I never received the title, Can't get a call back and now hear the business is closed. How am I going to register car in Georgia?
It took me three months to get the car shipped after I paid for it. Was told he would help offset cost of delivery sine he kept me waiting so long. I never got a penny of that money. The worst part is the Bill of Sale was sent via Fed Ex but no title was with it. I emailed Michael and Jamie asking when my title will arrive with no response. Now the business and his cell number are out of order. I also see on the Revdex.com site that there are many others that we're conned.

Desired Outcome

I want the title or a replacement title mailed to me so I can register and drive the car.

I sent a 1934-yr chevy hod rod to Michael C to sell on consignment. I think he stole my car as he hasnt responded. Help!
I sent Michael C my 1934-yr chevy hot rod (black) to him to sell on consignment (approximately a year ago). I have sent him multiple texts and made calls to him to find out if there was any progress over the past year. He has not responded and now it looks like MJC Classic Cars doesnt exist. Basically he stole my car apparently... Help!

Desired Outcome

Either monetary compensation or return of my car...

This business has sold cars of mine with my hard earned money and has not paid me. I've tried to collect $ owed for over 1 year it's more than $14,000
MJC has sold cars of mine and I have not been able to collect the money for over 1 year or better. Mr. has made many promises to my wife and myself and failed to deliver on them. He has lied many times and has not tried to work out any deals with me. I offered to settle it in many different ways and got no response from him. I am a senior and am outraged by the way I have been treated by this company. They had made bad business discussion and used their customers monies to try to offset them. I'm sure they thought they could delay the dissolve of the company by stealing customers cash to cover a cash flow problem. I pray that all his customers that got monies still owed them get some of it back. I'm owed north of $12,000.00 . I hope they find out were he buried the cash and assets and all of us he took advantage of could get some of the money owed. He has failed as a business but most of all he has failed as a person and a lot of people are going to get hurt by this.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be contacted by the business lawyers and make a settlement with them.

Mr. C contracted with me to sell my 68 Corvette. In May he put the title in his company's name. He has not sent me the payment for the car.
On May 3, 2019 I consigned my 1968 Corvette Convertible (VIN ***) to MJC Classic Cars, (Michael C) located in Lakeland Florida.
Mr. C was to advertise and sell my car. We had an agreement that he would spruce up the car and sell it. We agreed that I would get $28,000, and he would sell the car for enough that he could recover his cost from sprucing up the car, shipment, advertising, etc., and make profit.
(At a later time, I agreed to lower my amount to $26,500)
At this initial meeting, Mr. C Mike told me his process of consigning and selling customers cars. He provided the information for the shipping company and that I would ship the car (with a copy of my clear title) to him. He said after the car sold that I would overnight my 'signed' title to him. He would finalize the sell and overnight my license plate and a cashier's check for the payment for my car. I wasn't going to send the title until the car was sold.
He made it sound like that I would receive payment within a few days of sending him my signed title.

He gave me the one-page contract to fill out and email back to him. I completed the contract and emailed it back on May 6, 2019. Mr. C did not sign the contract and send it back.
My car was delivered to MJC Classic Cars on May 9, 2019.
Mr. C called me on May 22, 2019 and said that the car was sold and for me to send him my signed title. He sent me a FedEx # and I overnight-ed title to him.
On May 30, 2019 Mr. C called and said he had assigned the title to his company, MJC Classic Cars. I asked him why to his company and not to the new buyer's name, as he had explained.
He started telling me that before he could close the sale that he must make a lot of repairs to the car, have it appraised, buyer get financing, etc. This was all new to me.

I sent many emails asking when I will get my money. He continued to say his shop was working on the repairs and then, give me a date when they would be completed, and I would get my funds. He has provided me six (6) different dates and never delivered. Every time I had any communication with him it was almost done.
I have not been able to get any response from him since September 20, 2019.
I want Mr. C (MJC Classic Cars) to give me my money or return my car. The car must be in the condition it was when it was picked up from my house.

I don't want any more promises.
I have the contract, shipping paperwork, photos of my car, and all the emails showing the above information.

Desired Outcome

I want either the $26,500 payment for my 1968 Corvette, or my Corvette returned to me in the condition it was when picked up from my house.

