After getting sweeped by most ever dealership in town for my age (and lack of co-signer), one of my best friends recommended I go to Mike Murphy Kia, as him and his family were very loyal customersI came to see what they had on their lot and was greeted personally by [redacted] **himself! After working with me for almost hours, they got me in a brand new Kia Forte at payments I could afford! I had the loan in solely my name, exactly what I requestedIf you find yourself leaving dealerships feeling like you just got screwed over, you need to come see Mike Murphy and his sales team; they still call to see if I'm 100% satisfied, and I have sent numerous friends and family over to themWe have nothing but the best to say about our family over at Mike Murphy Kia

To Whom it may concern: This is a written response to a complaint # [redacted] received from [redacted] on January 22, by Mike Murphy Kia of [redacted] On November 13, [redacted] and [redacted] signed for and took delivery of a [redacted] Kia [redacted] We had a preliminary approval for them at that time provided that certain stipulations were met per the approvalThe [redacted] along with all of our customers are made aware of this prior to delivery and sign several documents stating that they are of aware of this and that failure to do so may result in the loan being rejected, requiring them to return the vehicleThe documents also state that there will be costs associated with doing so such as $per day rental, mileage, detail and cleaningI have attached a copy of such formsAfter they had taken delivery of the vehicle, during multiple required customer interviews with the lender it was discovered that there was a discrepancy in what the customer stated on the credit application pertaining the status of where they live(rent, own, living with a family member) and also their employmentBasically, their current living status along with their employment status did not match what Mike Murphy Kia or the lender was told as reflected on their signed credit applicationThe vehicle was finally returned to Mike Murphy Kia on 12/31/ On January 19, the [redacted] agreed to a refund $I have attached a copy of the signed agreement pertaining to the refundIn short, the $is what was left over after the $per day rental charge and the detail As for the credit inquiriesIt is often necessary to forward the customers credit application to several lenders in order to get them approved for a vehicleEach lender is required to also run a credit report to determine whether or not they can approve the loanI have also attached a copy of our credit application that advises the customer of this in writing and requires their signature Once again, I have attached all documents pertaining to this matter for your reviewMike Murphy Kia wants to provide every customer with the best experience possibleHowever, there are policies and procedures in place that we must follow as a businessWe would be happy to try and get the [redacted] re approved in the future or continue to look for a vehicle that they could purchase for cashPerhaps a they could find a co signer to help them purchase a vehicle Sincerely, [redacted]

To whom it may concern: This is a written response to a Revdex.com complaint by [redacted] ***First of all, we are sorry for Ms [redacted] lossI was able to track down the name of the purchaser as [redacted] and pulled the fileI have attached the following signed documents: A copy of the menu where she was offered Gap insurance, Service Contract, Car Care Maintenance, and Road HazardThe only product selected was gap insurance which covers the loan if the vehicle is totaled and the customer's insurance company does not pay off the entire loanThis also has the payment that was agreed upon at the time of purchaseWe do not offer credit life, accident, or health insuranceThe customer would of had to purchase that separately, on their own A copy of a declination confirming the payment, products offered, selected, and declined Moving forward, I understand that [redacted] was here shopping for a car yesterdayWe do have a preliminary approval in her name to purchase a vehicle if she can come up with a down payment that is satisfactory for this particular lenderIf [redacted] wishes to pursue this option she is welcome to contact me personally Sincerely, [redacted] **

To whom it may concern: This is a written response to a Revdex.com complaint by [redacted] Ms [redacted] purchased a pre owned Kia Optima from us on July 9th of The mileage of the vehicle at the time of purchase was 62,The warranty on a vehicle is offered by the manufacturer which in this case would be Kia MotorsKia Motors offers the balance of a 5year 60,mile limited basic warranty on their vehicles after the first owner(a pre owned vehicle)Mike [redacted] Kia offers the customer an option to purchase a JM&A fidelity extended service contract at the time of purchase or at any time the customer would like to purchase one for their vehicle provided that there is one availableThe customer can also purchase one on their own through a company of their choiceIn Ms [redacted] case she purchased a year 24,mile Service Contract when she purchased the car on July 9th, When the car hit 86,miles it was no longer covered under any warrantyWhen she brought this vehicle in for her engine making noise/knocking in April of the vehicle had 96,miles on itOver 12,miles out of coverageNeither Kia Motors or JM&A fidelity will cover the repair because it is out of warrantyI have attached the following documents: A copy of the signed federal buyers guide front and back disclosing that the vehicle was out of manufacture warranty at the time of purchaseAlso, that she purchased the vehicle "As-Warranty." A copy of the JM&A Fidelity Service Contract that she purchased at the time of delivery stating that she had years or 24,of coverage Moving forward, Ms [redacted] had inquired a couple of weeks ago about trading this car in and getting another oneWe would like to trade Ms [redacted] out of her vehicle into a new one provided that she has the necessary cash down and the credit score to qualifyIf she would like to pursue this option further she can contact me personally Sincerely, [redacted] **

Kia Motors would be the one to decide if the car could be fixed free of chargeAs a dealer we have to honor the terms and conditions of the warrantyI would be happy to sit down with Ms*** at her convenience to try and come up with a solutionShe can call or email me at ***@mikemurphykia.com to schedule an appointment

Called and left a message with the customerFree oil changes are good for our store only for oblivious reasons- it's a courtesy for our customers and we pay for
them to keep all records and maintenance. Have attempted to call customer and explainWe will offer reimbursement for this one but future oil changes are only good at Mike Murphy Kia in Brunswick.

Unfortunately, we have no control over the interest rate or the customers futureThe interest rate is based off the customers credit historyIt is simply between the customer and the lenderRefinancing or trading for another vehicle is sometimes an option for the
customer down the road(even in as little time as 6-months down the road) but the higher the interest rate of the origional purchase, the longer this may take and the more cash will be required from the customer to make the deal workThis is also based on the customers credit file as well and is always subject to credit approval from the lenderWe share in this customer's frustration and will journey with them through this to help them(eventually) get into the vehicle that they want with a payment they can afford, but their credit score has to improve significantly, there may be additional cash down needed, along with an approval from a lenderThe customer is welcome to contact me anytime directly for further assistance.Sincerely,

We recently purchased a pre-owned car from Mike Murphy KiaThe wait times were great (compared to some dealerships I've visited) and the staff was friendly and helpfulThe whole process was easy, and I really felt like they were trying to help meI have been to several dealerships, and this one was definitely a dealership I will be sending my referrals toThank you, Mike Murphy!
