Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted] ***

For an established large dealership in San Diego, I can not believe that they tried to pull a fast one on meTrying to get a car for my daughter as a gift for her when she goes to collegePicked the car online, talked to one of the salesman went to the dealer locationI mentioned that I was already pre-approved with USAA and will not be using their financeSigned all the documents and went home with the car (running on fumes so had to gas up) Next morning I called my bank to confirm that the fund was released, they said no so I called dealer in the morning to remind the about faxing the required papersChecked my bank again later that afternoon and still nothingI called the dealer again but this time they said I agreed to use their finance service because they don't fax any kind of paperwork to the bank for financing....WOWI finally got a hold of the finance guy that I signed the papers with and his excuse was it was a mof client and that he will fax it the next day because the manager was already gone but what the funny thing was my salesman texted me that it was already faxed....which I know was a lie because I checked with my bank a couple of times

Unfortunatley we were unable to duplicate the customer's concerns on 10/29/2014, technician road tested and checked for any trouble codes and nothing was found We did ask the client if he would leave the vehicle overnight so we could re-inspect in the a.m, due to the fact we found nothing in our inspection the customer did not feel the need to leave it overnight Vehicle was then taken to Toyota Poway days later and they found the power steering system was leaking and or blew a hose We realize this is frustrating for the customer however we can't fix what we can't see or feel, our inspection did not indicate any leaks at the time

I wanted to let you know that I was contacted this morning by Mossy Toyota after they were instructed by their corporate office to get this handled I was assured that it would be a top priority now, so I think I can safely say that the complaint is resolved

I have spoken to our shop foreman who was involved in this diagnosis, this vehicle does have a head gasket leak, we have pictures to show proof We have no control over what the independent repair facility does or say's, we only have our complete and accurate diagnosis with pictures to verify It is our opinion that the independent repair facility just reset the codes and the condition will re-occur In addition it was the customer request to replace the spark plugs after research on the internet We of course are willing to provide all documents and pictures and statements from our Master technician With respect to the customer we would be interested to review the independent repair facility's documentation regarding their inspection and findings and their qualifications

We contacted customer and sold the part for the originally quoted price, we apologized, part shipped out today

I understand the problem could not be duplicated, but it was poorly was checkedI also was told in Poway that my brakes were dangerously low to the point of metal to metal but that was not checked eitherAfter having my car for 1/hours how was nothing found or checked?Like I said before there is a reason why there are so many complaints about your service center and your ratings based customer reviews on yelp and google are so poor compared to other car dealersI will never trust you or or service and will continue to let people know how your poor service cost more money, time, and according to Toyotas Poways judgment, left me an unsafe car

The customer stated he was satisfied with our offer to inspect and perform a brake job at no charge to him if needed, detail the vehicle and supply a free rental Customer stated he would close this complaint

Our position remains unchanged, our process was flawless and the diagnosis was accurate, just because the check engine light has not come on yet is not an indication everything is operating normally. We would be happy to re-inspect her vehicle and show her the results of our inspection into the head gasket leak. The allegation that the pictures we have provided may not be her vehicle is insulting, we would never provide documents or evidence that was not factual
Once again we would be pleased to provide another inspection at no charge to show the client and her technician our findings of the blown head gasket

in our inspection the customer did not feel the need to leave it overnight.
Vehicle was then taken to Toyota Poway 5 days later and they found the power steering system was leaking and or blew a hose.
We realize this is frustrating for the customer however we can't fix what we can't see or feel, our inspection did not indicate any leaks at the time.

It is resolved.  We asked the customer to bring the car back and we are picking it up today at 5 pm Thank you,  [redacted] Corporate Purchasing ManagerMossy Automotive Group619-818-4889858-654-2218

We have already responded to this complaint previously, we have denied any assistance, another Toyota Dealership verified our diagnosis was correct.