This company lies and do not honor contracts
Now the company has filed voluntary dissulotion.
Consigned the vehicle in May 2019
After numerous calls , emails, texts, and personal visits I received 50 % payment 8/26/2019 with statement the balance would be the following week.
received another 37% payment 9/11/2019
Chasing h for th final payment.
Now that they have people hire a law firm to manage finances and pay off debts looks like I'll get nothing.
Avoid this company and the individual Michael *** at all cost!

Desired Outcome

Pay me what I'm owed

Subject: Case # *** mjc classic cars

I heard from Michael ***, after I file the complaint. He stated that I shouldn't have filed the complaint.

Carroll

Purchased vehicle and paid in full a month ago. MJC has not forwarded title as promised, is uncooperative in allowing my shipper to pick vehicle up.
I purchased a 1975 Toyota Landcruiser BJ40, and wired the full purchase price on August 20th, 2019. One of my conditions of purchase was that MJC would courier me title and extra keys. Mi*** Cal*** confirmed by text after receipt of funds on August 20th that he would courier title and extra keys to the vehicle, which as of September 17th, he still has not done. In spite of confirming again on August 20th that he would send me the title, he said that I only need a bill of sale to register a vehicle in Georgia if it's as old as 1975. I went to the GA tag office and waited over an hour in line, only to be told that I also have to have a GA police officer physically inspect the vehicle and run a background on the VIN, and then sign a form before it can be registered or licensed in GA. My 30 day temporary insurance binder on the vehicle expires in 3 days if I cannot get the vehicle registered in GA, and I will be fined in GA by the tag office for not registering a vehicle within 30 days of purchasing it. In response to requests for shipping updates, Mr. Cal*** has given me numerous excuses for delays on his part. On August 23rd he indicated by text that it would be ready to go by the following Thursday (his dye person was coming in the following Wednesday the 28th to touch up some discoloration on the headliner). He has also attempted to excuse delays by saying that 'he needed to re-key the vehicle', that 'car was on floor plan and needed to be laid off', or that 'shipping would be delayed due to hurricane Dorian'. This all in spite of his assurance that it would be 'ready to go' on the 29th of August. Contrary to the excuse for shipping delays, my shipper indicated an ability to pick up the vehicle within two days. Mr. Cal*** most recently indicated that the vehicle was now actually scheduled by him with his shipper to be picked up by September 18th. I contacted my own shipping broker who informed me that there was no record of any vehicle scheduled for shipment from Mr. Cal***'s zip code to mine in the central dispatch system for auto transporters. I've attempted to arrange my own shipping and Mr. Cal*** will not provide necessary details of when and where the vehicle will be ready for pick up, or confirm that it is in fact 'ready to go'. My last text from him was "will get update and advise". He has not responded since despite repeated requests for confirmation of details. I had a shipper available to pick the car up Sept. 17th had Mr. Cal*** responded to me. I'm currently in a state of limbo, unable to get confirmation that it's being shipped by MJC, and unable to book my own transport. Based upon other complaints on this site, it's all the more concerning that there seems to be a pattern with MJC and Mr. Cal*** of excuses, misrepresentations and delays.

Desired Outcome

I would like Mr. Cal*** to cooperate with me in arranging shipping of this vehicle, and reimburse me for any fines which may be imposed by the GA tag office for delays in registering the vehicle, or I would like the entire purchase price fully refunded immediately.

MJC failure to transmit vehicle title to buyer for over three monthsafter purchase and full payment
I purchased a 1963 AMC Rambler American 440H VIN *** from Michael ***, General Manager and owner of MJC Classic Carfs in Lakeland Florida on May24, 2019 and wire transferred full payment of $15000 on May 26, 2019.
Immediately on fulfilling my contract obligations I requested that the vehicle title be sent to me asap. I made the same request by email, text and telephone to *** over 20 times since purchase date. It has now been almost four months and still no title.
Every time *** has the decency to respond to my requests, which is not often, he has a multitude of excuses or tells me that the title will be sent during a certain time frame. Nothing but lies - it never happens.
Without the vehicle title I cannot register the car (which took three months for *** to deliver to me - more excuses and lies), title the car or drive the car.
I am now in danger of violating Oregon law that requires all out of state vehicles be registered within 30 days.
*** holds himself and his business practices to be above those of his competitors, when in fact he is the perfect example of why used car dealers have such a bad reputation. I am sure he will have an excuse for this situation - he always does. At this point I am not even sure he has a valid title for the vehicle
The remedy is very simple: ALL I WANT IS GTHE TITLE TO THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED AND PAID FOR OR MY MONEY BACK AND THE $1850 TRANSPORT EXPENSE

Desired Outcome

All I want is to receive the title to the vehicle I purchased and paid for as quickly as possible or my $15,000 back plus the $1850 cost of transport and Caljhoon can arrange to pick up the vehicle.

