Mid Atlantic Toyota Parts Reviews (22)

Review: I ordered a new trim piece for my [redacted] Mid Atlantic Toyota sent me a used and damaged part. I contacted them via email and the customer service agent , a Mr. [redacted] responded with a "guarantee" that they would never do that, when in fact that is precisely what I was looking at! A used and damaged trim piece in an already opened plastic package. I went ahead and sent the used and damaged item back and asked [redacted] for either a new item or a full refund. This was two weeks ago and I have never heard back from him since. I've reached out two more times and he simply stopped responding to me.Desired Settlement: Full refund of 56.91$

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]At this point all I want is a full refund and I will source the part elsewhere.

Regards,

Review: I ordered the right part for $163.99. Paid $19.92 for shipping. It was a steering knuckle. I made sure I ordered the right part cause you can't tell if its wrong or if there's a defect in the part until it is installed. The part was not only all wrong but it was made wrong and won't fit ANY vehicle on the face of planet earth. Their return policy says they will not accept any returns that are installed. Without the installation there was no way anyone could tell that they (or who ever made this part) made it wrong and that there was a major flaw. I paid $90 to have a bearing pressed in at a professional machine shop. After I found out the part was wrong I had to pay them another $90 to have it pressed out the wrong knuckle mid atlantic sent me. Then I had to buy another new bearing for $64. I had to buy a knuckle locally because Mid Atlantic Toyota already cost me enough of my time and money. Then I had to pay ANOTHER $90 to get the bearing pressed into the right knuckle I bought locally. I should have only had to buy one bearing for $64. and pay for one pressing $90. and the cost of the knuckle. I had to take taxis. Take off work. They've easily cost me over $500 for THEIR mistake and now they won't answer their phones and according to their return policy they are probably going to rob me of my refund. And Ill have to pay ANOTHER $19.92 to send this defective wrong part back to them. Im out of money and options. I did everything by the book on my part and can prove it... All problems and mistakes and unnecessary expenditures are due to errors made by Mid Atlantic Toyota Parts group.Desired Settlement: They owe me $163.99 plus shipping ($19.92)at the VERY VERY least. They rightfully should also reimburse me for the money I clearly lost due to their mistake. Two $90 pressings are due to their mistake so $180. Also the extra bearing due to their mistake $64. Not to mention the money I spent on a taxi and professional opinion and lost time at work would be expected but I did not save those particular receipts or I cant put it to an exact amount. $427.91 is what they clearly owe

Here is all of the email info I have on [redacted](which he did not buy the part from us, [redacted] did.).

We have been trying to get info from him to determine what the problem is. Did he purchase the wrong part? Did we pack the wrong part? He didn’t supply a VIN which is what we use to make sure the customer ordered the correct part. Below is the conversations my salesman and him have been having. We had to have [redacted] comments removed do to slander and cursing as well.

This is the response we received. The individual has still not confirmed the vehicle he ordered the part for, a VIN or what part he even received (it is possible that he may have been sent the wrong item, but we cannot confirm it without knowing what he received). He states that we sent a part for a [redacted] with [redacted] and [redacted], but [redacted] is showing [redacted] without [redacted].

The individual also states that he has purchased parts from us before, but we have not shipped to that address or to that email address in the last year. Further investigate can be made to see if he has since switching to [redacted] if necessary. Secondly, it almost sounds like he has been ordering parts for people under their names? Does that sound a little off?

[redacted] it. I see how this is gonna go. Just know you robbed me of a lot of money and its the last time I'm gonna order from you. I never had a problem with you guys til you changed the name. Im a certified [redacted] mechanic and I order parts for hundreds of people a month. My shop. My brothers shop. And my friends shop spent thousands of dollars last year with you guys. We are now going to go out of our way to avoid ever giving you scam artists another penny. I ordered the right part. You sent me one for a [redacted] with [redacted] and [redacted]. I ordered the right part. I couldve used this wrong part if the tie rod hole wasnt misbored even with the end being upside down. This isnt my first rodeo kid and this part you sent cant be used on anything. In the time it would take me to get hold of [redacted]. track her down. get that vin for you. I could've made over a thousand dollars. I could have made hundreds in the time ive spent trying to establish contact with your company about this issue. Im over it. Ill just take this matter up with the Revdex.com cause I dont have time for an ignorant fool like you who knows nothing about the products they are selling. Ive jumped through enough hoops over your mistake but when I spead the word and you go out of business and end up on welfare and unemployment remember this day.

I sincerely apologize for this issue that this has caused but before going through the return process I need a little bit more information. First, I need to know the VIN of the vehicle for this order and what part was actually needed to determine what this issue was with the part. Second, was the the part installed at all or not as any form of installation would deem the part non-returnable by our return policy. Please reply with the information needed so that we can be of the best assistance in sorting out this issue.

Thanks!

Its the wrong part. Ive been trying to call since last week. The part I ordered has the tie rod connector upside down. It doesnt fit right because the part you sent me was made wrong with a major flaw.. The upside down tie rod tie part of the knuckle.. I did not drive with it. I didnt really get it installed. But it was impossible to notice you guys sent the wrong part until it was almost fully installed. Note that its the wrong part so it could never actually be installed. But your mistake cost me 180 in excess pressing. And 64 for an extra bearing. I just want my 183.91 but feel free to refund my pressing fees and bearing cause that's not my fault. I dont think this part can be installed on any vehicle on planet earth. I want to know if it's worth sending back because of your return policy and the fact its a flawed and defective part.
