deciding to do business with a particular business. When a specific review(s) is brought to our attention, we conduct a review before determining whether the review should be removed. Since we are attempting to balance the interests of consumers who need unbiased information with that of businesses that are preserving a particular reputation, we often consider the weight of each review and will remove if the review is in clear violation of our terms of use. While most of the requests we receive are pretty straight forward or involve a singular review, Mr. [redacted]'s listing is particularly concerning given the volume and similarity of the feedback. Without further information from Mr. [redacted] to either disprove or demonstrate the invalidity of the claims made in the reviews there is concern on our end that our customers would be misled if this information was redacted. That said, we will undertake to perform the following two actions: 1) confirm if the IP addresses are identical across differing reviewers; and 2) remove reviews from the same reviewer. The first action will enable us to see whether Mr. [redacted] is the victim of a scorned customer that is posting reviews under different aliases. The second action will eliminate the volume of negative reviews as there does seem several posts were made contemporaneous in time and contain similar feedback. In the interim, if Mr. [redacted] would like to provide information and other materials that disprove these claims, we are more than happy to consider this as part of the evaluation.

Once again not only does this person violate the terms in the agreement,but they are posting illegal activity. I have never been convicted of a crime or a mistaken crime towards several false arrests. For this pbx83 or this Joseph Sole guy who I had done business with and we had our differences his postings are untrue and needs to be brought to my attention before posting to save the merchant for any lawsuits. The mug shot postings and slander is totally illegal in regards to their terms.
I want all inquiries removed and do not want anything to do with merchant circle. Merchant Circle doesn't even have my correct information. Thank you Bibb for your time.

Our standard practice is to consider requests to remove user generated reviews and use our discretion in determining whether such reviews warrant removal. Typically, we will remove reviews if they are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or objectionable. While we agree that one of the reviews, from [redacted] on December 10, 2011, has content not relevant to the quality and performance of the business, we believe the rest have merit unless Mr. [redacted] is able to provide evidence to the contrary. We will be reaching out to Mr. [redacted] directly on April 9, 2015, to confirm the URL where the questionable reviews appear and to request him to provide evidence that the allegations made in the reviews are false in nature. As to Mr. [redacted]'s claims that we charge $34.95 for support, I am not sure where this belief comes from. While we have several services we provide for a fee, support, and review removal for that matter, are not based on a paid subscription or fee to MerchantCircle. Lastly, we are unsure where the 900 number indicated in the complaint derives from. There is a contact us section on our site where an email may be submitted to address issues and concerns.
