted] standards yet it was sold as such. This dealer has no integrity. I was robbed without a gun.