MJCClassic cars claims to have sold my 1978 Buick Electra but, has not paid my share. I sent my Title; being told I had a buyer. Promised to send chk
I sent my 1978 Buick Electra to MJC Classic Cars to be sold for me as a consignment. This was about 2 years ago. Near the end of December 2018, I called up to ask about the status of the car and Mike Calhoun told me he had a buyer and if I would overnight the Title to him. I did that and nothing happened. I figured the financing fell through.

Back in July, I made another call to check on the status of the car. I was told he had a deposit check to hold the car. A month later, I called and Mike told me that the financing was slow but, the sale was being "wrapped up." I called a week later and was promised it would be in the mail. This was the week before Hurricane Dorian.

After the storm had passed, and business back to normal, I called and wanted to know why he never sent the check. He claimed his office manager was on vacation and he would have the check Fed-Ex'd to me WITH the tracking number this Monday (9/9/2019).

No longer trusting what Mike says, I sent in reminder e-mail today and left a message on his answering machine of what he had promised.

So, here it is and I'm through with him lying and stalling. I don't think the car was ever sold and he would have done better to tell me honestly that the car's price needed adjustment or perhaps try an auction. But, for this entire year, I've been LIED TO.

I demand either payment for the car as was agreed upon ($10,000) or the Title and car returned to me immediately.

Desired Outcome

If the car was sold, there should be a bill of sale. I demand the agreed upon amount of $10,000. Or, the Title, car, and extra parts included with the car returned to me immediately.

Mike told me he has the car sold and that repairs to my car prior to sale took longer than expected. I have called daily for 2 weeks with no response
Mike is dodging my calls as I expect he probably doesn't really have the car sold yet. Per our contract, I expect full payment 2 weeks ago but he hasn't taken or responded to my calls in the past two weeks. After visiting the Revdex.com website, I'm now not surprised by his tactics, as this seems to be a very common practice by Mike and his staff.

Desired Outcome

Delivery of my $18,000 for the sale of my car.

MJC sold 2 cars for me and I was not able to collect. After 9 months I offered to accept a car for amount owed trying to cut my losses.
The end of 2017 a 66 Fairlane was sent to MJC for sale. The car sold 1st of April and MJC ask for title on 24 April which I mailed. May 10th a 58 Fairlane was sent to MJC and I asked about payment for 66. MJC said check would be sent by Priority Mail when deal completed. I emailed again about 66 payment on July 10th and MJC replied he was in Ca. and would get update also had deposit on 58.July 23rd MJC wrote he would get update by Wed. and the deal on 58 had fallen thru. I ask MJC what he had found out on Wed. No ans. I called MJC Aug. 15th. and he said 66 would wrap up in 3 or 4 days. Sep 10th MJC said both cars sold and check for 66 next week and would call later about the 58. Oct. 10th I was away from home because of Hurricane Michael. I received a call from MJC asking for 58 title, had to have it then so he could close the 58. After mailing the title he wanted to mail a check for the 66 directly to CU. The only ans for not mailing to me was the hurricane. I gave him an address of a CU in Atlanta. After this the check was lost in the mail 3 times, could contact MJC after this. Nov. 11 made trip to Lakeland to talk with MJC and he assured me 66 check in 3 or 4 days and 58 the next week. I believed him until I got in car, it did not happen. Dec. 4th left message and he called and said business had been slow but would send check for 66 next week and check for 58 a few days later. This did't happen. The last of Dec. 2018 I saw on ebay that MJC had his car for sale so I contacted him. He Said he had a better one with a/c. Even tho I didn't want the car I though this might be a good way to cut my losses. On Jan.4th 2019 we came up with a deal on a 61 Olds Starfire, He was to make repairs which would take 6 weeks and he would keep me updated.I did ask for and receive an update on Mat 7th which didn't show much progress. I received the title after 4 months after emails and phone calls. Another update on May 9th saying would be out of upholstery shop Jun. 10th. After this MJC would not ans. phone or text and when he did he would be truthful. The pattern continues until now Aug 4th.

