Meyer Skidmore & Co. Quality Hardwood Floors

I am somewhat confused. I did reject the $559.33 offer, but never received the $929.33 offer, which I would have accepted (please provide me we with substantiation that this offer was made. I do not have any record of it.). The depth of the issue is a lot deeper than Skidmore's response. First off, I am really concerned that Skidmore can buy an A+ rating by asking me to retract my review.  Seriously, is this permitted by the Revdex.com? Their work is their work, and it needs to exist on its merits. Assuming, that Myers Skidmore does actually pay the $928.33, that they said they offered, I will gladly post notices on all of the social media, and consumer outlets saying that we have reached a satisfactory resolution, but I will not retract any reviews of their work or performance. This commitment only is extended to Myers Skidmore. I will not retract any reviews of the work done, and this commitment does not extend to [redacted]. Their work was connected, but includes a larger number of issues that do not fully relate to this compliant.  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution of paying $929.33 to resolve the issue is satisfactory to me.

This has been an ongoing issue for a couple of weeks now. We started with the job knowing we had a little bit of concrete leveling to do. leveling concrete is and will be a very messy project. We wanted to plastic off the areas around the kitchen we were working in to contain the dust. In our...

contract it states that dust containment is only 90% effective and we will clean up anything that is left. We did just that. Cleaned up the mess. Sometimes, it can happen that we miss a few spots. [redacted] (General Contractor) and I told [redacted] and [redacted] that we could come over the very next day to take a look at the mess. Not "one week later." [redacted] got very defensive and refused us to come over to look before we pay people to clean his home for him. He never had to "live in a mess for a week." Because he refused this cleaning work, I am not willing to pay him extreme amounts.The "Extra" tiles was never discussed with me, ever. I never agreed to order extra for [redacted], he never asked Meyer Skidmore. When Meyer Skidmore got to the job, the materials were already there on the job. The General Contractor bought them and dropped them off. We did not buy them or discuss anything about extra. Every contractor I have ever worked with always orders 10% extra for waste. Not extra to keep. There is no contract anywhere that states he wanted extra for himself. I told [redacted] that I was not comfortable paying for any of his meals outside of his own kitchen because it was totally usable. There was light weight painters plastic draped over the counter tops and cabinets, and we rolled it up every night to make sure he could use his kitchen until we returned the following morning. Expecting to be paid $150 per hour to clean is insane. [redacted] refused to let us come take care of it the following day ourselves. It says in our contract that "we are not professional movers" and we are "not liable for damages". It also states "$40 per hour per guy will be charged for any moving." That was never billed to [redacted] or [redacted]. They got that moving service for free. This is an insurance claim job. The family never paid a dime out of pocket for this job. Meyer Skidmore has an A+ Revdex.com rating and strive ourselves on our excellent work and customer service. We tried to solve this with [redacted], we offered him money in return, we offered cleaning, and a resolution. He has refused unless we pay $930 and is going to ruin our reputation as an outstanding small company in the process is very upsetting to us. This was a tiny job that did not even cost his insurance company $930 total for the floor fix.Most of this has been dealt with [redacted], not Meyer Skidmore and Company. We feel that the only reason [redacted] is going after us all of a sudden is because [redacted] with [redacted] does not have an online presence and [redacted] cannot attack him at this time. I hope we can resolve this matter as soon as possible so that we do not have any bad marks on our Revdex.com rating or elsewhere.

I am speechless on [redacted] and [redacted]'s actions at this point. A phone call was made to [redacted] about the cleaning that I requested a visit the very next day to look and clean. I have personally emailed [redacted] to try and settle up with the $929.33. While he is running this smear campaign, I have asked him if I pay him what he is asking, if he will take down all negative reviews. He has declined that offer. So, with that being said, I am not comfortable giving him almost $1000 and to get bad reviews on all social media and review sites. I had an original offer to [redacted] for $559.33 that is for all meals, lodging, and cleaning. The cleaning at $40 per hour for two guys to clean. [redacted] asking $150 an hour for cleaning is absolutely out of control. Moving furniture is not apart of our bid. It states at the bottom of the bid that "we are not professional movers and we charge $40 per hour per guy" [redacted] was never charged for moving furniture so we did not move anything for him, nor move anything back. Moving furniture is not apart of his bid whatsoever. When [redacted] declined $559.33 we then offered $929.33 with the hopes he would take down all reviews. He declined. Attached is his flooring bid. The entire bid does not even come to what he is asking for. I also need to pay my guys that did the work. I had the owner of the company come take a look while we were doing the work and he got a laser level out. The floor was 100% level. [redacted] said it wasn't and wanted more work to be done that's why it took an extra couple of days. This has gone to a whole level it shouldn't have. [redacted] B with [redacted] is not my employee. He hired us for the work. This is his job and his customer that he used us for a subcontractor. Because [redacted] does not have an online presence, [redacted] has decided to go after us with his smear campaign because he can't take it out on [redacted] online. This man will never settle, and is clearly telling lies to get money and still be unhappy. I am not sure what we can do to resolve this. Meyer Skidmore and Co has had an A+ Revdex.com rating for years and would like to keep it this way for years to come.
