Hi *** I wanted to let you know that we researched this customer’s complaint further and since [redacted] had told me that he would speak with the customer, I had my parts department research the parts pricing and availability since [redacted] said we would give the customer the plastic piece he claimed we took, and we found out that the cover that this customer is saying that was missing after we serviced his car does not exist, because the vehicle is not equipped with this pieceI even had my Shop Foreman walk the lot and inspect other Honda Accords 2012-and none of the vehicles have this cover I just called the customer and spoke with him about what we found out and the customer accepted that he most likely made a mistakeAt this time Mossy Honda does not need to give the customer the plastic piece that he thought we took because it doesn’t exist and it’s not available to purchase Let me know if you have any additional questionsThanks

Mossy Honda Lemon grove emailed me a quote for a new Honda Civic, I doubled checked price and asked for an "out the door" price that would include everythingThey emailed me that tooI called them to make sure they have the vehicle, and said I was coming in with a check to purchase the vehicle for the quoted price and to call me once they have the vehicle ready to sell AND to please have everything ready so we don't waste a lot of time in the dealershipThey called and said the car they quoted is waiting for meSo when we arrived, they walked us around their facility but could not locate the vehicleRobert, the salesman said "oh it's getting detailed." The sales people assured us they would honor the price they quoted via emailThen he had us sit in the show room and filled out financing information even though we told them we don't need their financing, and showed them the checkThey wanted me to show them the emails of the quotes their sales person sent meI didThen they came back with the list of dollar amounts that is different than what they quoted meI said no I only want the vehicle they quoted, NOTHING ELSEThey insisted I pay an extra $for all weather mats, plastic trunk liner and locking nuts for the hubcapsI said I don't want any of that to please take them off the vehicle and I will purchase it for the price they quotedThey refusedThat's after hours sitting around for a vehicle that I never sawDECEPTIVEThis is the worst review I've ever written

I purchased a used vehicle from Mossy Honda years agoEver since, I have received robo calls and advertising calls and texts from this company with advertisements and wanting me to buy from them againThey continually change the number from which they call, and sometimes use a "private number" that does not show up on my phone, so I can't block itI am on the no call listI have talked to them several times about itWhen I call them they are rude and they say things like, "You're not on our list so I can't take you off." I have reviewed them on YelpI have reported them to the FCC and to CA no call deptbut Mossy Honda continues this practiceHow does a person stop a big business from abusing people, harassing people and breaking the law? I have tried everythingI am sooo sorry I bought a car from them

Hi [redacted], I wanted to let you know that we researched this customer’s complaint further and since [redacted] had told me that he would speak with the customer,I had my parts department research the parts pricing and availability since [redacted] said we would give the customer the plastic piece he claimed...

we took, and we found out that the cover that this customer is saying that was missing after we serviced his car does not exist, because the vehicle is not equipped with this piece.I even had my Shop Foreman walk the lot and inspect other Honda Accords 2012-2015 and none of the vehicles have this cover. I just called the customer and spoke with him about what we found out and the customer accepted that he most likely made a mistake. At this time Mossy Honda does not needto give the customer the plastic piece that he thought we took because it doesn’t exist and it’s not available to purchase. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I would first like to correct the names of my son and myself. I am [redacted], the person who bought the car, my son [redacted] helped in the negotiations. Mossy Honda had got this wrong along with other things listed below.   I made no ‘deal’ with Mossy to get a car, of the color I wanted, from L.A. When I left the Mossy dealership they said they would look further afield as they could not find one in the local area but it may take up to 3 months as that model I wanted had a low production rate. I told Mossy that was not a problem as I was in no hurry.   My son had spoken to Mossy before we went to the dealership and agreed on a price, which they honored. When I went to purchase the vehicle the sales rep. then started talking about upgrades to the basic; I accepted the first package that was offered, a $695 package that had “Wheel lock nuts, Trunk tray and Mud flaps”. Mossy then started offering another package (which included tinted windows) which I DECLINED. This was the only time that tinted windows were mentioned during the deal that was made.    The next morning I had a call to say that Mossy had located a car in L.A. but if it was OK with me it would have approx 100 miles on the clock as it would have to be driven down to San Diego. I said this would not be a problem. No mention was made that it had tinted windows.   Mossy told me they had the car and I agreed to pick it up the next morning. I went in and went through all the paperwork and paid in full, for the vehicle. When the paper work was completed and I had paid they took me out to the car. As we passed the car their rep. quickly pointed out that it had tinted windows and we got into the car. He then went through the many operating features that the car had inside and gave me the wheel lock fittings that were needed. He then gave me the keys and I left. Up to this point everything seemed to be going well with no problems.   The next day opened the hatch back and noticed there was no trunk tray, also there were no mud flaps. I called Mossy and the sales rep said he would drop the trunk tray by my house as he lived close by, this he did. He also said they had no mud flaps in stock but they would order them.    Mossy called the next day to say they had the mud flaps and I arranged to go over the following morning to have them fitted. After about a 2 hour wait I was told they were having problems installing them. After another 30 minutes. the service rep. came and told that they did not fit because Honda do not make mud flaps for that particular model. (Surely a Honda dealership should have known this)    I was then told I could have ‘floor mats’ instead to which I reluctantly agreed. They were all weather rubber mats. I had assumed there were no other floor mats in the car but when I later looked there were already carpet floor mats provided, so why would I need rubber maps on top?   The next day I called and Mossy to say they could have the floor mats back and I would like a partial refund on the $695 as they could not supply all the extras we had agreed to. At first Mossy declined  to  pay anything but finally came up with an offer of $150, which I refused as the mud flaps would have been the major cost of the $695 package for which I had paid. I then told Mossy I would get in touch with the Revdex.com or if necessary a lawyer unless they could come back with a better offer.   My son, [redacted], then got in touch with Mossy and they increased their offer to $250. My son said he would talk to me to see if that was acceptable. I agreed. [redacted] then called them to accept the offer but did not get a reply. He tried later but still no response so he left a message to say that it was acceptable. The following day he left to go on vacation, before he left he said I should receive the check from Mossy in a few days, it never arrived.   My son called Mossy again after he got home to tell them we had not received the $250. Mossy now say it is no longer possible to pay the $250 because we left it too long!!! My son did respond in a timely manner but if Mossy do not answer the phone or pick up messages what we supposed to do? I do not understand why Mossy carried on trying to supplying the trunk tray and mud flaps when they now say they were taken out of the deal, the first time Mossy mentioned this was in their response to my Revdex.com complaint.    I do not understand why it was possible to refund $250 at the time but not now?
