Program and was presented with the necessary forms required for new members. One of the forms is the membership agreement which clearly states that MHS does not grant refunds or cancellations. This segment of the membership agreement was acknowledged and initialed by the complainant.The issue of varied prices for our service is true. There are several different levels of membership that are presented to each potential member. Services provided to a member are in accordance to the level of membership they choose.Each potential member must pass a thorough background check before membership is granted. The allegation that MHS does not perform background checks on potential members is completely unfounded. Our membership database includes many “professional and educated” men in the complainants age range. She has at this point in time made  “selections” through our website. At MHS The term “selection”  is used to indicate that a member has chosen to send a request to meet another member. Currently she has received  “YES” responses. She has also been selected by  men and has chosen to say “YES” to them.The fact that we have members on our site that indicate a status of “Inactive” simply means that the member has elected to utilize the “Freeze” option as stated in the membership agreement. There are various reasons a member may choose to Freeze their membership. A member services representative can reach out to a member on Freeze if requested to do so by a member who is interested in meeting them. MHS events are a wonderful opportunity for members to meet one another and mingle in a non-pressure environment. Members often bring a friend (non-member) to an event and we encourage them to do so as it adds to the fun!  The complainant specifically mentioned she was not interested in  meeting [redacted] at the [redacted] game event which is fine. What she did fail to mention is the fact that several other eligible men were also present at the event. [redacted]

In fact, the member who received the “yes” from the complainant purposely came in to Mile High Singles to say, “we changed his life” after a few dates with this complainant.Mile High Singles is happy for this complainant that “she met someone who fits her standards” however, if for any reason she want to utilizes who membership, Mile High Singles would love to assist her throughout the duration of her membership. Mile High Singles is a privately owned company.    Our credit card slips states at the bottom where the consumer signs there are no refunds.   On the backside of the agreement consumers sign with the understanding that there are no refunds or cancellations, and they initial their understanding of that policy.  This consumer in question consciously came in for her video shoot, photo session and submitted a profile all with the intention of using her membership.  She made selections to members and responded to a member who had selected her. No one else’s membership has anything to do with her membership or her decision to utilize the membership she paid for.  [redacted]Center Director Of Mile High Singles

I am rejecting this response because: the person responding to this complaint was not in the room and she can't tell you how I was feeling. I am telling you I told [redacted] I did not want to put that much money on my credit card and I ask to think about her response was NO. She told me NO. I felt very pressured to purchase this service and I am mad at myself for letting her talk me into it. It's not that I don't want the service I CANT AFFORD IT. Plan and simple. 2600 dollars is a lot of money for me and this has been a hardship. I was sick about it. I know you think it's easy to just get up and walk out but it wasn't. Like I said before I am so mad that I didn't.  I myself can't believe I let her pressure me into this service. I never used one minute of this service and I can't believe you would not be human enough to give me back my money. I find that to be total greed and no heart. I leave this in the hands of God. He knows the truth. you reap what you sow and the truth always comes out.

I am rejecting this response because:Mile High Singles had not contact me even before those descriptions were used.  The descriptions are to the best of my knowledge what I experienced; if they are false, the business will simply return my money.  I find it interesting that they are offended by words used to describe them; however, they find it perfectly good to say "We have thousands of members who meet those criteria."  (Criteria: Active Women, 40-50 years, without children at home, are runners)  So, if they concede their words may be false, I will concede the words I used to describe them may be false.  The only fair resolution is for the business to return my money.

Tell us why here...[redacted] membership is everchanging, and at any given time members may choose to have a “status” of Active or Inactive throughout the term of their membership.  In our previous response to the complainant it was stated that [redacted] events are a wonderful opportunity for members to meet one another and mingle in a non-pressure environment. Members often bring a friend (non-member) to an event and we encourage them to do so as it adds to the fun!  The complainant signed a Membership Agreement and initialed the understanding of our “No Refund” policy on the back of the Membership Agreement. The complainant also signed a credit card receipt that clearly states, “no refunds”.  [redacted] is not a right of rescission state and so our no refund policies are clearly outlined. We are more than happy to assist the complainant with the Membership in any way but we do not offer nor is the complainant entitled to a refund of any kind.

I have never got a copy of credit card receipt, the website to view the clients is 80% “member is currently Inactive”, the one that respond was from out of state.  [redacted] promised me that only in state and in Littleton will contact me.I have some medical issue that I forget, now my family remind me (after they find out I have sign up the Mile High Singles) that I have poor short-term memory (see attached), doctor appointments has been scheduled in July.  I should not have to sign up for any kind of dating service, I did it without my family knowing that, and I really don’t remember why I did that.

I already left her a message letting her know we are letting her out of her contract. The message was left on Tuesday, June 23rd so I'm not sure why she is making this complaint. It's been handled.