Desired Outcome

Being 80 yrs old and not being paid $43,000 has caused quite a bit of stress. I would rather have the $43,000 he sold my cars for or the car I agreed to take with all repairs done on contract attachment and ad. As you can see this has been going on for over a year. I always knew he was not always truthful but didn't want to argue with him. I do have emails, text and phone log.

Car was not as advertised on ***.
MJC Classic Cars, in Lakeland, FL, has to be the most frustrating company I have ever felt with in my 72 years.
Bought car on ***. Ad said car is ready to go with everything working as it should.
First week Mike C said car to go to shop for a final check before shipping. 2nd week he said it needs repairs will be ready net week.
Every week for two months, he said or his shop manager said it will be done next week. Finally on the 8th week car was ready to go. he set up *** to pickup but they could not find anyone. Paid 1000. to *** but they would only refund less 10% ($900). Took $100 for doing nothing. Setup my own Carrier to transport car.
I got car 2 months after I paid for it. Not all is 'working as it should'.
Picked up on a Monday. Title was to be overnighted to me that day. It was not. Mike C said he was eating for Title to send to me, even though AD said 'Clear Title'.
Haylee had sent me a copy of the title some time back. I asked Mike was it fake and he said no, I'll send it to you. After 2 weeks got a Tracking number. On 5/22 asked Mike if package was sent. He said he dropped at Post Office on way home.
As of 5/23 USPS does not show where package has come to them.
I do not know how they stay in business with the endless deceitt and numerous lies they tell you.

Anyone considering entering into a deal with MJC, PLEASE think again and don't do it. If you do you you will have many sleepless nights. You may have to

Car was delivered on 21 March 2019. To this date, 8 May 2019, I have not received title or license plates for the car. I only have a bill of sale.
I purchased and paid for by bank wire transfer, a 1950 Club Coupe from MJC Classic Cars on or about 16 October 2018. After numerous phone calls and emails regarding the status of the car and when I would receive it, the car was eventually delivered on 21 March 2019. I understand the delay was due to repair work being completed on the car and then transportation being arranged. The car was delivered in an undriveable condition (dead battery and absolutely no gas). The car was delivered without a temporary license tag. In visits to the Okaloosa Tax office on 3 separate occasions since 22 March 2019 and the last on 7 May 2019, I was informed each time that the 1950 Ford was still titled to MJC Classic Cars. Each time I contacted the seller, *** J ***, the first time on 22 March, he promised to get me a temporary tag and I received that. However, that tag expired on 23 April 2019. I have been unable to drive my car legally since then. On 7 May 2019, I again contacted the seller (Mr.) by phone and email concerning this issue. On the phone he assured me that his "tag" person would get to the bottom of this and call me by the end of the day. That did not occur, and has not occurred as of 7:30 PM, 9 May 2019. I have not had any communication, email or phone, with the seller since his promise to contact me by the end of the day on 7 May 2019 with a status update. According to what I was told by the Okaloosa Tax Office, the seller, as a car dealer, is responsible for getting me the title and license plates for the vehicle purchased. On my initial visit to the Okaloosa Tax Office, they actually called the seller's business to inform them of this requirement.

I will not go into other issues I have with the car because it was sold "as is" even though there were verbal agreements of what was to be repaired prior to my receiving the car, that were not met. At this point, I would just be happy with clear title and license plates in my name.

Desired Outcome

I would lilke the seller to provide me with the title and license tags that I paid for as soon as possible. As it stands now, after waiting months to receive the car, I can not drive it legally or have it registered in my name.

MJC Classic Cars Response • May 15, 2019

We have made numerous email attempts for receive the balance of information to transfer the title and license the car. We believe the information requested was going to into his spam... We need proof of insurance and a copy of the driver's license to handle this for ***.