Their response is bogus. I have proof from the new auto repair shop that it is definitely not a blown head gasket. Not only did they do a full diagnostic but they drove my truck around 60+ miles to confirm that there wasn't an issue. My check engine light never turned back on and it's been running fine. Toyota sent me pictures outside of this response, showing a wet cylinder (they are stating in mine, can't say that it is or not) from their diagnostic (supposedly), but that doesn't prove anything. They stated coolant was leaking and there wasn't any 'red/pinkish' color substance in any of the photos they provided me. The truth of the matter is, that after taking it to the other auto repair shop and having them do a full diagnostic as well, there isn't an issue with my truck and certainly not a blown head gasket. I have been driving my truck for the past day and a half with absolutely no issues. I have and can provide whatever documentation you/they need. I want to be reimbursed. They lied. I do not trust them and they have cost me so much time and money over this. It's sickening.

Worst finance dept. I was supposed to be issued a rebate check 8 weeks ago. I have yet to receive anything. I have called mossy toyota finance dept and they will not return a call. I have emailed them they will not reply. I have filled a complaint with toyota customer service case #[redacted]. They keep directing me back to toyota mossy. Finally I got a call back today from valerie finance manager who was extremely rude. she gave me a number to call to check on my rebate status. I called 1-888-368-3074 and they have no and I mean no record for mossy toyota requesting a rebate. I need this resolved. Nobody knows anything and nobody is willing to help.

A few weeks ago I applied for a 2016 Scion iM with Mossy Toyota. Both my cosigner and I were told our credit together was confirmed to go through. Well, we show up to sign the papers when they tell us that we need to put more of a down payment, so after a while, I agree and things are signed and sealed. They have a 10 day policy where they reserve the right to cancel the contract and take back the car if no one finances. That alone is shady and I cannot believe I agreed to it. THREE WEEKS pass by and I get a letter where they are exercising the right to cancel the contract due to no one financing. I'm obviously upset but decided to turn it in rather than be haggled to find another cosigner or put more of a down payment.

The REAL issue happens when I claim my down payment refund. Luckily, I was getting it all back since it was cancelled on their end. However, I was out of town and gave full permission to a family member to pick up my check. They call her in the next day to pick it up (mind you, this dealership is way out of our way.) and she goes in only to find out that its not ready and it needs a second signature from the owner of the business. 1) why call in someone if its not ready 2) the owners not there and you should know that 3) you wasted miles, gas, and the time of someone.

She leaves and lets the weekend roll through. (This happened on Friday) and Monday comes in and she calls through to see if its ready. Theres miscommunication from their end and no one wants to deal with the issue so my sister was forced to go in person to see what's going on. She shows up, and went to the finance manager, Valerie, who rudely turned her away. She goes to the receptionist and asked for someone in charge. She was upset because she was being bounced around and ignored. Who wouldn't be? After verbally stating how upset she was and making demands, someone came up to help and mentioned that there was no check. ever. The reason being because the check that I originally gave bounced. WELL, I PAID CASH, GUYS. A THOUSAND IN CASH.

She flipped off and question if they knew which client she was talking about. They clearly didn't and used that overly used excuse to throw her off and send her away.

Well, paybacks a [redacted] because she chewed them up after that. They then say that they can have the check ready by 4 PM that day. To which she said no. They were to deliver it to her.

Why would someone, knowing full well that they dropped the ball big time on their behalf, acted shady and unprofessional throughout the whole ordeal, ask her to come back? It's common sense, you self deliver that check because you fked up. Plain and simple. Own up to it.

It was delivered that day but in all, the way things were handled, they had it coming to them. I would not wish this experience on anyone, even my enemies. I would strongly advise anyone and everyone to stay clear from Mossy Dealerships because the way the practice is shady and wrong.

They kiss your [redacted] to close the deal despite knowing its going to end from their behalf, they just want the sale. But once things go awry, they send you into this limbo and cast you aside as if your trash.

The terrible thing about this is that this was my first time car buying experience and poor professionalism ruined that. (and they'll continue to run that way until the hopefully shut down).
