Midland Group Reviews (33)

I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on 8/4/2015 about this matter she is suppose to provide me some receipts and let me inspect the alleged parts I am waiting on her to get back with me. This work was done almost 2 years ago I do remember her bringing some of her own parts and also remember some of those...

parts were wrong and had to be returned.
Sincerely Clay W[redacted]

If you are taking us to court then the Revdex.com is no longer a format for you to spew you incoherent false allegations we welcome your actions. Thanks Clay W[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.    I believe I prematurely misjudged [redacted] and his team . After I got my car back to their shop he figured out that the only thing wrong with my car was the fuel pump . I bought a fuel pump and [redacted] was generous enough to put it in free of cost because of the inconvenience. If my car were to ever need anything mechanical done to it again I will be sure to take it to Texon Motor Center .

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. I have spoken with clay w[redacted] at Texon and we have discussed my complaint. I have confirmed and compared with  oreilly autoparts that the parts I pulled off my truck are Not parts they sell. They have no stamp "[redacted] on the reman parts which I purchased for texon to install in 2013 while rebuilding my motor &Trans.. I will drive my truck over to Texon for clay to visualize these original parts. Hopefully we can come to amicable solution to this complaint.
Regards,

Yes, sir.

Ok we will be looking for you Thanks Clay W[redacted]

Most of what Mr. [redacted] has stated is true, however the most important detail was not mentioned and that was if another shop found something that we had done wrong we were to be contacted prior to any repairs being performed so that we would have the opportunity to verify that it was a problem...

that we were responsible for. This never happened the shop he took the vehicle to called and said they thought his synchronizer was bad and I told them that we had changed that part as part of our troubleshooting which by the way the customer was not charged for but if they thought that was the problem give me a call back he never did that was the last I heard of this matter until Mr. [redacted] wanting reimbursement for the repairs. Once again we never had the opportunity to inspect and review our options prior to the repairs being performed, my suspicions about the validity of the diagnosis and repair put aside installing the synchronizer wrong  would not cause the synchronizer to melt. The cost of a synchronizer from the [redacted] dealer is $117.04 the cost of the cam sensor from the [redacted] dealer is $52.01 I could have purchased both items after market for $74.72. My payment to Mr. [redacted] was based on the dealer cost of the synchronizer and cam sensor plus reasonable labor which according to [redacted] which is an industry guide to labor times is .6 hours  at 85.00 per hour your invoice also listed a sensor described as a [redacted] for $89.26 I called [redacted] and found this part to be an oxygen sensor which is located in your exhaust and we are in no way responsible for it if you had a problem with that part.I realize that you are not a mechanic and simply wanted your truck repaired I had three different people tell me they thought you had a transmission problem and since your transmission was under warranty it was necessary to take it back to those folks for repair I am truly sorry for the whole scenario we spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem before we threw in the towel.I do not know the repair shop you took this truck to and am not going to question their integrity the man I spoke to over the phone seemed competent and he can run his business any way he want's to but according to his prices for parts he charges 35% above dealer list which is a very hefty markup and I bet he purchased these parts after market just like any other shop would. I also think that if he had simply found a bad synchronizer that repair would have been completed the same day that he called me and he would say see I told you so fact is it was several days later before your truck was repaired. The bottom line is this you have a warranty with us which covers everything on your truck that you were invoiced for, but there are hundreds of items under the hood that are original to your truck and were not replaced by us and are not warranted including the synchronizer, cam sensor and oxygen sensor that you recently had replaced. I hope you understand the points I have raised and explained why I reimbursed you the amount I did.  Sincerely Clay [redacted]

I am very sorry for the delay Our normal turn around is 7 to 10 working days we will need until Monday 8/8/2016 to complete the work. This vehicle had many items worn out or destroyed including the core which led to extra cost. You were notified and agreed to replacing the extra parts there was no...

arm twisting from me. I will call you as soon as it is ready. Sincerely Clay W[redacted]

Please call me at 713 526-2701 so we can put this matter to rest. thank You Clay [redacted]

We are just as frustrated as Mr. [redacted] we have installed 2 different engines in his vehicle and are still having problems we have sent the truck to Tommy Vaughn Ford and they diagnosed it as a bad computer and wanted in excess of $2000 to replace the computer we then sent it to A&B Auto...

Electric they said we should check the timing before they would go any further it has been checked more than once and we replaced the engine a second time just to rule out an engine problem.
We have had technicians come by our shop to diagnose the problem everyone says we have a problem with the computer we have incurred over $1500 dollars in parts, labor and towing bills for a problem that is not engine related. I told Mr. [redacted] that if the Ford dealer found that we had done anything wrong we would cover a couple of days of his rental cost once again they said it needs a computer this is not related to the work we have performed there is no wiring damage as inspected by A&B Auto Electric we are commited to finding the problem and have sent the vehicle to Yale Automotive for diagnosis hopefully they will figure it out.

Revdex.com:
No, the issue was never resolved.  Mr [redacted] has made it clear that he and Texon WILL NOT reimburse me as promised.  Even if I subtract $89.26 from the original bill of $521.43, there is still and outstanding total of $212.17.  ($521.43- $220 which Texon paid - $89.26 ).

You have a limited warranty on your engine and we have an excellent reputation of honoring that warranty you simply need to make arrangements to bring the car to us. We understand this is not convenient but it is what you agreed to when you read and signed your warranty. Sincerely Clay [redacted]