I have spoken with him on the phone. This will be resolved shortly and we expect he will withdraw the complaint. His followup with us last week produced the same result of his thought we did not respond. His phone always goes to email and most times voice mails are not returned.

thank you and will advise as we fix this

Customer Response • May 19, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
MJC Classic Cars delivered the car title and license plate on Friday (17 May), 57 days after delivery of the car. As for MJC Classic Cars making numerous attempts to contact me, I find that totally false. No voice mails or text messages were left and nothing in my spam or junk mail. It would be strange that I received everyone else's voice mails and text messages, but none from them. Additionally, on almost every email to the owner of MJC Classic Cars, my signature block contained a statement that my cell phone is only used after 1600. That signature also included my business phone number. I have been checking my spam, both work and personal emails, nothing there. I am just happy I now have my car title and license plate, I am not happy that MJC Classic Cars is trying to put this back on me on this issue. If one is going to call my cell, at least leave a voice message so I can respond back. Please show this complaint with MJC Classic Cars closed as far as I am concerned.

I saw the car on eBay and called ***. We agreed to a price. I wired the monies on 4/17/2019. It's been 2 weeks and I can't get any answers.
Mike ***, the owner of MJC Classic Cars, was all too happy to keep calling me as to when the money would be wired from me. A beautiful 1966 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. I signed and faxed the purchase agreement on 4/15/19. $17,500.00 was wired on 4/17/2019. There were 86 pictures of it on eBay. I still have the eBay sales ad. I tried emailing, texts, phone calls. I rarely get a response to why the car isn't ready to be shipped. The car was suppose to be "Immaculately restored". When I was able to talk to Mike he kept telling me that it's still in the shop waiting to be serviced. It's been 2 weeks now. The car in the advertisement said that is fully restored.

Desired Outcome

Just refund me the $17,500.00. I don't want to deal with a person who isn't honest about their work.

Mike *** and I had a lengthy phone conversation. We have determined that there was a misunderstanding between us. I apologize for any inconvenience that I may have caused to Mike and his business.

Purchased the 1982 FJ 40 Toyota in January 2019. Still have not received the title to vehicle and it is the end of April.
Purchased the 1982 FJ 40 Toyota in January 2019 from *** of MJC Classics Cars. Have made numerous requests for title to vehicle and still have not received the title to vehicle and it is the end of April. Mr. blames the owners who signed title in wrong place, has made numerous requests by phone and email for title. There were issues in the truck as well that make it very unsafe to drive-steering, throttle, etc that Mr. finally after near 4-months sent a check in the amount of 500.00 to go towards repairs that will exceed 1,800.00. I informed Mr. at time point to just take the truck back and refund our purchase price. No response. Other than to say for us to have truck shipped back at him expense for the repairs that should have been made prior to selling the vehicle.

Desired Outcome

The vehicle was sold to us without a legal tile when it was advertised as having a clear title. We have waited 4-months for the tile, which has still not arrived after over a half dozen phone calls and over a dozen emails, and promises from car dealer. Repairs still need to be made to make vehicle safe to drive. We just want to have dealer take back truck and refund the money we paid for vehicle, taxes and tires that were put on.

February 5th I wired $17000.00 toMJC Classic Cars LLC as requested by Michael C (owner) for the purchase of 1959 Ford Thunderbird Vin *** to his bank account ***. I recieved by my email a Retail Purchase Agreement deal number *** signed by Haylee R. I have not recieved a title to the car. I have been in touch by phone *** several times trying to get a shipping date but have not been successful. I received his word that the car would be shipped at the latest on this date 02/25/2019. I am not able to reach Michael C at this time.

Desired Outcome

I would like a total refund of the total $17000.00.

I have spoken with the client. He has apologized and told me he was contacting you to withdraw his complaint. He said he was confused on his dates and it was his error.

His car has been shipped.

We were paid for this car 20 calendar days ago... I explained we are the only dealership that fixes their cars before he bought the car...

When he bought the car, I told him it would be 10-15 working days to run it thru my shop and complete final repairs... Last Monday was day #13.

The day after he purchased the car he started asking when it would be shipped... over the next 20 days I have had at least 40 phone calls from him along with numerous emails... I have talked to him on the phone at least 10 times and answered every email...

