Milwaukee Tool Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a rechargeable headlamp less than a year ago and it quit working. Funny how I contact the company, who you'd think would stand behind their EXPENSIVE products, and never hear from them. It quit working, doesn't do anything. Won't turn on.

have a M18 battery.. Has very little use, is approx 4 yrs old per tech support.. I called in as I charged and worked 3 days ago, the NO work no more.. yet has a charge if checked via a multimeter but only ONE bar showing.. I have tons of milwaukee tools, mainly m12, so m18 doesnt get used ofter..and this battery is MINT like bought yesterday.. I take CARE of my tools.. Im told in a condensinging way , and RUDE way by tech support on phone, to count myself lucky I got over 4 years out of the battery, and was told I dont use the battery ENOUGH... and THEN made the comparison to a battery in a car.. He said if I dont start it , then in 6 months will be DEAD and no longer work.. UHHHHH, listen I fired back I have a 69 camaro, with a 12 yr old battery and I start it monthly .... and it just FINE.... Same with my M18 battery, I use it, just NOT 5x a day every single DARN DAY... So im litterally being told that I need to abuse the battery for it to work properly.. give me a break.. NOT SURE what I am NOT being told, but a battery doesnt work just fine, then BOOM, no workie no more.. it sounds like Milwaukee has a electronics issue within the battery..

I sent in a tool under warranty for repair. Milwaukee tool denied warranty based on problem being alleged normal wear and tear. The problem was not normal, and the tool was seldom used. The technician claims the armature turned slowly. The fact is that something in the tool burned up and it was completely inoperable when I sent it in.

I bought a M4 1/4" Hex Screwdriver Kit from amazon about 5 weeks ago.the is serial number is ***. I contacted customer service because the told has stopped working after using it only 3 times. I was told I only have 2 options #1 ship it in at my cost just to have them look at it and they may fix it under warranty but they couldn't guarantee that. option #2 was to take it to a local service centre witch is located in the middle of nowhere and no transportation goes to id have to pay a taxi to get out there. both options are not acceptable to me. a tool that's only been used a handful of times shouldn't fail and a company should not expect me to pay for a repair on something that's barely been used. one of the 2 batteries is also refusing to charge to.

Milwaukee was running a rebate for purchasing a Heated Axis jacket or a vest. The rebate was running through November 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019. If you purchased a heated jacket or vest, then you would receive a "Special Buy Kit" that included M12 Redlithium CP2.0 battery, M12 charger, M12 heated hand warmer, and M12 LED work light. I filled out all of the rebate forms along with sent in all the proof that was requested. The rebate stated that it would take 6 to 8 weeks. I had never received the rebate so I reached out to the company on April 17, 2019 requesting a status update, and no one from the company has reached out to me yet.

Hello,

Milwaukee Tool

I purchased a M18 1/2 inch electric impact around 3 years ago from a Cornwell tool dealer. Recently I have had a few small issues so he talked me into sending it in for warranty repair (5 years supposedly). The main issue is due to the fact that everything is made from plastic and the area where the battery attaches wears out and prevents the battery from being held in completely causing poor terminal contact. Sometimes I need to push the battery in for the gun to work. He tells me that Milwaukee emailed him denying any warranty work and said it would be 200 dollars to repair my tool and none of the parts they want to replace have anything to do with battery retention.

I tell him that I don't want the repair done because I'm not paying 200 dollars just to get my tool back with same issues. This is the point that he tells me if I don't pay their 200 dollar fee that they will send my tool back disassembled in a box. Uh, what? My tool was 90 percent functional before sending it to the MANUFACTURER for WARRANTY service and they are going to send it back to me in much worse condition. Is this some kind of joke?

This is like me taking my vehicle in for warranty repair and having the dealership tell me that while the problem is not under warranty, if I don't pay them full price to do the repair they are going to disable my vehicle and force me to tow it from their property.

This is a horrible business practice and I am going to do everything in my power to make sure others know how shady their amazing 5 year warranty is. I've spent over 2000 dollars on Milwaukee tools and will not be spending another dime.

When sending a tool to this company for potential warranty repair, the tool is disassembled by Milwaukee.after Milwaukee inspects the disassembled tool, they determine if it is warranty related or not.

My particular tool was not covered by the warranty so they wanted 2/3 the cost of the tool brand new ($300 brand new) as a repair cost ($188).I declined the repair due to the high price.

My tool, which was mostly functional when I sent it in, was returned to me DISASSEMBLED. Their response is that it's company policy to return it that way..

Essentially when a tool breaks I have 2 horrible choices
1. Throw it away and waste my money on a new one
2. Send it in to Milwaukee and hope it's covered under warranty and ship it in for then to check. The only way they check if it's under warranty is to disassemble it causing me financial loss

Option 2 requires me to buy a new tool or pay an outrage repair fee if deemed to be out of warranty..

The company basically forces the consumer to buy a new tool or pay an astronomical price to have them fix it.

