Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The business owner is not being honest. As seen on copy of invoice that I sent to Revdex.com you can see where he included to fix corner of house at no charge with the estimate that he gave me for replacing roof. If he had no intention of repairing the corner of house only if I accepted the estimate on all the house then why on 2/8/17 he wanted to come on 2/11/17 but I told I was going out of town that day. He still wanted to come since its outside work but I told him that it might set off home security. So 2/13/17 I contacted him again and he said it was fixing to rain and had to wait. Again I called on 2/22/17 and he said he would contact the next day, which he didn't. Again I called on 2/24/17 and he said they would be coming on 2/28/17, but of course he didn't. So the last phone call to him was on 3/2/17 and that was when I told him I would contact Revdex.com. From the very first contact with him I told him I didn't want him to do the painting on all eaves of the house cause his price was to high. I do agree that he had to go buy more shingles, but as I said previously that was his mistake for not measuring himself, but when he told me that he had to go buy more I told I would pay half of that after he showed me receipt which I never saw. I believe that now he doesn't want to fix the corner of house to make up the difference on what he had to pay to buy more shingles. On the copy of invoice he did put price for all painting of the eaves above the comment what was gonna be done at no charge. On my very first conversation with him he said he was gonna give me a very good deal by including work on the corner of my home at no charge.

On Mr. [redacted] house, the bottom layer of wood shingles is covered very well below the fiberglass shingles. Unfortunately, we did not detect them until after the upper layer was removed. The cost to remove wood shingles and re-deck the entire home with new sheathing is significantly higher. We told Mr. [redacted] we were willing to wait the 2 to 3 months it would take for him to have the rest of the money to complete the job. We were under the impression that everything was okay and he would still want us to complete the job. We are still willing to do the job at Mr. [redacted] house.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
An early Merry Christmas to All!!!
Regards,
[redacted]oday from [redacted]. However, the info he put in his answer wasn't correct. The total job proposal was $3350.00 for the painting, constructing a porch and roof. However, when we met [redacted] at Sherwin Williams Paint Store in Waco we spoke to him about the roof type. The estimate he had given us was for a flat, rolled roof and we wanted a gable. We asked how much more it would be for a gable roof and he said, "$500.00" which we added onto his original bid making the total proposal $3850.00. That is the only reason we gave him a total of $2000.00 (a little more than 1/2 of the cost)--otherwise we would only have given him $1650.00. [redacted] said, "He would lose money[redacted] crew did a great paint job.

We will refund the amount of $2,000.00 back to the customer as soon as possible.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:You claim that you have done all that you can do to solve the problem with me, yet you have done nothing but try to shift the blame for what your company has caused. You have not even attempted to refund my money paid to you for materials or for my insurance deductible that your company has caused me to incur. If you were a reputable business, would own up to the responsibility for the damage that you caused to my home, pay what little you are being asked to take care of, and quit trying to blame everyone and everything else for your actions and the fact that you were uninsured. 1. America Roofing did not deliver the materials that were paid for with my check of $3250. The repair job called for more than 57 squares of shingles. There are three bundles to every square for more than 171 bundles of shingles. This would be several pallets worth of shingles alone, which is what [redacted] said was left sitting at Lowes waiting to be delivered and never were. The two pictures that were submitted show a single pickup truck with a few bundles of shingles and some other misc roofing supplies, but only a fraction of what would have been required for the complete roofing job. In your last response you said the materials were delivered on June 24th, which was the day the house was severely damaged by the thunderstorms associated with a tropical storm that was in the area that day. Your pictures show a bright sunny day, which we never had on the 24th. Your truck would have been stuck in the mud had it been in the yard that day. The pictures you show were from several days later on the 27th. The 27th was the day that myself and my insurance company adjusters came to the house and your work crew was on the property when we arrived. They were getting ready to do some type of roof work.  Your company had been asked to leave on the 24th because you would not produce valid insurance information or any proof that you filed a claim and you were not going to do any additional work not being insured. Your crew was asked to leave again on the 27th because you still could not produce any insurance information. [redacted]. called me directly on the 27th after his crew was asked to leave.  I made it clear that no additional work could be done with no insurance. I found out later that they had no insurance in effect at the time the work was originally started and the home was damaged. When his crew left on the 27th, they took whatever they brought out with them. There were no materials left at the property. I am attaching a paid invoice from the vendor that had to prep and install a complete new roof including all materials. 2. My home suffered water damage to every room in it because of your company and your failure and negligence to tarp the roof after you tore off the old one. It it no one else's fault or responsibility but your company's! The releveling work done over a year prior had nothing to do with the water damage to the entire house caused from the roof being torn off and not properly tarped! The work being done on the fireplace and extra bedroom had nothing to do with the damage caused to the home. The entire home had to be stripped down to the studs on the inside as the ceilings in every room and interior walls were wet along with the insulation in every room because of this. I am attaching pictures of the extensive damage and repairs.  3. The $3250 paid to you for materials that you never provided needs to be refunded in full along with my insurance deductible of $1814. $5064 is the total.  This is the only resolution that is acceptable.   Can someone at the Revdex.com please get involved with this dispute?

In the beginning of January, the customer had called the office to talk to someone about the work needing to be done. The owner had apologized for the delay and told the customer we could start the job the following day. The customer refused and had warned us if we were to show up at his house he...

would have police there waiting for us. The owner is still wanting to work with the customer to do the job.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I don't have a flat roof and they haven't been...

to my house to do anything. They are delaying the process and/or confusing me with another company or person they are mistreating also . They removed a area 2 foot by 2 foot section and found the wood shingles and told me the price will be 7500.00. The original price was 3900.00. I believe [redacted] did this on purpose to get my 2000.00 deposit because when he came to my house to look and give me the estimated cost I told him there was something under the shingles. This was easy to tell because a foot from the bottom edge all the way around the house stepped up more than just a layer of old shingles. My deposit was for a $3900.00 roof not $7500.00. I gave him the $2000.00 deposit on 8-18-2016. It has been over 3 months and every time I talk to [redacted] he says he will bring my money later the same day. I need my money back, it has been long enough. Also he has not been back to cover the area  they took the shingles off my A frame house.