Last weekend when he continued to call, he received my voicemail over and over that I was at auction. Since I could not call him back, he filed complaints. He has apologized and it has been accepted.

I received the car on Friday Mar.8. Car was in better shape than I imagined. While I found working with the dealer was somewhat rancorous at times, the end result was very satisfying.

Michael C sold a car I had put a $1000.00 down payment on. He texted to me that he would refund my deposit. He hasn't. He won't answer calls.
Michael C sold a car I had (by proxy) put a $1000.00 down payment on. He texted to me that he would refund my deposit. He hasn't. He won't answer calls, he won't return calls. He doesn't even read my texts.

Desired Outcome

I want my deposit of $1000.00 returned to me.

The client bought this car in December with a $1,000 deposit paid by her relative and the balance of $16,000 to be paid in two weeks. After four weeks, the buyer did not know when the balance could be paid.

We cancelled the sale and her deposit is being returned to the relative that paid it. Check out Monday 2/18

we needed to sell the car to another client when we could not be assured when we would be paid. The relative was told this over the phone early this week

thank you

MJC Classic Cars took 3.5 months to ship paid-for car, plus 6 months more for title.Per agreement, MJC is to refund $1500.00 but has not.
I have been going through a 10-month ordeal to get a car and title that I bought from MJC Classic Cars in Lakeland, Florida. The car was paid for in full March 6, 2018. It took three and a half months to get the car shipped to me. Mike C gave me few updates, and, in every case, he did not follow through on his "commitments". His transportation partner told me they could not ship the car for the $1400 price that Mike quoted. I arranged for another shipper once the cars was finally ready, paid more for shipping, and received the car late June 2018.
I waited a few weeks for the title to be sent to me and when it did not arrive, I contacted MJC Classic Cars and was told, "I checked and the title will be here in 2 - 3 days". When I did not get the title, I contacted the MJC dealership and was told I had to talk to Mike directly. From August through mid-September Mike missed commitment after commitment giving me various excuses. Lie, delay, lie, delay. My temporary California registration was expiring and the California DMV told me that I must file a complaint with the FL DMV (FLHSMV) and get a complaint number in order to get short extension on the CA temp registration. I filed the FLHSMV complaint on September 18. After 2 months, the FLHSMV examiner told me that Mike C had not respond to the complaint, and they referred my complaint to a Compliance Examiner. My CA temp registration expired Nov 30 and I was told I could have no more extensions and that the car would be impounded if it was driven or parked on a public road. In early December I was advised by the FLHSMV Compliance Examiner that MJC had to provide me a full refund for the car plus all of my expenses, and that MJC had to pay to ship it back to Florida.
On December 4, Mike C emailed me, "I offer these two options to be completed no later than 12/14. 1. Title in your possession and a $1,500 refund for the delay, or 2. Refund of your monies in full. I need until the end of next week to accumulate the cash. I would pay the shipping back to me". Note that the FLHSMA Examiner was copied on all emails at this time. I chose option 1 because I do want the car and I was concerned that MJC did not have the funds to pay me back (based on other Revdex.com complaints). I contacted Mike by phone late on December 14. He said he did not have the money for the refund, and said he was still working on getting the title from the seller's attorney. He missed a few subsequent dates. He finally gave me proof on Saturday Dec 22 that he had the title in his possession and, because of the holiday, I would have the title, signed over to me, on Thursday Dec 27. On Sunday, Dec 23, I sent Mike an email confirming that on Thursday Dec 27, I would receive the Title signed over to me, plus a check for $1500.00. Mike confirmed, YES. I received the title on Dec 27, but no check. As typical for the rest of Mike C's commitments for the past 10 months; 12/27 "No one was here to sign the check. It will go out tomorrow", 1/4/19 "thought it went out. Will check Monday". Since then, no communication and no check.
Look at these other Revdex.com complaints. Pattern and Practice. Lie, Delay, Lie, Delay. And always, "God Bless you for your patience".

Desired Outcome

Send me the agreed upon $1,500.00 refund

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have accepted the $1,500.00 refund from MJC and I feel the matter is closed. I sincerely hope that the Revdex.com does post this complaint in its entirety. No one should have to take 10 months, the intervention of the FLHSMV, and the Revdex.com to get title to a car that was paid for in full.