Milwaukee tools promise 5 years warranty on all their tools. I purchased a battery operated Milwaukee Multi-tool (M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool) that had a manufacture defect. Mailed it to Milwaukee per their advertised warranty terms and did not receive my tool back. After never ending phone calls and emails they claim to send me a new tool because they couldn't fix mine. The "new" tool arrived after 2 months from the date it was sent (their terms promise 5-10 business days). The "new" tool is used and defective as well, so it is not functioning at all. I am now done with the project I bought this tool for what made me loose time and money because of Milwaukee poor warranty care and false advertisements. The retailer will not accept the tool they sent me because it have a different serial number so I can not get a refund for it. And after all this I still need a multi tool so I will need to go and purchase a tool I already bought.

Milwaukee Tool is currently running a promotion offering free tools with the purchase of their copper crimping tool. I have made three failed attempts to submit the proper information on their website. It does not work. I made copies of all required documents and mailed them to Milwaukee tool. I was them contacted by *** Stating that she could see that I have made several attempts to process the e-rebate request. The website does not accept my information and *** refuses to honor their promotion which expires on 10/31/18.

I sent Milwaukee my 2775D-222 Cordless Drain Cleaning 5/8 in. Switch Pack Sectional Drum System Kit 2 months after I spent $1400 purchasing it due to the motor not responding and putting off a foul smell. I contacted home depot where I purchased the item and they advised me that it was 2 months old and since it was damaged I would have to go through milwaukee's warranty service to get it fixed or replaced the lady was very helpful and spoke highly of milwaukee assuring me they stand behind the product 100%. She sat down with me and looked up milwaukee to figure out where to send the kit to. she printed the details and I was on my way I put the entire kit in the original box with my Customer agreement/POP in the box and a detailed description on what the Snake was doing along with my email address and contact number on a paper all stapled together the following day I sat the box out for usps and went to work. came home box was gone assumed everything was fine. 2 weeks passed no updates phone calls etc so I called homedepot and asked if they knew about how long it took for warranty work to be done they informed me in could take 4-6 weeks but milwaukee would contact me if there was any issues etc. a month passed and still nothing I then looked up milwaukee and called them directly and spoke to a lady in the customer service department who claimed she was a supervisor but was rude and in a hurry by the tone and attitude I received. I explained to her everything that had taken place and she said she would have to contact the service center to get more info on the snake and verify its location etc. she returned to the call and said the warranty center didnt have it and had no records of it I then started asking how is that possible I sent it 1 month ago and told her I sat it out for usps like I do all my packages and all of my paperwork with a detailed description and contact info was stapled inside etc she said there was nothing they could do about it to check with usps so I hung up and alled usps sat on hold for an hour being transfered to different people just to be told that since it was picked up and not drpped off or sent with tracking they have no way of locating that package or its whereabouts so now ive invested $1400 into a kit I no longer have and milwaukee nor usps can locate.

As I have previously stated to *** both packages were left on my front porch 1. being in the original packaging the 2nd being a large flat rate box from USPS containing the batteries to be picked up and sent to Milwaukee for diagnosis and repair. I was not provided a tracking number I assumed they would leave me a sticker or some type of information but they did not. The Home Depot store was store located on Post Road in Indianapolis Indiana and it was one of the ladies at the customer service desk who assisted me with looking up Milwaukee tool and providing me with the info as far as address and customer service contact number.

My M18 drill came with two batteries. I never used one of them until today. It is brand new. Upon first charge, the green light on the charger starts blinking indicating a defective battery. I effectively have a defective brand new battery. I called customer service and was told they can’t do anything because I don’t have the receipt, and expect me to pay $79 to replace the battery. Very unethical practice.

Milwaukee Tool advertises on their website to repair tools no longer under warranty in a program called E-Repair. The max time a repair is supposed to take is 7-10 business days. I sent them my tool to be repaired, then waited and waited, finally I called and they asked me to "OK" the repair and give them my credit card information which I did. They did not contact me about the repair. Even though I gave them all my information when I created an account on their website to print out the shipping label to mail them the tool. That was at the end of November 2017. I just got off the phone with their customer service again and was told she doesn't know why it still hasn't been repaired and sent out, and the woman who takes complaints is out of the office. Basically I'm at the mercy of their indifference.

GUARANTEED 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS .........2 months later

I was having problems with my m18 fuel compound saw so I contacted customer service where I was advised to send it to the warranty center in Wisconsin so I placed the unit in the original box along with 2 9.0 batteries and left it for delivery however a month passed and still I had not heard from customer service regarding the saw nor had I received a replacement etc so I called back in and the lady said she didn't show record of ever receiving it nor does she show me in the system and that there was nothing they would be able to do about the issue because I was not informed to ship with tracking info I did not do so not to mention I have never had any issues with packages being sent or received. So now in return im at a loss for not only my saw but also both my 9.0 batteries which is very very frustrating especially since almost all my tools are Milwaukee brand and this is how their customer service handles things, makes me second guess my choice of Brand.