We have done all we can to solve the problem with the home owner. It seems he wants his money returned even after material was delivered to his address. I have attached pictures of the material being delivered. We had never said water didn't do some damage to home. We responded the same day to fix the damages caused by the the leaks but we were denied by the home owner.  We do have to acknowledge the pre-existing damage to home. It seems to us he is trying to say his house was in perfect condition. If you look at the ceiling in the picture you will see yellow spots in various places of the house which means the spots are old. He was in the process of removing the chimney, that is also pre-existing damage. The 2 x 4 holding the ceiling was also pre-existing due to leveling. The insurance company has documents of the 2 x 4 on the ceiling which had already fallen before we ever stepped onto the property. He said with his words he had put plastic up to keep the cold out of the house and other debris from coming into the home.

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] with America Roofing & Construction did not follow through with his payment arrangement.  He agreed to give me the balance of my money which was $1500 on yesterday Jan 10, 2017 and he did not.  He had another excuse as to why he could not come up with it.  I would like to go straight to arbitration because this puts a hardship on our family.  I have a contractor coming to give me a bid on the repairs that they were supposed to make and I need my money back as soon as possible.  Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have not been paid in full and I would like my...

complaint to remain open with the Revdex.com because I do expect a Final Payment of my money by the 10th of January.  I was told by the business owner [redacted]. that he would give me back my money on Friday Dec 22, 2017 and he only gave me $500 of my money so I do not wish to close my complaint until I have received payment in full.

We had showed up at 8 that night and placed tarps on the roof. It did leak and we tried to contain it before the situation worsened. The customer did not want us to do anything more to their house which made matters worse. Due to levelers that leveled the house a year before, the ceiling in one...

bedroom had already collapsed before we had got there which means the customer had faulty ceilings to begin with.

I wish to withdraw my request to reopen the above complaint.  Mr. [redacted] has given me back $1000 dollars for a total of $1500 dollars of my money.  He said when he got the balance he would give me a call.Thank you for your assistance [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The master bedroom ceiling that collapsed did so because of the weight of the rain soaked insulation and sheetrock due to the roof not being tarped completely or adequately. All rooms in the home had water damage to ceilings and room furnishings. The home had been releveled over a year ago and that relevel had nothing to do with the ceilings or walls becoming wet from the roof being uncovered. The only thing America Roofing offered to do was to replace the collapsed ceiling in the bedroom. Their employee, [redacted], offered to place my wet bedroom furniture under my covered carport and to wrap tarps around it. This was unacceptable.  They kept saying I only had minor damage and it was limited to the master bedroom,  which is not the case, as the home had to emptied of all contents and all ceilings and sheetrock had to be torn out by Target Restoration as everything was soaked. None of the mater bedroom furnishings were not salvageable because of the water and ceiling collapse damage.  After their refusal to provide their insurance carrier information, refusal to file a claim, and their negligence shown on the roof, I declined to have them perform any additional work on the home. They were operating with no insurance we have since determined.   America Roofing still has not returned my $3250 that I paid upfront for materials that they never delivered.  They have cashed my check that was clearly marked materials for 620 Hoffmeyer. Their employee, [redacted] said the pallet of materials was left setting at Lowes and [redacted]. was not going to pick them up or deliver them to the home. The money for the material needs to be refunded immediately. I will also need to be reimbursed for my insurance deductible and any increase in premium to my homeowners insurance due to a claim having to be filed since they did not have any insurance in effect at the time of the incident.

On the 18th of November, we applied an elastomeric silicon coating onto the flat roof. Concerning the inside work, we will also go and repair the water damaged sheetrock on the kitchen ceiling.

The customer's check totaling $3,250.00 was used to buy the roofing material. On 6/24/2017, the shingles were delivered to the customer's house and a portion of it installed onto the roof before the customer declined to have us do anymore work on the roof. There was never a discussion of leaving materials at Lowe’s for any reason. We believe the bedroom ceiling was where the main water leak occurred with small leaks on the hallway and living room ceilings. No other damage occurred from us being there. There was existing water damage to other parts of the home from leveling and prior leaks before we had ever worked on the roof that we cannot be placed at fault for. I have included pictures of the damage prior to us performing any work.

The price on the proposal she signed was only for the roofing on the garage. The work to trim the rose bush and replace boards were going to be done at no charge if the customer had accepted our price to paint the eaves of her house and was written as only an option. The rose bush and board...

replacements were bundled with the painting job at no extra charge but she did not accept for us to do the painting work.  She had initially declined our estimate at the beginning. She had called some days later after the estimate was given and told us she only wanted to do the roofing on the garage and nothing else. We were two squares short on the shingles but we did not charge her for that. The job at the customers house is complete and paid in full.

I have talked to the wife of [redacted] and we have agreed to continue working on the patio.

June 15 completed on June 16 after constantly  calling. This company has very poor communication with clients  and once the job was completed they wanted me to pay the balance instead of the insurance company.  The excuse he did not have the money to pay his men.I would not use this company again nor do I recommend any one else use them.Thank you for cooperation in this manner.

I am rejecting this response because: I told [redacted] it would take me 6 months to save the other 3600.00 and I wanted my 2000.00 deposit back 3 months ago and now after not giving me my money and not covering the spot where they removed the shingles I am not
